You’re Not Helping, Duncan.

Here’s the deal. Trump is playing all coy and fey over whether or not he’s going to pardon Eddie Gallagher, a Navy SEAL who is charged with all manner of cold-blooded war crimes including murdering a prisoner under his charge.

Along comes Duncan Hunter, a Republican congressman from California, with a full belly from being charged with using $250,000 in campaign funds to pay for family vacations and other personal expenses.

Hunter, a veteran, is trying to make Gallagher more normal.

“Eddie did one bad thing that I’m guilty of, too — taking a picture of the body and saying something stupid,” Hunter said at the meeting about border issues in the Southern California town of Ramona, according to the Times of San Diego.

Hunter, who served two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan when he was on active duty (he later was deployed to Afghanistan as a reservist, as well), said he had taken pictures “just like that when I was overseas,” according to the Times. Hunter said he did not text or post the images.

That right there violates the Defense Department Law of War.  But hell, at least he didn’t spend $250,000 in campaign donations for a family vacation in Hawaii, tequila shots, rounds of golf, and I don’t even want to know what else.

Gallagher might want to find somebody of better moral character to vouch for him.

IQ4.5 has somewhat of an excuse for having as miserable an understanding of the UCMJ as he does the US Constitution. Donnie had fake bones spurs and didn’t serve. What’s Duncan’s excuse? The UCMJ is clear. It doesn’t require interpretation. It is not like the Ten Commandments or BuyBull which have become the Ten Suggestions and book of hypocrisy through charlatan grifter ‘preachers’ and buffet KKKristians.

If IQ4.5 were anything other than a toddler-in-thief, he’d demand an end to a more minor infraction of the UCMJ, the defacing military uniforms. Service members are seriously wearing Donnie patches on their uniforms. What Gallagher did should make a real CIC puke. But then a real CIC would also know what is way out wrong about those Donnie patches and put a stop to it.

  2. Okay, Duncan, then you should be indicted also.

So there’s this (see below) – but also this idiot just gave a written confession that he had committed a crime. Shouldn’t the UCMJ open an investigation on this?

SAN DIEGO — A federal judge Monday set a Sept. 10, 2019, trial date for recently re-elected Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Alpine, and his wife, who were indicted in August on charges they spent more than $250,000 in campaign funds on personal expenses.

Despite facing federal charges of conspiracy, wire fraud and falsification of records, Hunter captured 54 percent of the vote last month to defeat Democratic challenger Ammar Campa-Najjar and hold onto to his seat in the 50th Congressional District.

Gregory Vega, the lead attorney for Duncan Hunter, told U.S. District Judge Thomas Whelan that the defense has received “extensive discovery” from federal prosecutors, and that he would be ready for a motions hearing on July 29.

Sharon Grieff, the UCMJ is a document (Uniform Code of Military Justice.) The military would be unlikely to prosecute Hunter as he is not on active duty. His reserve status is questionable. According to Military Times, Hunter remained in the Marine Corps Reserve until 2017. That’s not confirmed but would seem to indicate he has been discharged of any reserve obligation. Appears we will have to be satisfied with the outcome of the many federal charges in civilian court.

Lindsey Graham was active reserve last I knew and they haven’t strung him up for treason yet. Actions while in uniform generally have a greater penalty than those while not in uniform. But high treason?
