You Can Be a Senator from Idaho Even if Your Brain is an Actual Potato

June 27, 2021 By: El Jefe Category: Holy Crap, Shaming Trumpists

Mike Crapo is a US Senator from Idaho.  An actual US Senator.  And he tweeted THIS today:

Clearly, after the Twitterverse erupted, he deleted the tweet and issued a second one.  It’s still factually incorrect since Bradley’s body was actually recovered in 1943, but not identified until recently.

I’ve enjoyed this immensely on a Sunday afternoon.  LOL.

  1. At least the Senator has an apt name for his stupidity.

Stupid is as stupid does. Republicans really don’t care about facts, part infinity plus one.

  3. Like the geeks say, “Crapo in, Crapo out.”

  4. Who cares about facts in Idaho? When your senator issues a potato brain tweet, constituents immediately think about whether they want butter or sour cream with it.

As someone said, the Vietnam draft was so bad they were even taking dead people.

Idaho has become a little Texas or Florida, not to belittle all texans because those that frequent the salon are smart Texans. I’m thinking of goober gomert type texans. I think of Idaho as the place where I grew up and was schooled for 30+ years. I don’t recognize the state I loved. The politicians are like mike crapo, full of crappo.
Oh, FYI, the ideeho AG has formed an “indoctrination committee” that has plans to implement the desantis college requirement that students declare their political beliefs. She also wants the committee to look at what k-12 students are being taught from an historic perspective. No critical race theory allowed.

  10. I guess this is of a piece with Trump claiming that during the Revolutionary War we fought the British at the airports.

TTPT: hey, if we don’t stop those Redcoats at the airports, next thing you know they will be crashing catered events at the Four Seasons.

When did the US Senate drop all requirements for its members to have minimally functional brains? Too long ago, I think. Does Sen. Crapo really have no idea when the Viet Nam War started? He was alive for it, so even he should recognize that it wasn’t fought in the 1940’s.

Sometimes, I despair for the country.

  14. Opinionated Hussy says:

Okay, let’s say they had surveyed my opinions when I left home for college. I had been a Young Republican in high school; I thought the government never lied,…you can proceed from there.

Then in May the National Guard started shooting unarmed college students, and this Hussy made a sharp and irreversible U-turn to the Left. Who created this radical leftie? The Authoritarians of the world, not any underpaid college adjutant faculty members!

  15. well, I suppose technically there was a Vietnam War being fought in the 40’s, but the US had nothing to do with it. the Vietnamese were fighting the Japanese occupation forces, during WWII.

    15
  16. It’s not the Idaho AG (a good guy as Republicans go) but the Lt. Gov. who is having a rather secretive “task force” study CRT and indoctrination in the schools.
Oh, BTW she’s running for Governor.

Larry Craig had a really wide stance on various issues.

I stand corrected. Should have said Lt guv. Maybe the ideeho AG should weigh in on the legality of the “indoctrination committee”/police. He probably won’t, though. That would be bad repugnanticanism.
Figure the Lt guv will get a trumpf endorsement? Or maybe it will be ammon bundy. Either way, this is not the Idaho I knew from 1958-1988. I went to both the U of I and BSU- hope at least they stand up to her and say no way.
