Y’all, This Is Just Mean

December 18, 2021 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Come on, y’all, this is like saying that a tin foil hat will roast your brain or no more warning labels on paper cups of kool-aid.

So, some guy comes up with a magic amulet that will protect you from 5G mobile networks, although nobody even knows what they will do to you. And by they I mean 5G networks. The amulet, on the other hand, will make you look like a damn fool.

Well, come to find out, maybe more than a damn fool.

The Dutch authority for nuclear safety and radiation protection (ANVS) issued a warning about ten products it found gave off harmful ionising radiation.

They are radioactive.

What’s more, stickers sold on Amazon, and not cheaply I might add, to protect your phone from 5G have also been found to be radioactive.

My first thought was that somebody sold these to cull the herd of idiots.  But, that would be mean.

However, I want you to think about this: these people will wear radioactive jewelry and stickers to protect themselves from something totally harmless, but will not wear a damn mask to protect themselves from death and spreading the disease to their family and friends.

It’s a great time to be alive, ain’t it?

  1. Wow! Digital detox! Boosted energy! Improved mood! Better concentration! Reduced anxiety! Safe for all ages! Retunes those frequencies at the source! What a wonder! What’s not to like?

    Doc Brinkley lives.

  2. True dat, Ms. JJ. If irony had a medical use, pernicious anemia would certainly be cured in the coming weeks.

Then again with the MAGATs keeping us in continuous SMDH mode, we may all want to consider calcium supplements or will there already be too much calcium from cranial shed?

To the “it’s a great time to be alive, ain’t it” comment, I’d add we’re lucky to still be alive with all the conspiracy nuts, anti vaxxers and mask deniers roaming around amongst us.

I could do with a wee bit less interesting, maybe.

BFSMan: thanks for the link about Doc Brinkley. Had not heard of him before. What a hoot! I particularly enjoyed the part about his radio station advertising autographed photos of Jesus Christ.

  6. I was reading earlier today that the amount of radiation released from one these lucky charms is equivalent to five dental X-rays everyday they wear it. But the true believers will only believe the mighty Q therefore there will be a flood of irradiation cancers clogging our hospitals. Apparently, Covid wasn’t enough…

  12. 5G is little different from the previous cellular generations, mostly the same frequencies, power [or less], LTE, etc. It does use multiple frequencies sometimes, called ‘CA/CarrierAggregation’, more than other Gens.

I was [sometimes] in the cellular business, also often worked with P-P microwave systems [multiple FCC licenses], and radar [have several units myself now].
Have sometimes been exposed to open microwave beams when handling live waveguide/coax, still kicking ass. Two co-workers I know of died of brain cancer, was it related? Only know one person who was [or claimed] burned accidentally by microwave, a university microwave radio instructor who worked on radar in the Navy.

As far as 5G mobile radio frequency health risks, 5G uses many of the same frequency bands as the other cellular [1G-2-3-4G-LTE] technologies. 5G also has some higher bands not used by the older systems, but those higher bands aren’t widely deployed yet.
In any case, the radio transmissions from the phones are –extremely weak–, usually in the –picowatt– range. The modern cellsite transmitter’s power output levels are also quite low [1G/2G were higher, but on the low frequency end].
Your home systems also emit RF energy in the same frequency ranges, your ‘wifi’ equipment, etc.

While I always respect such even minutely dangerous stuff, this whole ‘anti-5G’ cult are just more typical whackjob types with something else to get wound up about.

Like it or not, 5G is here and will soon be universal. To prevent Bill Gates from tracking you 24/7, because he has nothing better to do, you must throw away your phone. Now. Do it! If you need to call someone, find a pay phone.

    That should keep them busy.

Would I be wrong to believe somebody in the region of Chernobyl just thought of a way to get rich quick?

  15. The worst thing I’ve heard about 5G (from actual electrical engineers) is that it is a minimal technological improvement over 4G that has been massively hyped by telecoms.

    15
  16. Buttermilk Sky @13, SsOk, 6G is already in the planning stages…

Gates is a minor player in the ‘tracking you’ biz.
Besides the gubmint, Google is truly frightening scaryasshit.
I severely minimize use of –any– Google stuff [have never used the Chrome browser for example]. Opera is the best all-around browser, it has a fantastic built-in adblocker and VPN, among many other features, and I use several other browsers. Unfortunately Android phones only, but I do very little on them. But the evil Goog still knows far far too much.

Use every IP protection you can. A good VPN tops the list. I use the free version ProtonVPN and Mail, and others.

My IP traffic usually goes through two or more VPNs, and I switch around, can appear to be in many places, and of course it’s encrypted six ways from Sunday.

  17. Bill F. @15, Agree that the mobile carriers have massively over-hyped 5G mobile tech, and oversold it currently. Beyond the capability of the existing, but greatly expanding and upgrading, cellular systems capacity of today in many places [just have a look at some reddit mobile sections]. But they’ve been driven by psuedo-competitive factors under our asinine political-economic biz environment.

But as far as the actual 5G technology goes, your EE hearsay is just flat incorrect, 5G is in fact a great tech leap forward.
It’s true that a preponderance of the benefits of 5G go to the carriers themselves, but we customers/users of it will, and are, seeing huge advantages to 5G mobile too.

I state this first as a now quite happy 5G cellular user, then as a [rtd] former tech mgr/ee in the cellular industry itself [not my main area, but fully engaged when doing those systems was required].

In my rural area until not too many years ago a dialup ISP was the best internet available [really sucked], absolutely no cable, fiber, or even DSL, and satellite is just a non-starter [I was awaiting Elon’s Starlink when I jumped on a great cellular ISP deal w/T-mob, yeehaa…].
City folk live in a totally different ‘digital’ world, if they [can] pay for it.

Then barely usable cellular 2/3G hotspots came along, 4G/4G-LTE helped a lot but still quickly became barely adequate [the web stuff continually gobbles more and more data].

Now the steadily improving 5G system provides ISP data beyond anything that I personally can foresee needing [and I’ve always been ‘riding’ the tech wave]. Hell, I’ve gone from eeking out 2-20G/mo of data to 100G+/mo because I can efficiently stream stuff now.
Speedtests went from dialup 32Kbps, 2-500K, to 1-5Mbps, then 15-50M recently, now at 220-500Mbps [way more than I need]. All because of the changing and improving technology.
And many peeps in better 5G cellular coverage areas see 1-2Gbps, and use Terabytes of data, which is fiber-level ISP stuff [which I can’t imagine, I guess they stream 4K TV to 10 sets all day].

    So yeah, 5G is cool.
