5Sounds like the perfect metaphor to me.
BTW: It is highly unlikely that Biden’s inauguration will look like any of the previous ones (perhaps with the exception of Reagan’s second). Packed VIP stands at the Capitol? Not likely. Huge crowds on the Mall? For what? The ceremony will probably be held in the Rotunda with a small, socially-distant assembly to witness it No parade, either. Also, no inaugural balls.
Personally, I would prefer the ceremony take place in the White House where, after Biden’s big speech, we can all watch the Orange Moron and Melanoma be escorted out the door for good.
Then, for entertainment, we can watch the casino implode.
6AC Mayor Marty Small is as anxious to rid AC of Donnie’s derelict building as we are to rid ourselves of Donnie. Putin and whoever else owed money cannot be happy with the state of their golf course revenues and other failing enterprises.
Seems like an eternity before we’ll see the best sides (the sides that are leaving) of moribund Donnie and morbid Messy.
Joe, can we call you Joe for a couple of more weeks? Then President-elect Biden, then President Biden! How about celebrating with a Fireside Chat, a little hot chocolate and some FDR warmth. Republicons are always crying about ‘better’ times, so let’s give them their final wish, a roll back to 1945. Then we can roll forward making them regret their wishes.
Neither a sore loser nor sore winner, but Moscow Mitch owes us big time for the last 12 years. So a little retribution, reparations, and a whole lot of incarcerations doesn’t seem like too much to ask, does it?

I wanted to make a comment about Con Man Don imploding on Inauguration Day, but I believe I’ll go back to my older wish: I want Trump out of the country on inauguration day, fleeing prosecution and never to return, with his property around the world (and especially here) being confiscated for fraud, back taxes, nonpayment of hundreds of millions in debt to banks and oligarchs here and there around the world. I want him gone in disgrace, knowing that he and his crooked clan can never come back again without being arrested.
9I’d like to suggest that southern states with Confederate statues gathering dust in their state office basements, free up some space. Ship those bronze generals and whatnot to Atlantic City. They could be lined up on the roof of Trump tower before the implosion – – and now ladies and gentlemen, black, white, them, they, etc, welcome to our show!
10I’d like to see Trump on Air Force 1 heading for Florida when Biden takes the oath. Biden’s first act can be to order the plane to turn around, land at La Guardia, and hand Trump over for transport to the city jail. Pity they closed Rikers.

13I wondered the same thing. According to Wikipedia, Trump personally oversaw the construction from 82 to 84. Which means that besides screwing contractors every chance he got, his biggest contribution to the project was circumventing quality codes and safety costs. Probably lots of bribes and blackmail.
So for someone who bragged so much about making his fortune by building skyscrapers, when mostly he just let other people pay him to put his name on their own buildings, the fact that this 36 year old piece of crap that he claimed oversight of is falling apart is perfect.
F**king trump yelled more than anybody else that America needs to be run like a business. His business. The Biden campaign needs to making commercials right now.
This is Trump’s idea of making America great again.
