Well, Isn’t That Just The Sweetest Thing Ever

Phyllis Schlafly – when America was great again.

It appears that her final act was endorsing Donald Trump.

“Phyllis endorsed me at a time when it was not necessarily the thing to do, even the popular thing to do, and I will never forget that that had a great, great impact,” Trump said. “I look forward to being with her family tomorrow.”

So then ….

If this is the great Trump wants to take America back to, I hope he brings clubs and caves and Phyllis’ funeral.

Thanks to Carl in Cheboygan for the heads up.

Would be better if it said “I look forward to being with HER tomorrow!”
Yes, Donnie, we wish you were going to wherever ole Phyllis has flown to on her broom!!

  2. Her family asked him to speak at her funeral? Really? So a eulogy that consists only of the words, “I . . . me . . . my.” That should be fascinating.

Want to bet he loses some votes among the immediate family?

  3. It’s the perfect move. Alienating more women and making his brand more valuable with his base at the same time. He knows he doesn’t really want the job. But he sure as hell wants to capitalize on the “rigged” system when he loses.

One can always make the case she was out of her mind/delirious etc.

BTW-Drumpf has a casino/hotel in Saint Louis. He can move the funeral to his casino and make a bundle of cash charging Schlafly’s relatives a cover charge.

    5
  6. What in the hell is HE going to say,
    “Ain’t God good?”

    6
  7. Well, doesn’t that just figure. Hateful birds of a feather flock together, apparently.

  8. Marcia in CO says:

Perhaps Donald will say something like this since God is only 2nd to him: Ain’t I good and then … well, you know … God!!!

  9. I approve of both their funerals. Hers now, and his as soon as it can happen.

    9
  10. Because nothing says traditional family values like having Donald Trump show up.

    10
  11. Poor Phyllis. She had dementia. What’s trump’s excuse for the way he acts/talks/foments hate/etc.? Early onset dementia?

I suggest we all collect Pspecimens, hire a ✈, and ….her cortège. Tell me if you’re in.

  13. I could only the hope that the roof would collapse and make things better for all of us. That sounds really awful and I do not make a habit of wishing death and destruction but with all of them gathered in one place, God could send a sign.

    13
  14. She deserves it. A most hate full speaker for a most hateful woman. This should be good.

    14
  15. It will be entertaining. It’s usually considered bad form to talk about one’s self at the funeral of another, but for Scumpf it’s The Only Form! Let the circus begin!

He doesn’t give a damn about PS. It’s a photo-op for the deplorables… a tweet opportunity to the rabid base. Next stop… a walk through of Lenin’s tomb. (And soon to be Trump’s Moscow Hotel and Casino.)

    16
  17. Well as reported on national news last night, she made an enormous mark on the repugnant party. Yes, one of the largest s**t stains.

    17
  18. I wonder if he thinks that Phyllis would have given his precious Ivanka a pass. Nope, she’d want her at home, barefoot & pregnant with the rest of the womenfolk.

I assume there will be media coverage. Why else would Trump take the time!

    18
  19. Wow. Trump will most likely – being Trump – follow in the incendiary footsteps of Ann Coulter and her really, really S.T.R.A.N.G.E. eulogy at her own mother’s funeral. Believe me, Karma knows where these useless wads live and will visit them when they least expect it. I say that in full faith that these wads never, ever expect anything less than living forever doing whatever they want at every opportunity. No such thing as consequences.

    19
  20. A eulogy that goes from “I” to “I” and finally ends with “I” doesn’t strike me as one which will offer much comfort to the grieving family. OTOH, who cares?

    20
  21. Micr, I’m pretty sure he will also include “me” and, especially, “mine.”

    21
  22. @LynnN
Thanks. We seem to agree on the depth of Hair Drumpf’s empathy.

Yeah! In all finality and statesman stuff like that!

There has to be a John and Marsha record out using the word God… just has to be!

    John: God
    Marsha:god
    John:God, God!
Marsha: god, god, god, god god,
    John: God. uh God.
    ad nauseaum

Drumpf doesn’t show respect to women, why would a dead one rate differently?

    24
  25. Will the funeral be televised? Please.

    Marcia in CO:
Too bad you are way down there in “Canon”. I’d like to get together so we could plot rigging the election in CO. Rocky Mountain High you all.

    25
  26. Has there been any word on who is sponsoring the wooden stake?

    26
  27. My favorite Southernism: Bless his heart.

  29. United in sticking it to the average American.

    29
  30. So, the old bag’s swan song was endorsing Donald? And he returns the favor by speaking at her funeral? You just can’t make this stuff up!
