16 men 0 women because they couldn’t find a woman more knowledgeable than Larry Kudlow when it came to epidemiology or crisis management.

Thanks to Deb T for the heads up.

  1. Larry ‘Never Been Right’ Kudlow and Mnuchin are there to exploit the financial opportunities that may arise in a timely fashion for the benefit of Donny and FoD.

  3. slipstream says:

Right. Don’t travel to Iran, Italy, or South Korea.

What about China? Did somebody forget China?

Also, no Americans should travel to Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Wisconsin, Indiana, or Massachusetts, because of known cases there.

But don’t worry: Pence had a very productive meeting.

And it was in the Situation Room, so that makes it special.

    Larry was sober?

  5. Mike Allen in Axios said Prissy Pussy Pency has been consulting with actual medical people alot. Not faith healers or “Christian counselors,” but bona fide people with expertise.

I’m so shocked my teeth fell out. Mother must have kicked him in the a$$ and told him to get this one right.

  6. megasoid says:

Well, just spitballin’ you understand… An 80 megaton thermonucular should kill all virus at each location. Otherwise, why were we doin’ all that practice bombing in the Ocala National Forest?

  7. RepubAnon says:

There are tree ferns with more knowledge about epidemiology (or economics) than Larry Kudlow.

Travel restrictions on Iran? That’ll affect maybe 10 people.

My guess is tax cuts for the rich are next. Possibly Trump-brand masks, too.

Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar’s interview today on “Face the Nation” was a masterpiece of bobbing, weaving, and saying nothing about anything he was asked. He either doesn’t know anything about anything, or he has been forbidden to speak any actual facts–or maybe both. It was an exercise in uselessness.

That photo looks a lot like the Republican sub committee on Women’s’ Health, all male.

  10. Jane & PKM says:

My son is taking part in a social experiment. He has to wear a Trump 2020 t-shirt for two weeks and see how people react. So far he’s been spit on, punched and had a bottle thrown at him!
I’m curious to see what happens when he goes outside.

  11. We did they have a meeting?
Didn’t their boss just say the whole COVID-19 thing is a hoax?

  12. Debbo @ 5,

Glad Momma gave Mike the Dense a swift kick for telling to us to pray it away. He’s sooo Dark Ages…

  13. Who are those people, anyway? Obviously Dr. Messonnier was not there (no women). I looked for and didn’t see Tony Fauci, who is one of the most obvious people who should be in the room. But I guess since he embarrassed poor Donny and made him look dumb, Tony is still persona non grata in the WH.
Of course while it is true that Tony makes most people look dumb, most people make Donny look dumb. Except possibly his nitwit offspring.

  14. Buttermilk Sky says:

Dr. Nancy Messonnier is director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. But Rush outed her as Rod Rosenstein’s sister, so she’ll probably be fired any minute. Loyalty TRUMPS expertise every time.

    14
  15. Jonathon P Hubbert says:

Why do we waste time discussing the dysfunctional asystemic behavior of this administration?

  16. Liberty Belle says:

Sixteen men, but they are Jesus men, so it’s okay.

  17. Old Fart says:

As a biological scientist, this whole process is consuming because… it just is.

As proponents of active, effective, government we can use preparedness, not panic, as example of why government is a good thing. As in maybe the campaigns putting together guidelines for preparedness, setting up infrastructure supporting tele-rallies (that could allow greater participation as well) and/or other steps to help people calm down and be involved. Mindless fear is how we got Boss Tweet, and being the antidote with reason and reassurance couldn’t hurt…
