Way To Go, Missouri!

Okay, so the Missouri senate wanted to meet to discuss a way to limit Covid.  It’s pretty important for the state.

The special session, called by Gov. Mike Parson, a Republican, originally focused on redirecting as much as $1.3 billion in federal stimulus funds. But last week, the governor expanded the scope to include legislation exempting businesses from COVID-19-related lawsuits.

They have federal Covid funds they haven’t used and the Governor says they need to spend that money by the end of the year.

But, they can’t have a meeting on Covid because they all have Covid.

Wanna know why the Republicans in the Missouri senate have Covid but the Democrats don’t?

Yep.  You guessed it.  They had a private Republican caucus a week ago.  We even have pictures to share.

Do you see a mask in any of those pictures?  You do not.  So, if they call a session, the Democrats can outvote them?  Awwww … I see now.

It’s a tad iconic when they also want to exempt businesses from Covid lawsuits.  Because, you know, Covid is unfairly fickle when it comes to spreading.  And, therefore, businesses who require their customers to wear masks should not be treated better than those who do not.
