13BTW, The pastoral picture of the Papalote, TX windfarm was taken exactly one year ago. It shows lush green vegetation as far as the eye can see.
Now, and for many months past, the whole of South Texas is brown and desiccated, in the grip of a very extreme drought. There has been very little rainfall since last Fall [I might have gotten 5-6″ since last August, almost a year ago, normal is 25-30″], and raging heat day after day, month after month [today was chilly, my high temperature was only 99.5degF, first day under 100something in many weeks].
And our local media ‘meteorologists’ will never ever mention ‘climate change’ or ‘global warming’.
They tap-dance all around it, forced to talk about dozens of heat and drought records getting set. But will never discuss the ultimate cause.
Petro dollars and ‘persuasion’ at work. This is perhaps the country’s premier fracking region of course, with huge amounts of waste greenhouse gas emissions part of the process.

15Sandridge, it’s more than annoying to hear the weather guys/gals rambling on about “gorgeous days” when what we need is a few days of steady rain. To be fair (if I must) the central part of CT isn’t in the same weird early June moderate drought as the rural east, and the central part is where their sponsors are.

It’s never ceased to amaze how brazen these people are. Number one, he knows he’s lying but let’s take garden variety morality/ethics out of the equation. Unless you got slobbery drunk by yourself then you know someone else knows. When you got drunk at a public place like the White House then what in the hell are you doing denying it? There have to be dozens of people that can confirm that. So this is the guy you went with on strategy?
