Trump Backs Out of Throwing First Pitch
File in “You Just Can’t Make This Up,” Trump backed out yesterday of throwing the first pitch at a Yankee game in New York on August 15th. Said Tweet:
What’s hilarious is that he made such Proclamation by Tweet yesterday after TWO DAYS of golf at his Bedminster golf course. So busy, so busy fighting the “China Virus” and meeting on “Vaccines”. The obvious real reason? He’s loathed in NY (and he has trouble handling a baseball with those tiny hands). I wonder if the Yanks were planning on piping in crowd boos when he took the field at the empty stadium? Trump has never thrown a first pitch as president.
Oh, and Biden? Here’s a good comparison of him to Trump’s athletic prowess:
Teeheeehee! He knew he would have to muster a better throw than Fauci, which – bad as Fauci’s was – was unlikely. Topps issued a special card in honor of Fauci’s pitch, it apparently sold out quick.
1Anonymous sources inside the White House report the real reason that Trump cannot throw out the first pitch—he has developed a severe twitter blister on his fingertips which will impact his ability to throw without severe pain and it not be healed in time before the game. You know, tweeting about China virus, law & order, and such.
2So many of Trump’s statements are intended to make the grass at his golf courses grow greener – consisting as they do of bovine or chicken-derived organic fertilizer.
3He probably got advance photos of the cardboard cutouts behind home plate and didn’t find enough friendly faces like Putin, Erdogan, Bolsanaro, and Modi.
4y, rs @1: sorry if this was widely reported but someone commented Dr Fauci’s pitch was part of his program where nobody catches anything.
5The worse his poll numbers get, the more he treats the US electorate like a glowering, angry father figure, working up to a furious whipping and punishment. What a small, tragic loony he is. I hope the prison he goes to has a good psychiatrist.
6I’m sure the booing he heard at the World Series last year had nothing to do with this decision. No, it’s the “China virus.” Also, do you know how steep the pitcher’s mound is? Almost as bad as that ramp at West Point.
At least traffic in New York won’t be tied up for six hours.
7He’s a golfer. When he saw the size of the balls in baseball, he became intimidated?
8I think he’s such a genius, he wasn’t sure which end of the ball to hold. He also knew he’d have to use both hands to throw it.
9Yet, his cult will believe him and thank for his dedication and sacrifice to their well being.
It would be priceless, though, to see his face if all the players took a knee while holding a black ribbon.
I guess 4+ hours on the golf course with Brett Favre on Sunday counts as focusing strongly on Covid-19, the economy and so much else! I wonder which issue Brett Favre claims expertise in because obviously they must have been consulting.
1045 should sample motor car racing because golf and baseball only require one ball.

13He’s also too busy to pay his respects to John Lewis. Trumpf is so thin skinned most of us see right through him. There’s nothing there.
14Word tonight is that he was never asked to do it. The announcement was a surprise to the White House staff and Yankees management.
15“strong focus”
trump thinks he has “strong focus”
Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
16I am beginning to get worried about this China virus.
Should i be taking extra precautions with the Royal Doulton?
17Brett Favre should be booed for associating with the trumpster! trumpster does not merit capitalization!
18I have read that Trump was never invited to throw out the first pitch, he invited himself. New York Times on July 27: The president’s announcement that he would pitch at Yankee Stadium on Aug. 15 startled the team’s officials, who had not scheduled such an event.
19Trump throwing the first pitch … 20 days into the 67 day season.
Trump inviting himself to throw the first pitch …
Trump backing out of the “commitment” to throw out the first pitch.
Not certain why throwing the first pitch in an empty stadium would be a big deal … I guess he’d be safe from fans booing.
And that all assumes there is still a baseball season.
