Louie! Dammit! You Just Crossed the Line.

July 26, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, Louie Gohmert’s opponent, Hank Gilbert – who is a great guy, held a rally today at the town square in  Tyler, Texas.

Louie Gohmert’s people held a counter- protest and would not allow Hank to speak.  To be honest, Hank is the first real candidate to run a real challenge against Gohmert.

Needless to say, a fight broke out and since Hank’s people weren’t carrying guns, they got the raw end of the deal.

Hank’s campaign manager was beaten while the thugs shouted Louie, Louie, Louie!  He’ll be fine but they stole his iPhone.

This is one of Hank’s supporters (in the blue shirt) being attacked. Look at the expression on the face of the Trump supporter.  That’s what Louie likes.

I’m sure more of the story will come out tomorrow.  Hank put his message on his Facebook page.

Guys, we are trying to get a thousand donations to Hank from across the country standing with him against Louie Gohmert and his thugs.  Please consider donating – even $5 – to Hank’s campaign.  I know him personally and he’d be a damn fine congressman.  It will ask you several times if you want to make it a monthly donation.  Just say nope. We need a one time fast response right now.

Be social and share!

Louie’s thugs stole the I-phone from Hank’s campaign manager; that’s an admission of guilt by any measure. Hopefully those same morons will soon learn that others also have them on tape. And, hopefully the campaign manager was sending his recording to a secure device in real time.

Chainsaws? Are the 2nd Amendment soapholes admitting they don’t have the necessary pair to carry?

  2. Karen in New Mexico says:

I hope Ryan files assault and robbery charges against the cowardly thugs. Look at how bug-eyed crazy the guy with the flag cap is. A fine example of American citizenship there. Louie’s thugs need to get a couple of guitars, go sing a few verses in someone’s garage and get it out of their system. JJ, is there any hope that Hank will be able to win this one?

  3. Grandma Ada says:

I would like to see Dem. protesters start their peaceful protests to coincide with his majesty’s fake press conferences. Peaceful protesters on TV being harried by these nimrods will help much more than these nighttime forays. Like Cong. Lewis said, start some good trouble, and I say plan ahead and be effective!

  4. Ormond Otvos says:

ACLU has such an app. Here in CA it’s called “CA Justice”
It records directly to the ACLU server here. There’s ones for Oregon and WashDC. Also try CopWatch.

  5. RepubAnon says:

And from the folks so worried about “cancel culture”? Crickets.

  6. Jane & PKM says:

Ormond Otvos @5. Thanks, man. Hope Hank Gilbert and his staff have their soap covered. Mine is good since before my last foray outside NV. Not joking considering should technology ‘fail’ due to assistance from the NSA and all who touch the corruption of Billy Bob Bar and the ***king moron* that maybe before leaving my porch for a better perch having our veterinarian install one better for my safety should I be separated from my cellphone.

    6
  7. Donation given.

Jane & PKM @1, they weren’t going for weaponry, just for noise, and chain saws are about as loud as you can get.

Remember HW Bush and his “thousand points of light”? His grave is a couple of miles from my house, and I bet he’s spinning in it.

  8. WA Skeptic says:

Somehow this doesn’t surprise me in the least; how unAmerican can you get???

Shame on Louie and his followers.

    8
  9. Jane & PKM says:

DJW as noisy as it is a chainsaw is a weapon. Peaceful protestors are being kidnapped while LE sit on their ‘glories.’ RW thugs show up with chainsaws and actual weapons as seen in MN rallies against the “tyranny” of wearing masks. Be real. If LE was reasonable showing up with chainsaws or any other weapon would lead to an arrest if the carrier were a person of color or a leftie.

  10. Yesterday, Louie reached across both time and space drawing a broken, fragmented line (with forks) between members of a party then called Democrats in the 1860’s, with the Democratic Party of 2020.

Today we have maskless mouth breathing thugs attacking, gripping people by the throat (see photo above) and I’m wondering if Louie has any idea who they’re directly connected with?

    10
  11. joel hanes says:

The cops stood and watched it happen, because the aggressors doing the assault were Blue Lives Matter guys.

    11
  12. I’m sorry. When I see that kind of anger directed at someone perceived as less-than, or just other, or weaker, I only think of baseball bats and blood. I really don’t imagine there’d be much remorse, except for not being there before the picture was taken.

    12
  13. Ellie from NY says:

I donated. Loony Louie is getting on my last nerve and I’m far, far away from TX. Hope Hank wins.

    13
  14. Thank you for the reminder to donate. I’d be interested in other recommendations as to where to best put my money.

    14
  15. Donation given!

    15
  16. Malarkey says:

Donation done. It’s the hate on the face of the thug that convinced me. Maybe enlightened folks can get this fellow the mental health care he so clearly needs.

    16
  17. Donation sent…with pleasure! This is outrageous, and Loony Louie needs to be “retired”.

Blue Lives Matter? Only until they don’t, like in Michigan with braindead thugs just like these.

    17
  18. thatotherjean says:

Donated. Hank Gilbert would be a vast improvement in Congress over Louie. I hope that Texas makes it happen.

    18
  19. Harry Eagar says:

I’d like to know more about why you think Hank is a genuine contender. My sister-in-law used to live in Center and I find that difficult to believe.

    19
  20. fenway fran says:

Done!!!! I hope Hank sends Crazy Louie packing.

    20
  21. Juanita Jean Herownself says:

Hank has deep roots in the community and a strong force on the college campuses. Louie has never had a serious contender before and his race was always under-voted. Plus, you never know when Louie is going to go stark raving mad give up on this Jesus thing and run around the town square buck naked screaming about asperagus.

But, you know, Harry, even if Hank wasn’t a great guy with an outstanding reputation, isn’t it worth buying 2 yard signs for him just to piss off Louie’s people? Hell, Harry, I’d give Hank $20 just for having the courage to do this. Keep hope alive, Dude.

    21
  22. Texas Expat in CA says:

Donation to Hank done, from CA. It’d be worth a LOT just not to have Louie’s stupid face and bleating voice in the news ever again!

    22
  23. Brad in Dallas says:

Gohmert won his last election by a large margin. His district is almost 100% rural and small town, with Tyler at 100,000 the only, slight exception. Not wishing the Dem candidate ill in any way, but just by socioeconomics and demography this district will be red for another 50 years at least.

    23
  24. The Surly Professor says:

djw @ 7: the noise-making reminds me of the old photo from Kennedy and Johnson campaigning in Abilene:

    https://i.pinimg.com/736x/f5/2d/e3/f52de35d5082e5165e02751f78a8aac1.jpg

The pilots who owned planes went to the airport and revved their engines to drown out their stump speech. An amusing story I heard from a doctor who performed a lot of FAA pilot health certifications exams back then: apparently several of those pilots failed their exam and lost their licenses starting in 1964. The rumor was their plane numbers were recorded by someone in that photo, and when Johnson became president it was pay-back time. Who made the notes? Hint: she’s the only person who is smiling and talking in the picture.

In any case, the noise-makers don’t always win, so let’s not count Hank out yet.

    24
  25. Juanita Jean Herownself says:

Yeah, and they said Tom DeLay would never get beat, and then he dropped out of the race at the last minute to avoid going down with Jack Abramoff. Democrat Nick Lampson won, stunning everyone. Look, by donating I’m asking you to buy a lottery ticket. The winning ticket get American back.

    25
  26. Old Fart says:

    @The Surly Professor, #24:
Thank you for a fascinating picture of LBJ & JFK I’ve never seen before. Everything else aside, it’s very dramatic.

Speaking of dramatic: There are people who have used the kinds of technology to enhance the WWI films to do so for Apollo moon mission video. The first step video is astounding; it’s so good you can see Aldrin moving in the LEM, reflected in the window the video is shot through^. In addition, there are other videos from later missions (like rover video)
    that is also astounding^^.

  27. Donated.
Has Hank talked to @DemocratWit at #PostcardstoVoters? He’d be fun to write for.

    27
  28. happy to kick in a few bucks to anybody fighting Louie.

    28
  29. Harry Eagar says:

I don’t mind contributing to viable candidates but I have a long list of possibles and want to give to candidates making a race.

I am with Brad in Dallas except that, formally at least, the 1st District is not rural. I cannot see any Republican losing there. Like I say, I know Center a little. Nice people but I wouldn’t put the best I ever met in charge of a hot dog stand.

That was Wright Patman’s district once upon a time. Texas is proving that time’s arrow does not flow in one direction only.

    29
  30. Done. With what turned out to be a surprisingly larger tip to Act Blue (mis-typing the amount) but what the heck, they make it easy.

Will be making a donation for two distinct reasons:
    1. Ex-wife lives in Smith county and worships the ground Louie walks on.

    2. See #1.

  32. Joy Lowell says:

This Floridian just donated to Hank Gilbert’s campaign. Happy to do it.

    32
  33. Halster says:

The cops stood there and did nothing while wondering why people are fed up with them. I don’t like stereotyping but I’ve learned to hate Republicans.

    33
  34. Done. My mother was born in Texas. I’m glad to help.

    Synopsis
One ex purchased a cheap car, registered it in the other ex’s name. Parked it at O’Hare short term parking. 678 parking tickets later, the tab amounted to $105k.

  36. Just gave him $25 after reading this, and made a note to give him more over the next three months. I won’t say how I feel about looney louie because I know there’s no cursing allowed in the salon.

    36
  37. Chloe Bear says:

Just donated. Louie and his trained thugs need to be replaced.

  38. Litlhorn says:

DId my bit from New York to get Goober Gomert outa my District of Origin. Gotta say, Reading the comments, this whole, “only put my money where we know we can win,” has contributed more to the disaster this country is in than just about anything…. I know for certain, their are a lot of closeted Dems in them Deep east Texas Piney woods, Hell, when I was growing up, SFA was a very Libera,l Liberal Arts school, just full of creative, artistic Hippies, and most of ’em dissapeared into those woods, y’all just need to go shake those trees and get em to vote. I’ve done my part with my wallet and on my FB page, now y’all do yours!
