Tick, Tick, Tick

December 30, 2018 By: El Jefe Category: Border Catastrophe, Shutdown, Trump

The New York Daily News is reporting that a New Jersey attorney representing undocumented former employees at Trump’s National Golf Club in Bedminster turned over to Robert Mueller fake green cards and social security numbers given to them by managers at the club.  The fake credentials were used to make the employees appear to be legal to work in the US.

While Trump has the government shut down over his idiotic wall, his own criminality continues to come to light as the clock relentlessly ticks.

  1. As if Bedminster would be any different than all the other projects run by that crime family. Newsflash to the New York Daily News, that isn’t news. With the exception of some of the more recent and classified information about Russian collusion, there is nothing that wasn’t known about Donnie 2 years ago, ten years ago and going back decades. Maybe now that Mika and Joe have come to the side of the truth about Donnie, maybe other media outlets will finally gather & release the facts in a way that even the most stubborn st00pid obtuse MAGAts will “see” their naked emperor.

Hell, if Mueller won’t give us the Steele dossiers maybe he’ll release the David Pecker vaults of suppressed Donnie bits. For those who thought the Starr report was too ripe for my young eyes, I’m a big boy now … Mom .. Dad …. Discussing either the Steele dossier or the Pecker vault is likely to be a real challenge to keep the conversation socially acceptable.

  2. Have been following the news on the employees not only at the golf clubs but elsewhere such as at the Virginia winery. The vast majority of peon jobs at these places are held by people from off shore allegedly all legal with visas and such. Never trusted that for a moment! tRump would occasionally whine about the inability to get enough H-2A people to work the vineyards in Virginia. The vineyard for example was always johnny on the spot to get H-2A people every time the new visa season opened each year. And he complained about the all the paperwork, the time expended and how slow the process was for vetting H-2A workers and shipping them in. And he would profess publicly that they were all legal. Well, any time a little tot has to wait more than a few second to get something, the inevitable will happen. Legality flies out the window and ICE shows up to do their job which means the tot in the WH screams even more about the pathetic immigration laws created by Democrats. He wants it both ways and all ways. Hope this mess makes the front page of every small town newspaper in the rural areas where these H-2A workers are most likely found. Rural areas are scarce on native population to begin with hence the need to ship in all the possible labor anyone can get. As for the household workers at the golf clubs and the vineyard workers I would bet they were never hassled by ICE like other real H-2A workers whenever they left the farm to visit a doctor, a dentist or whatever. Can’t wait to find out about the house staff at the tRump hotel in D.C.!

  3. Donny likes the way he can . save a few bucks by calling ICE to visit on the last payday after the harvest is in… old farm labor contractor trick.

  4. Question: If “the boss” kept the fake documents (as stated in the 18th paragraph), how were the undocumented employees able to give them to their attorney (as stated in the 2nd paragraph)? The Daily Snooze is a bit short on details — or maybe editors — methinks.

  5. WaPo certainly states the facts a lot more clearly, doesn’t it? Thanks for sending the alternate source, El Jefe. You’re a dear.

  6. Jane & PKM says:

El Jefe, my apologies. Did not mean to even inadvertently imply there was anything wrong with your source. Just my general beef with the media. Imagine had Joe & Mika actually asked serious questions of Donnie instead of giving him a free ride. Won’t even start on old Maggie “random truthiness” Haberman over at the NYT. 700+ days of the ***king moron, so patience with some in the media owned by six corporations is frazzled.

  7. I’m shocked. Shocked I tell you.

  8. As some one pointed out this morning the fact that the FBI and not ICE is conducting this investigation is telling.
Telling what I am unsure of but in normal times this would fall solidly inside ICE’s bailiwick.
Possible concerns about the legitimacy and ethical standards of the ICE apparatus?
    I know I have them.

  9. I am for giving those people who were used by the Trump people amnesty and deporting Trump and his family and cabinet.

    10
  10. @AliceBeth, “deporting Trump and his family and cabinet” — Who’d have them?

    11
  11. Miz Lindsay’s tail is in the ringer.
“Here are the results of our investigation in to Senator Lindsey Graham. Our report contains evidence Graham took Russia-linked money, and got deeply involved with a CEO who’s serving 7 years for campaign finance and embezzlement charges.” Click below. https://t.co/WQ6Z1xb1jZ

Prison won’t be a fun place. Tsk, tsk.

El Jefe: this was also in The Hill, which I usually trust except when it’s obvious that the interns were running the store.

  13. We already know that about 35% of the voting population (and all the republicans in Congress) will accept any despicable behavior from their president without batting an eye. The only thing that can stop this idiocracy is indictments and an honest judicial branch.

    14
  14. @Debbo–Thanks for the link. It explains some of Graham’s behavior.

    15
  15. Fleeting Expletive says:

Debbo, If I may? What is that “t.co” link to? I’d rather not follow a blind link anyway, but if it’s to NYT or WaPo, well, I only have 2 more free articles. The information sounds important. Thanks.

  16. Not surprising at all. He staffs Marred-a-Lego with non-US citizens. Won’t hire Americans.

It’s exhausting keeping up with all these scandals.
