This Is What I’m Coming To

September 30, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I’m a mess, y’all.

Here I am this morning hoping that Anthony Scaramucci knows what he’s talking about. Can you even imagine that thought entering my mind?

This has really made me that pathetic.

Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up and the easy attempt to make me crazy.

  1. Scaramucci has gone completely anti-Spankee. And a lot of what he’s saying (e.g., “in the end Spankee will turn on everyone”) make a (scarily) surprising amount of sense.

That being said, you don’t have to be a genius to figure that a lot of folks who were afraid to speak are now emboldened. There’s blood in the water. Expect a lot of whistleblowers to come out of the woodwork.

I’ve been deeply pessimistic that Americans would truly rise up from their easy chairs and drive the oligarchs out. But an uprising of career government employees willing to risk career suicide to expose this boil on the butt of our nation is the most hopeful thing I’ve seen in decades.

  3. The Mooch as prophet. What next? Messy Drumpf as the virgin Mary…

  4. Lordy, that’s the first I’ve heard of this. Can he know anything? Does he know anything? Is Bolton so pissed off that he’ll turn state’s evidence??

I’ve ad my hopes raised so many times before…dare I let myself get happy??

  5. Dems show as much chutzpah as Goops in suppressing information on corruption.

    Genda, genda, who has Agendas?

The Other Whistleblower: It’s Time Neal And DeFazio Jump On The Trump Impeachment Train

Rep. Richard Neal, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, has been sitting on a complaint from an IRS whistleblower who might have evidence of Donald Trump attempting to corrupt an audit of his personal tax returns. Neal has used the whistleblower’s complaint, reportedly, in the committee’s suit against the Trump administration for its refusal to provide copies of Trump’s tax returns.

Neal has been frustrating many of his colleagues (and everyone else resisting Trump) for his extreme slow-walking of getting Trump’s taxes and in general of pushing the issue of Trump’s financial corruption.

Ditto Rep. Peter DeFazio, who’s chairman of Transportation and Infrastructure, the committee that oversees Trump’s D.C. hotel. The Washington Post’s David Fahrenthold explained to NPR’s Terry Gross that “Trump’s D.C. hotel is located in a taxpayer-owned building under a lease from the GSA, the General Services Administration.” Which means DeFazio could be digging into Trump’s use of the hotel—the taxpayer-owned property—to make personal money off of foreign dignitaries and others, known in the Constitution as emoluments and a no-no for presidents.

DeFazio “has the power to really dig into it,” Fahrenthold says, but he’s not doing it. The “pushback from DeFazio’s underlings, other members of Congress,” Fahrenthold has been told, “has been that DeFazio is slow-walking this because he wants to make an infrastructure deal.”

  6. We do not need Scaramucci to tell us there are more whistleblowers. It was pretty clear from the beginning that Democrats have found their,” Monica Zelenskiy!”:)
