The Texas Four
Okay, it’s getting time to get in gear.
The National Republican Congressional Committee has named eight GOP incumbents they feel are in danger of being defeated. They formed a group called – oh, surprise, surprise – the Patriot Program. The purpose of the group is to fundraise to help this group.
Of the 8, four are from Texas.
Y’all, I’m serious about Texas flipping this election. I told you that we were going to flip my county in ’18 and we did, thanks in no small part to your donations. That was the largest crack in the Texas GOP stranglehold.
So, they are worried. Here’s the Republicans in trouble according to their own party. I think it’s real sweet of the GOP to let us know where their weakest links are.
Rep. Will Hurd (R-TX)
Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA)
Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI)
Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE)
Rep. John Katko (R-NY)
Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX)
Rep. Pete Olson (R-TX)
Rep John Carter (R-TX)
Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA)
Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY).
Pete Olson is my personal congressvarmint. That boy is going down this time and we have just the man to do it. (Large parts of the website are down for revisions before the primary.)
Obviously, we need to take more than these 8 seats but these guys are low hanging fruit.
Thanks to SGray for the heads up.
Lots of Teapublicans and out and out crooks there. By the way, where the hell is PN? TX, MI, WA I get, but PN?
1We got rid of John Culberson in 2018 and Lizzie Fletcher has been a breath of fresh air.
2Charles, that’s my typo. It’s PA. I’ll go fix it.
3Might as well bring Mike McCaul home, and let him count his wife’s family money, full-time.
4Why isn’t Louie the Idiot on that list? What’s wrong with those folks in East Texas?????
5YEEEE-HAAWWW!!
Head ‘em up and move ‘em out!!
6What is the limit per individual per year for donations?
7Linda, it’s $2,700 per election, not yearly. That means $2,700 for the primary, $2,700 for any primary run-off, and $2,700 for the general election. That’s about $8 grand total.
8Question is will thuglicrat Cuellar endorse your candinate or fundraise for olson like he did for the thuglican that MJ was challengeing last time.
9I think Crenshaw should be on this list. He has certainly gone out of his way to be a blathering fool – fits right in with Republican ideology.
10Yeah, well —– these are all representatives. Don’t forget the senators.
Last year, Steve Kornacki told us that the numbers were great for Democrats in the House but bad in the Senate. The good news, though, was that 2020 was going to be chock-a-block-full of vulnerable Senators.
So, as I see it, we need to do two things: 1] hang onto the House [increase the margin if possible of course but, at minimum, stick to our status quo] and 2] sweep out all those vulnerable Senators.
Then, if Trump manages to hang on by his fingernails, we have more options, come January 2021.
All this, of course, is assuming Trump doesn’t blow up the planet in a preemptive strike before November of next year. Let’s face it, that is not outside the realm of possibility given who and what he is.
11We also need to get rid of Cornyn. He has been a p**s poor senator the whole time he’s been in the Senate. Has he ever done anything for Texas while he’s been in office?
12I’m with BarbinDC. You say “stupidest man in Congress” just about anywhere in the country where they pay attention to such things and the answer will come back, “Oh, Louie Gohmert.” I’ve seen it. But the [redacted] keeps getting re-elected. Are there no other choices in East Texas? Really?
13I hope Dems from all over request Postcards to Voters. It’s about all of us in blue, blue states can do- besides send money, but that’s pretty limited around this household.
14Happy to see my Congresswoman JHB on The List. Our most excellent D candidate Carolyn Long came a little too close for comfort in 2018. I hope she runs again.
15I’d love to get McCaul out–and my new idiot Congresscritter too, Chip Roy. I was heartbroken when Joseph Kopser lost.
16How is Duncan Hunter (R – Indictment Town) not on this list?
