The New Kayne

Retired Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré is not happy with President Trump.

Retired Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré, who commanded the military response to Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, slammed President Trump’s response to hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico, telling CNN “he doesn’t give a damn about poor people, doesn’t give a damn about people of color.”

Yeah, there’s a video of it.

I guess the General isn’t afraid of being Tweet-Slapped.

There’s a certain freedom in being retired. Cheers to the General for speaking some much needed truth to power.

A high five to you Lt. Gen. Honoré for saying what the vast majority of Americans know about traitor trump! Frankly, I doubt if tweety trumpers has the balls to try to slap down a three star general. If he does, oh well, I’ll get out the popcorn and enjoy Lt Gen Honoré’s response. Traitor trump relaxes and plays golf in a posh resort while the AMERICAN people in Puerto Rico die from lack of clean water, food, shelter. I only hope traitor trump’s sycophants know that he will do the exact same thing to them. Unless you’re a rich, fat, old white man traitor trump couldn’t care less if you live or die.

  3. Ret Lt Gen Honore on Trump tweets: “I have no reaction. The mayor’s living on a cot, and I hope the President has a good day of golf.”

You know you are in trouble when the guy who had to clean up the Katrina mess thinks the current President is an incompetent who hates a group of his own people. The saddest part, this isn’t Trump’s Katrina moment but it certainly is Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

This general was amazingly competent when called in to take over the Katrina mess. As Irma was ginning up I was wondering when Trump would ask Honore to sign on. He didn’t ask. What a shame.

After the insults Trump has tossed at previous presidents playing golf, what’s he doing during a huge national crisis? He’s playing golf. People are dying and he thinks it’s about him. He is totally devoid of empathy. Sad.

  5. God bless General Honore. This man is honored and respected for all his hard on the scene work. It didn’t stop after Katrina. If you recall, there was another storm that came along very shortly after and hit the southwest part of Louisiana. This man got on a horse and did his job. Cannot see tRump doing that at all, even if offered a Budweiser Clydesdale to ride. Honore is a brave man. Will leave it to y’all as to how tRump stands.

But, but, but … didn’t Donnie promise he knew more than all the generals. Never mind. That was his plan for defeating ISIL. Y’all are talking natural disasters.

    General Honoré +1
    General Buchanan +1
    General Silveria +1

    Donnie +18.
OOPS sorry. That was his was his caddy adjusted score (read cheat) on the back nine at Trump National Golf Club, Bedminster this busy weekend in his schedule.

    Donnie 0

If, and for the sake of Puerto Rico, I hope he and Messy don’t descend on the island, but if they do insist on imposing the additional burden of their presence, there are a few things they could do to help. Messy could bring a big check from her unearned gains from her lawsuit. All of it would be a good start, since it was unearned. Likewise Donnie could tabulate what he, his brats and maladministration have cost taxpayers and present a check, too. I’d state from his personal account, but does he have one? All signs are that he spends other peoples’ money with no direct or indirect evidence to his purported ‘wealth.’

  7. This is a PBS documentary about Puerto Rico that I just finished watching. It’s not new, but how our government treats this island hasn’t changed. It only keeps getting worse, and Trump is the worst of all.

  8. So I’ll go ahead and be the party pooper here and point out it should be spelled “Kanye.” When I saw “Kayne,” I thought the post might be about Tim Kaine and I don’t think we need a new one of him. More men along the lines of General Honoré would be terrific though.

    More sads for Donnie:

Robert Reich explains why Dolt45 is irrelevant: https://www.rawstory.com/2017/10/the-growing-irrelevance-of-president-donald-trump/

Andrew Levine reveals the tyranny of “the deplorables.” https://www.counterpunch.org/2017/09/29/the-tyranny-of-the-deplorable-minority/

While we all knew for months that the wannabee ’emporer’ had no clothes, it seems now that the short fingered vulgarian doesn’t even own his own golf pants.

Please for the love of dog, Special Counsel Mueller, if you can, when the Feebs drag Donnie out of our house in cuffs, please have someone throw a blanket over him.

  12. Gen. Honoré “tells it like it is,” as idiots think Donnie does. The shipping industry bigshots’ bank accounts come before Puerto Ricans’ lives. Since the rule was eased for Texas and Florida, and PR is even more ship-dependent, what else is it but racism?

By the way, it’s even worse that the Puerto Ricans and Virgin Islanders are American citizens, but the American government’s inaction would still be disgusting if they weren’t. We had a much bigger reaction to Haiti after the earthquake than PR is getting now.

(Apologies if “PR” is considered insulting; I don’t know. Some people get all red and their wattles swell up if you refer to Prince Georges County MD as “PG,” but I’ve lived here since 1982 and I don’t care.)
