  1. Happy Independence Day everybody.
The tank with the flacid gun tube is perfect for what passes for strength and patriotism in today’s repugnantcan party.

  2. If the illustrator had drawn a helmet on Rump, he could be the ghost of Michael Dukakis, only more menacing.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Rump shows up for the 4th dressed in a military style suit with epaulets and chicken guts (all those gold braid thingies) hanging from a shoulder.

  3. Grandma Ada says:

I agree with PP – thankfully the Boston Pops will be on the Bloomberg channel so I can listen to patriotic music in peace!

  4. If scientists invent a time machine I don’t think “Kill Hitler” would be at the top of the list anymore. It would be “Send Trump to Vietnam for Assignment With a Tank Crew.” That would have cured his phony obsession early, a bizarre compulsion based on deferments and bone spurs.

  5. Raining in DC ( not yet to mall) heat index at 99 F, flash flood warnings etc.
So now we know what the mythical magic man in the sky thinks of demented donnies widdle parade.

  6. I confess, I’m saving these to share with a few friends who aren’t on the internet. And I’m emailing them to the 2 trump fans that I know. Hard to believe that I know people that still support the orange gibbon!

    Happy 4th to all!

    BWAHAhaha:
Hope the SOBOTUS enjoys what Momma Nature thinks of his ‘4th of You Lie mofo’ day.
Hot and steamy weather for DC, with 70% chance of rain and thunderstorms and various warnings/watches in effect.
The radar link below will let you watch the area storms in progress [I some some better HD radar links but they need some input].

    Extended Forecast for
    Washington DC:
    Hazardous Weather Conditions
    Hazardous Weather Outlook
Flash Flood Watch in effect from July 4, 01:00 PM EDT until July 4, 08:00 PM EDT
    Special Weather Statement

    “Independence Day
Showers and thunderstorms likely. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 90. Southeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
    Tonight
Showers and thunderstorms likely before 5am, then isolated showers. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. Southeast wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.”

“Besides the persistent threat of lightning with thunderstorms, the highest threat of the day will be flash flooding. Precipitable water values are near or above 2 inches, and storm motions will likely be less than 10 mph. Currently have Flash Flood Watches in effect where flash flood guidance is lower, and it will take less rain to produce flash flooding. Mid level lapse rates are weak and shear is almost non-existent, but due to the abundant instability, a few pulse severe storms producing localized damaging winds aren`t out of the question. Heat indices are peaking in the 100-105 range in some areas, but the highest values are mostly confined near the Bay where dew points are higher. Storms and outflow will likely mean any heat indices above advisory criteria should be short lived.”

News is coming of a 6.4 earthquake in Kern County, California, with multiple aftershocks. Obviously a plot to distract attention from the greatest Depends Day celebration of all time. Very unfair!!!
