That’s Going to Leave a Mark…
Yesterday, the DOJ ruled that Alabama representative Mo Brooks, whose fiery rhetoric at the Trump rally that incited the attack contributed to the insurrection, is NOT immune from lawsuits for that rhetoric. Brooks had argued that his rhetoric, which amplified The Big Lie spread by Trump, was part of his duty as a US Representative; the DOJ said no, this was campaign activity and not protected. US Representative Eric Swalwell has sued Brooks and others accusing them of incitement to stop the Electoral College certification on January 6th.
Boom.
Its about time! Of course, his teeny little brain will not be able to absorb that. Get ready for the usual histrionic infantile response. Now that he is open and clear bait for lawsuits, this just may scare him enough that retirement looks pretty damn good!
1I hope there are multiple lawsuits for every one of those sumbitches who spoke warrior-like words to that crowd.
Hitting them in lawsuits may just have to be the tool since shame and appeals to decency are long past dead in this group.
Thanks DOJ.
2Any word on what happened with that trespassing lawsuit that resulted from Brook’s wife being served?
3If words mattered (as they did once upon a time) Mo Brooks and most of the Quack-a-Non Caucus would never be elected. Evuh.
Bets on who arranged to have the alarms disconnected in a couple of Congressional offices? That is the surveillance video needed to convict members of the House. Could any of them managed without assistance so as not to spark a fire or electrocute themselves?
4The really sad part is that he will probably win the election to replace Richard Shelby.
5When a court compels his presence he better not try to hide out like he did when Swallwell’s process server was trying to find him!
6All you history buffs can probably remember when so many dangerous lunatics from the repugnantican party roamed the earth and were in the news on the same day. Kind of tired of reading about the likes of mo brooks, goober gohmerts, matt gaetz, mt. Greene, paul gosar, andy biggs, lauren boobert, jim jordan, chip Roy. Did I forget anyone? Oh ya, trumpf and mike lindell. Oh and kevin mcCarthy. I think these are unparalleled times but someone will probably correct me.
7Yeah. Somehow, arguing that his professional duties include attempting to overthrow the Constitution was bound to fall flat.
8Typical NSGOP. Thinks he’s above the law…
