Indicted Paxton Lands Trump Endorsement

July 27, 2021 By: El Jefe Category: The Big Lie, Trump

Not surprisingly, Trump has endorsed criminally indicted and federally investigated Ken Paxton for yet another term as Texas AG.  The irony is so thick that you can cut it with a knife.  Paxton belongs in the top law enforcement spot as much as beans belongs in Texas chili.  Uh, uh.  He has so far avoided trial on his original securities fraud charges for over 5 years and is now under federal investigation after his staff blew the whistle on him for everything from bribery to garden variety corruption.  With all of his troubles, it’s not surprising that he’s being primaried for the 2022 election.  What’s surprising is that George P. Bush, hoping he saw a weak target, threw his hat in the ring to do that.  Worse, he also decided it was a really good idea to humiliate himself and embarrass his own family by publicly kissing Trump’s ass to do it to earn the MAGA vote.

Well, that didn’t work.  Yesterday, staying completely in character, Trump endorsed Paxton probably because of his criminal indictments and his embarrassing performance in , rather than P, who’s just an opportunistic lightweight.  And according to a Trump confidante, Trump reveled in P’s ass kissing, saying,

“…George P. has played this exactly right, and he’s definitely more conservative than his dad, and Trump knows that,” said one Trump confidante who discussed the race with him recently. “But I can tell you the president enjoys the prospect of knowing how much it kills Jeb that his son has to bend the knee and kiss the ring. Who’s your daddy? Trump loves that.”

I’ve always thought that P was a lightweight and a cynical partisan taking advantage of Daddy’s last name. But I never thought he was just a dumbass, but a dumbass he most certainly is.  Not only has he humiliated himself, he actually allowed Trump to weaponize his weakness and stupidity to hurt himself, his father, uncle, and grandfather.  Hopefully the electorate will see these facts and send him packing back to Florida or wherever.  He definitely has no business holding any elected office, especially in Texas.

  1. Normally one would think Tr*mp would say “He likes AGs that haven’t been indicted”, but when endorsing another grifter, that would be too much to expect.

I can’t think of any GOP office holder in Texas that doesn’t embarrass me. We now have seen the reports of potential bribery in our Texas SCOTUS – is there an independent judiciary in Texas? Paxton needs to go to jail, Twig (aka P) needs to go to Florida, Abbott, Patrick and the rest need to go to . . . you fill in the blank.

I don’t think an honest person would associate with any of the Trumps.

Paxton got the nod because he has, does, and probably will use his heft as Texas AG to file stupid lawsuits supporting Trump policies/initiatives in some cases, or Trump-style Republican causes in others.

Everyone who knows Trump says he thinks transactionally – this is a thank you and a “hope you’re still around when I’m put back into office or elected in 2024” (neither of which will happen)

If George P is a lightweight partisan opportunist, what does that make Paxton?

So, is Ken Paxton ever going to be tried for anything, or is he just going to stay indicted forever? And yeah, George P is every bit the idiot he looks like. He insulted his own family by kissing the Former Guy’s rear end, a man they rightly loathe–only to be ignored in favor of an out-and-out crook, Ken Paxton.

From Yahoo News and Rolling Stone
A short news piece caught my eye: Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz Get Heckled off the Stage While Defending Capitol Rioters

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has made a career out of publicly harassing her imagined enemies. She got a dose of her own medicine on Tuesday when her joint press conference with Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), and Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) was broken up by protesters, one of which was armed with a very loud, very shrill whistle.

Talk about a senseless waste if human life: MTG, Gaetz, Gohmert, and Gosar!

Mike Walsh- love it! Wish I could have helped heckle them. These 4 are the despicables, but there’s many more where they came from.

As for Paxton, like trumpf and gaetz, I’d be dead if I held my breath till they’re indicted. I think it’s wishful thinking that they’ll ever be prosecuted, but I keep hoping. There isn’t an innocent bone in their bodies.

  12. Well, Ken DID give him a HUGE commission .
