Thanks, Obama
Texas Senator Ted Cruz announced yesterday that he didn’t have health insurance because of Obamacare.
A day after, his campaign admitted that Cruz did indeed have health insurance. He as just shifted from a PPO to an HMO. An HMO is, in fact, insurance.
He just got confused. Because, you know, stuff is confusing.
Obama invented confusion.
Same lie, different year. Daffy floated this same whopper after he had to give up riding Heidi’s Cadillac plan last year. The snacilbupeR rely of dim witted voters who remember nothing.
1Cruz did not invent stupidity.
He just exemplifies it.
2Ted may be confused about whether or not he has health insurance.
There are hundreds of thousands in Texas who are definitely not confused. They know they don’t have health insurance because the state refused funds for Medicaid. Thanks Cruz and Abbott for providing the poor with a clarity that even Ted Cruz does not have. If they had a choice though, I think they’d prefer medical care.

Um, Ted Cruz is an idiot.
But we already knew that.
4Aw, hells bells and all that smells! I don’t know anyone who believed the Cruz-er when he whined about not having health insurance. That damn stuff comes with his damn job! Did I say damn enough?
5And he thinks he’s competent to be president?
6Maggie he turned down his gold-plated Congressvarmit health insurance because he could get his wife’s solid platinum insurance until he got caught in that lie too.
7Larry, I heard she lost that insurance when she went on Leave Of Absence to work on his campaign. That sounds very strange to me. It was only LOA, not a resignation. But thats lying Cruzer for ya.
8Here is the total scoop on Mr. Cruz’s lie of the century–it is his own stupidity that brings him to where he is today with regard to his own health insurance–

Why is he not called out for his lies on the national media stage? Why would any believe that a man who only can read Green Eggs and Ham would be able to manage such an important position –his own laziness and or lack of understanding about health insurance caused him to not sign up for the PPO plan after being warned of the change by Blue Cross in July of 2015?? He still has insurance, just not what he wants–This man, my supposed Senator, never even responds to my concerns as one of his constituents—I only get we will get back with you–Of course, he never does–too busy flitting around the country for op-eds with the likes of Kim Davis and every other extremist in the country to take care of his own health insurance–BEWARE, you robotic voters!!! You get what you vote for–Please vote responsibly and just say no!!
9Linda Lester, I don’t think Cruz is stupid. A slick, power-hungry, unprincipled, lying attention-whore who doesn’t give a damn about you, yes, but not stupid.
One problem is that virtually nobody who really deserves to be president is willing to put themselves and their families through the years-long, money-grubbing, lying, distorting, groveling, kick-me farce that is the American presidential campaign.
10So Cruz is a sucker for punishment? Hmm. I remember studying about that in my grad psych program. Not good!!!
11And this guy thinks he can run the country?
Into the ground, I guess.
12Linda Lester: I agree with you… but one small point. The voters can’t make good decisions because we have a media which refuses to challenge and inform. But… to make matters worse, we have a DNC which characterized his statement as a “misleading ObamaCare sob story”. Excuse me? Misleading? If they can’t call a lie a lie then we are truly doomed.
13The next snacilbupeR debate should be fun; maybe even worth watching. Nah. We’ll catch the low lights on replay.
Will Marco attempt to tie Ted up in knots over his health care lies? Will Ted be prepared for an all out Birther attack from Donnie, only to be ambushed by Donnie armed with the Dominionist screed to thump the life out of Ted? How many imaginary doors will Jeb(?) run his face into to prove he’s tough? And, whatever will Gov Cartman and remodeled now ‘moderate’ Kasich do to cry for attention? Will the kids’ table finally fold?
14Why did Cruz get off Heidi’s platinum health plan? Is there some doubt at the Octopus about his political future and therefore fvT, (future value of Tex), to Goldman Sachs?
15J7915, tough questions. Ted Cruz has hypocrisy as one of his better character traits, so it’s doubtful he’d think it was hypocritical to slam Obamacare while his family enjoyed the platinum coverage. Would it be because he feared FEC regulations? Nah. Teddy flouts regulations.
My guess there is something in SEC regulations that gave pause to both Heidi and Goldman Sachs.
As for fvT to Goldman Sachs, maybe his Dominionism and squirrel endorsements scared the Jewish and Episcopalian members of their board.
16You know, I kinda feel sorty for Teddy, but only for a minute. (Read NYT Op/Ed by Gail Collins.) Campaigning must be as bad as being on TV all the time. Imagine having to keep all the facts straight and spout them in convincing ways with all the latest versions of them and good paying sponsors. Shoot, maybe we oughta give him TWO minutes.
17@Marge Wood
You’d think his campaign would have someone keep up with what he owes who at each campaign stop. Kinda like film shoots have an accountant to keep up with product endorsements.
18Marge Wood, Ted Cruz can find his “sympathy” in the dictionary. The location of which out of deference to Mama won’t be specified. I have a soft spot in my heart for Louie the Louse compared to anything the Cr-Oozer would inspire.
19I have to agree with Rhea. He’s not stupid and knows exactly what he is doing. Lies don’t matter if they fit the narrative that you want to sell to the low information base. The Nation has a good article on Cruz that is worth a read on this very subject:

Well, Obamacare hasn’t cured Cruz of lying his head off.
Thanks, Obama.

I know someone who really deserves to be president, and he isn’t money grubbing, lying, distorting, groveling, or any of those things. Would you like to take a guess?
22Oops.
