Texas Wins Dirtiest Attorney General
I think all of you know that the Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton, is a damn crook. He was indicted for felony securities fraud in 2015 and still hasn’t gone to trial. The man even got his Super DeLux Brand Christian wife elected to the state legislature to change the law he violated. Even the other Republicans in the lege, who all are lower than a snake’s belly in a wagon wheel rut, couldn’t swallow that one.
Now we’re adding more crimes and the FBI is involved. I’m here to tell you that this one is gonna stick. Wanna know why? Simple. There’s sex involved.
Seven top members of Paxton’s staff at the AG’s office all resigned and accused Paxton of bribery, abuse of office, and holy cow – sex.
Federal agents are looking into claims by former members of Paxton’s staff that the high-profile Republican committed bribery, abuse of office and other crimes to help Austin real estate developer Nate Paul, the people told The Associated Press. They insisted on anonymity to discuss the investigation because it is ongoing.
And here’s the sex part.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton had an extramarital affair with a woman whom he later recommended for a job with the wealthy donor now at the center of criminal allegations against him, according to two people who said Paxton told them about the relationship.
Paxton says everybody on the planet is lying about him and he’s used to it. Yeah, like that time when he picked up a Mont Blanc fountain pen that another lawyer had accidentally left in the security scan basket, denied he knew anything about it and then suddenly “found it!” in the back of his brief case when security cameras saw him take it.
The guy would steal the fillings out of his grandmother’s teeth.
Thanks to everybody for the heads ip.
Wonder what his Super Deluxe Brand Christian wife thought about that? Or does she get to watch – like the current evangelicals seem to like to do?

2I don’t understand how “attorneys” like Louie, Cornyn, Abbott, and this fool get and keep their licenses. I’m thinking specifically the Texas Rule about Good Moral Character and Fitness. Apparently that Rule has been ignored for YEARS.
3Micr#3 – I’m wondering how they managed to pass the LSAT much less the bar exam!
4“Ken Paxton had an extramarital affair with a woman whom he later recommended for a job…”
That’s gotta be one of the worst ways she could have landed a job interview and a reference. Ever.
5That’s his “O” face.
You’re welcome.
6Ken Paxton has finally done something he’s going to have to pay for? Good! He has gotten away with waaay too much, for waaay too long. I hope–hoo boy, do I hope–that you’re right.
7Micr @ 3, if only the bar in TX were the only ones failing to police their own. Allegedly ‘liberal’ NY doesn’t seem to be doing much about crazy Rudy. Nor, all the states in which Billy Blob Barr is licensed to practice and Dee Cee. SMDH
8Please, please let’s have a strong Democrat run for AG. Surely Texas can do better that George Pee, who has already been salivating about the next step up.
9What a triumvirate of state pride- Abbot, Patrick and Paxton. And it makes sense that Cruz, Cornyn and Gohmert are also Texans. Now I know there are many good people in Texas, especially those that frequent JJs Beauty Salon, so hope I’m not offending y’all. I spent 2 years living in Texas in the last 7 years, so I know there are many good people, but geeze, these 6? Is it the water or the constant buzzing of Sakatas after dark. I know they drove me crazy.
10Paxton, much like Dan Patrick, is the darling of the Southern Baptist Church. When he was first charged for securities fraud, the first place he ran was First Baptist of Waxahachie morning service where he wailed he was being persecuted for his religious beliefs. Expect much more of the same.
11What I find interesting is that Nate Paul, Paxton’s “friend”, paid $25k to Paxton’s 2018 campaign to get favors. That’s what Pam Bondi in Florida got from Trump just before deciding to drop out of the multi-state investigation of Trump University. And it was $25k that Cyrus Vance, Jr. got just before he stopped the investigation into Kushner and Ivanka for real estate fraud.
It looks like we know how much it costs to buy an attorney general or district attorney: $25k. I was born and reared in Texas so the corruption doesn’t bother me, it’s how cheaply they sell themselves.
12A moment of personal privilege …
At a restaurant in McKinney, on US75, I sat eating with a couple of McKinney friends. In walks Paxton. One of my lunch companions attends the ever so Babtist church Paxton attends. Paxton was running for something, so of course he’s kissing fannies and patting heads as hard as he can go. Gets to our table and shakes hands with each of us. His hand shake is damp and feminine, like the 80 year old white-glove wearing neighbors of my grandmother’s in the late 50s and early 60s. I wiped my hand on my napkin after I sat back down. His friend says “He’s like Herb Tarlek, but without any personality.” Empty golf shirt.
13If there is any proof that the Republicans have a firm hold on Texas then Paxton is it. I have a very low bar for my attorney generals. I’d like for them not to be under indictment or commit crimes. Unfortunately, neither the current U.S. or Texas attorney general can say that.
In a state where both parties can win, all you would need to say is “hey, I’m not under indictment” and you’d win at least 60/40. I’m hopeful that Texas is becoming more purple and if the get out the vote efforts in Harris county can be replicated statewide you might have a fighting chance.
14Art, the attorneys who were shot in El Paso, Georgette and Daniel Kaufman, were working on child support issues. (She died and he is still alive.) Knowing how crazy some non-custodial parents get about paying child support, I suspect the terrible shooting may be related to a case they handled or a personal issue.
I find it hard to explain to non-Texans and even some Texans why Ken Paxton is still in office. I cannot explain why anyone would vote for him. I hope that these allegations are investigated and go to trial.
