Remember when Trump and Kim Jong-un “fell in love” with “beautiful letters”?  Remember when Trump ignored everyone who knew what they were talking about and boasted that he was going to do a great deal, get Kim to shut down his nuclear program and start building beachfront hotels?  Remember when Trumpists told the rest of us that Trump was a genius, “unconventional”, and getting more done than any president in US history?

I do.  And the result of Trump’s go it alone strategy and unilateral disarmament of US forces in South Korea is complete disaster.  Kim’s nuclear program is stronger than ever, and John Bolton is now saying that the WH may have to actually admit that Trump miscalculated his ability to charm murderous dictators.  In an interview with Axios last week, Bolton was critical of Trump’s decision to go it alone and unconditionally meet with Kim.  He and other officials are saying that the US will likely have to return to it’s normal policy of strict sanctions and even intercepting ships illegally shipping fuels to North Korea.

At some point you’d think that Republicans would begin getting the message that Trump is nothing but a boastful buffoon who doesn’t have the slightest clue what he’s doing.  And they need to do that sooner rather than later.

We’ve all seen Trump fawn all over brutal dictator Kim Jung Un, ignoring his human rights record, nuclear weapons threat, and outright brutality.  Last week, Trump sided with Kim against Japan, our most important Asian ally, after North Korea launched short range missiles towards Japan that fell into the sea.  Trump dismissed the launch saying,

“It doesn’t matter. All I know is that there have been no nuclear tests, there have been no ballistic missiles going out, no long-range missiles going out. And I think that someday we’ll have a deal. I’m not in a rush”

We all know that Trump is an unthinking, narcissistic ass.  No one or nothing is more important to him than himself.  He ignores his advisors, our allies, and all intelligence and law enforcement agencies.  He’s an “expert” and a “professional” in all matters, taking his own counsel.  He has done the same when it comes to Kim, playing games and coddling him.

Well, that behavior has now gotten at least five North Korean emissaries killed according to South Korean newspaper, Chosun Igbo.  Remember when Trump abruptly ended the sham negotiation with Kim over nuclear weapons last March?  Apparently, Kim showed his displeasure with Trump’s walkout by executing by firing squad chief negotiator Kim Hyok Chol and four of his staff.

The guy that Trump loves and trusts, who has a murderous track record, just murdered five diplomats because His Orangeness, in his all-knowing wisdom, is screwing around with nuclear weapons, close allies, and a brutal dictator for reality television storylines and more tweeting from the toilet in the WH.

You remember Trump’s victory lap a couple of weeks ago after his “summit” with Kim Jung Un?  You know, the summit where he lavished praise on Little Rocket Man and saluted his general?  Remember when he declared that North Korea’s nuclear threat was over?

Not so fast, bucko.  New satellite images FROM LAST WEEK show that the North Koreans are rapidly constructing new buildings and expanding facilities at Yongbyon Nuclear Scientific Research Center.  Noted are additions to the facility where plutonium is extracted from spent fuel rods.

As Trump boasts of his negotiating prowess and his neutralizing of Kim, it appears we need to add yet another lie to his pile of lies that now exceeds 3,200 since the inauguration.

There is a place for anger, and THIS is it.

Trump’s a lunatic being manipulated by the bad guys in the WH, and normal people understand that.  Mike Pence?  He’s a mindless moron, also being manipulated by the bad guys in the WH (when he pulls his nose out of Trump’s…uh, never mind).  This week, both Trump and Pence went on national teevee and talked about how North Korea could end up like Libya if Kim Jong Un didn’t play ball with the US.  Keep in mind that when they say that, they’re talking about Muammar Gaddafi being chased down and murdered in a not very nice way by rebels when his government collapsed after he gave up his nuclear weapons.  So to aid Trump and Pence in their preparation for North Korea summit talks, I’ve developed a handy checklist:

Trump has ranted and raved about North Korea and “Little Rocketman” this year, has severely criticized China for not being tougher, and for continuing to truck and ship fuel oil into the country.  Visibility to that practice and further sanctions have served to choke off fuel to the Hermit Kingdom.  For a while, North Korean ships were loading in Russia and delivering into the country.  When that was discovered, surely that would choke off Kim Jong Un’s oil and drive him to the negotiating table, right?  Not so fast.  It’s now come to light that Russia has been loading fuel oils in Russia and then…wait for it…transferring those fuels to North Korean ships on the high seas.  That’s a direct violation of the UN sanctions agreed to by all, including Russia, and now they’ve been caught red handed smuggling into North Korea.  Trump’s response?  Dead silence.  Not one tweet or threat has been made since the news hit the wires today.

Now what is his orangeness to do?  Does he criticize Putin for violating international sanctions risking disclosure of the Pee-Pee Tapes, or does he stay silent, confirming his fealty to Russia?  We’ve never, in the history of the US, had such a compromised and ignorant buffoon infesting the White House.

God help us.
