Surprise Surprise

January 02, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, I know this is shocking, shocking I tell you, but most Americans think Donald Trump is a doofus.

The good folks over at Gallup polls have done their duty and discovered that

As Donald Trump prepares to take the presidential oath on Jan. 20, less than half of Americans are confident in his ability to handle an international crisis (46%), to use military force wisely (47%) or to prevent major scandals in his administration (44%). At least seven in 10 Americans were confident in Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton in these areas before they took office.

I gotta admit to you that I’m confused.  Since he got 46.1% of the vote in November, that means .1% of people have lost faith in him.  Where is their apology?

Compared to other Presidents?

So he’s starting in a hole.  Somebody let me know if he hits oil.

Be social and share!

Poll misses the obvious question: will Donnie be able to defend HIS interests at home and abroad? Therein lies the downfall of Donnie. While his cabinet nominations are a general indicator of Donnie’s agenda (himself), “getting it done” party of one Donnie is out on an ice floe attended only by his pal Putin. He may go down faster than the Titanic.

Dumb a$$ Donnie has already offended David Koch.

  2. I won’t take time to look it up, but something like 20% of the people who voted for him don’t trust him to handle nuclear weapons. Only possible response: WTF were you thinking?!?!

Unfortunately if he’s impeached or stomps off, we’re still stuck with Pence (who will no doubt be doing the work anyway).

    2
  3. And he might “work effectively with Congress to get things done”, but they’re going to be ******* horrible things.

We need to start gathering stories of Trump voters with buyer’s remorse stories. Most of Trump’s cons should have fallen through or been exposed by that time…

  5. That Other Jean says:

@RepubAnon: Trump voters with buyer’s remorse are already gathering their own stories. Go check out Trumpgrets on Twitter.

  6. Expecting the majority (or even a fraction) of Trump voters to acknowledge there is a problem with their guy is as useful as expecting an amoeba to understand calculus.

Getting those that did know better to vote is the problem. These people are the ones that really should be toasted to get a move on. There are more of them than Trump repenters.

Donald is only getting warmed up, wait until people realize he isn’t going to divest his business holdings or release his taxes.

  8. Mary in San Antonio says:

That Other Jean, I went and read some of the tweets on #Trumpgrets and was LOLing. These people are such idiots. Why would anyone ever think that Trumplethinskin felt the least bit of empathy or sympathy for them? He’s never cared about anyone other than himself and maybe Ivanka before. Why should now be any different?

  9. Jane & PKM says:

Remember how much Donnie enjoyed low energy Jeb. Wait until he attempts to work with one speed low speed the turtle that caught the bus, Mitch McConnell. That snacilbupeR Congress isn’t exactly a bag of prizes. They’re all yours, Donnie.

    9
  10. Jane & PKM, don’t forget the nearly comatose Mental Ben. Oh, the cocksplat has assembled a troop of real prizes. None of them know diddly about functional governance.

Buyer’s remorse is going to be an industry we ought to be buying lots of stock in.

  11. Jane & PKM says:

Debbo, we’re considering a major investment in piñatas to deploy during the drown your sorrows inschluberation party. That would be the real party the ladies are throwing the day after that Donnie thing.

We didn’t vote for that schlub and it may require some time before we can extend any mercy toward the morons that did. Lucky West Virginia. They have two lifelines – Donnie and Joe Manchin. Otherwise known as cement boot #1 and cement boot #2 to the proverbial drowning man. Choose wisely, WV.

  12. If you want to invest in something, invest in NYC real estate. Trump will move heaven and earth to keep Manhatten valuable. He owns a lot of it, and he will protect and promote its value.

  13. Ogg no trust polls after Nov. 8.

    13
  14. He’s obese, eats a lot of junk food,.and doesn’t exercise. He doesn’t have the stamina to last four years.

    But then it’s Pence.

    14
  15. I realize I’m hot-headed and expect branches of government to do their job. With that in mind, step into the cesspool that is my thought universe and consider this…
Wtf if Hair Drumpf died of natural causes before 1/20/2017? As patron Ted so deliciously pointed out “He’s obese, eats a lot of junk food, and doesn’t exercise.” What if he f’ing dies before 1/20/2017???? Who IS the next POTUS??? Are you listening to me SCOTUS?

    15
  16. Rhea–I don’t expect Pence to run anything; I think Cheeto Cocksplat plans to have Ivanka et al. do his job.

Wally–I had to read your comment a couple of times to “get” it: “Ogg” was my maiden name, and my brother loved to call himself “the Oggliest man in town.” Thought for a minute there that you had called him back from the dead. Which is still better than thinking about CC after 20 January…

  17. Linda Phipps says:

Other Jean: from what I have read, a preponderance of Trump supporters, they are mostly angry about the broken promise of a wall. That they will love their entitlements has not sunken in yet. I think for the rest of us, the national social climate can be described as “anomie”.

  18. Talked to the folks back home in Michigan by long distance yesterday. Seems that all the young folks from kindergarten on up to new graduates (both under and otherwise) are publicly referring to Trump as a dictator. They are pissed at the 75,000 votes in their state that were never counted. This is the state that historically was home to the Arsenal of Democracy and still does a whole lot of that stuff. Trump refuses to acknowledge it now but he will have to wear a suit of armor. Maybe he can get a loaner from the Kremlin museum, maybe one autographed by Putin.

If you think he’s a doofus you are way behind in yer thinking. He has proven to be a doofus-over and over again.
