Stunning – Just Stunning

Okay, in today’s edition of Why The Hell Aren’t These People In Jail? I will tell you about a Super PAC that ripped off people to the tune of $3,000,000.  You’d think they won the damn Super PAC lottery.

The PAC is called “For A Better America.”  It is located at 2180 North Loop West, Set. 255, Houston, Texas 77018. That is the law office of Jarad Wayne Najvar.

The PAC raised $3 million, but only $30,000 of it is itemized.  When you click that link, you will notice the lack of employer information for the donors.  Hmmmmm … is that on purpose or just real sloppy bookkeeping?

And how was the money spent?  Well, vendors got all of the $2.75 million spent.  All of it. Click here to see this damn mess.  Pay particular notice to this vendor.

This vendor got a boatload crap of money.  However, their address is a post office box, and there is no such company authorized to do business in the District of Columbia.

Not one dime of the monies raised went to a candidate or a campaign.  Not one damn stinkin’ dime.

Here’s the couple who bankrolled the creation of this bucket of crap.

They have a little history with this kind of stuff.  Two years ago, they were prohibited from doing any fundraising in the state of Oregon after ripping off people with their Firefighters Support Foundation, which didn’t support firefighters.  The website is still up.  The “Foundation’s” address is at a UPS store.

The reason they were banned in Oregon is that their “charity” only spent 6.5% – averaged over three years! – on program services, i.e., benefitting firefighters. The rest went to fundraisers. Thanks to Citizens United their new super PAC can give zero to support or oppose candidates – all the money can go to fundraisers.

Here’s another little fun fact – the website for “For a Better America” links back to the original website that got them banned in Oregon.  Holy. Damn. Crap.

There has got to be a real special place in hell for these people.  It’s legalized theft, thanks to the United States Supreme Court.

Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.

Be social and share!

  1. Dang! Where can I get me one of those?

Well yeah, shame on these people. But a huge grinning whoop de doo to the credulous nutbags to send them their money without checking them out. I tend to be wary of any group that has the words “patriot” “family” “core values” or any variation. That would include, I guess “better …” anything.

In 2016 I started a super PAC: “Mexicans for Trump.”

But I still haven’t gotten any donations.

And that sewer rat Scalia went and croaked before the evidence of the false story about his great legal mind was clearly shown to be an early case of “Fake News”.

  5. Shrug. Whenever I see people donating to PACs that do nothing but enrich the like of these people, Palin, etc., I just expect that there will be less money to support getting Repugs elected. A fool and his money….

  6. For A Better America PAC?

The couple should either change their last name to America, or refile their committee registration as For A Better Barbara & Ralph Mroz.

“Supreme” Court, my big behind! They became the Corporate Court with Citizens United and aren’t likely to be otherwise in our lifetimes — not with guys like Gorsuch on the court. We are so screwed…

  8. Craig Waters says:

    Dear Ms. Juanita,

We should be thanking these people. They are doing us a favor by taking money meant for Republican candidates and spending it elsewhere.

  9. 1250 Connecticut Avenue? I assume North West? And it has a post office box? Well, 1250 is only a quick walk down the street to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Just saying . . .

    9
  10. Looks like they raised a bunch of money and loaned it to themselves at an absurdly low interest rate, slightly different from Romney’s Bain is bankrupting Toys R Us, where the money goes for “management fees.”

    10
  11. I’m with Craig. You don’t say what this PAC was supposed to be doing, or who was targeted for fundraising, but if it was sucking money away that would otherwise have gone to GOP candidates and causes, I can’t be all *that* upset.

    11
  12. Why do I suspect the Oregon AG might be interested in where the money for this PAC came from.

  13. I’m going to start an Immigrant Repatriation Fund:
    ” SendPedroHome.org ”

    The wingnuts will throw money.
