Sometimes …

Sometimes there is a man so evil, so self absorbed, so pathetic

The flags at Congress and the Washington Monument stand at half-staff for Senator John McCain, but the White House flag was raised to full staff this morning.

Thanks to everybody for the heads up.

  1. What a small piece of s### we have for a Pres.
A POX on him and all of his enablers.
When you Lie and Cheat to win something.
You are not a winner. You are a lieing cheater.

  2. Why are people like Mattis and McMaster are silent about this? Both are former military. A bigger question: Why is congress and the senate silent? McCain was a Republican. One of them.

Trump can never understand men of integrity and honor like McCain and OBama. No, I never voted for McCain, but I respect the fact that he served our country.

    2
  3. And Trump will never be a man of integrity and honor.

  4. SteveTheReturned says:

Looking forward to trump’s next rant against kneeling NFL players who he thinks aren’t showing proper respect for the flag. What a miserable, miserable situation we’re in.

  5. Papa, I agree trump has no integrity nor honor. Say what you want about his politics , McCain was a true patriot and loved this country, My flag is flying with black mourning banners. My Democratic Governor here in RI so ordered as a sign of respect .

  6. @Maymoon,

McCain was a true patriot who served our country honorably. The same will never be said of DT.

  7. Since we know that the Orange Moron won’t be going to any of the funereal events, I’m wondering what stunt he’s gonna pull to make sure the attention stays on him and not the deceased.

  8. When SOBOTUS Trump goes to his grave (speed the day), they had better build a deep wide moat all around the damned place.
Otherwise the ground around it is going to be a perpetually muddy mess from all the citizens (and patriots) micturating on it. The moat would of course need a large overflow drain to keep up with the inflow.

  9. He wasn’t invited to the funeral. Former Presidents only, two of whom served in uniform, one from a plane and the other from a submarine. Can just imagine the Golden Gibbon sitting in the corner self-pity to the max and furious because the wasn’t invited so he loses an opportunity to be once again the star of his own show. Sorry for him. NOT!!!!

    9
  10. Sandridge – I hope he doesn’t qualify for Arlington.

    10
  11. Lunargent says:

    Sandridge –
    “Micturating”, eh?
What a nice big shiny fifty-cent word for my collection!
    In fact, keep the change..

    11
  12. Papa, well, when he became SOBOTUS he assumed the role of Commander-in-Chief so I think he’s in. I have a feeling that somebody will see that Comrade Bonespurs gets a ‘special place’, like over near the sanitary facilities or something (preferably downhill from them). The micturating moat should be a big part of it.

Lunargent, heheh, when a simple pee or whizz just won’t do… like the Dr’s advise: be sure to drink a lot of fluids before visiting.
(recommend flavored/colored drinks, like I drank a big Sonic ‘Blue Moon or something’ slushy, later went to the bathroom and when I looked in the bowl got freaked out at the bright kelly green ‘water’, so an orange drink would be appropriate, eh?).

  13. Other the inflicting Palen on us, McCain was always country first. Didn’t like his politics but he was genuine.

  14. yet another baby boomer says:

One of my younger work colleagues who spent time in the military says the vets aren’t at all pleased with latest disrespect shown towards McCain by the horrid person who claims to be POTUS. He thinks the vets are slowly but surely turning against him. Hoping that he’s right but it’s his personal opinion. Anyone else have a handle on the vets’ overall attitude towards him? Any polls out or something? I’m really curious about it.

    14
  15. I suspect that the bs press conference this morning, concerning the non-existent new trade agreement with Mexico, was because it was driving him crazy that the news outlets were concentrating on McCain.

    15
  16. Just to spite the toddler in the Oval, I went out and lowered our condo community’s flag. Didn’t even ask permission.

    16
  17. Buttermilk Sky says:

The WH flag was re-lowered after complaints from, among many others, the American Legion. Meanwhile, Cadet Bonespurs is planning a big dinner — “like a State Dinner” — for his die-hard supporters the evangelicals. And Thomas Jefferson revolves slowly in his grave.

    17
  18. LOL at Ann. Way to go!

    18
  19. Small Hand Puke can’t stand the idea of anyone getting more attention than he does, even if they are dead. (And maybe he knows no one will lower the flags for him)

    19
  20. Fleeting Expletive says:

I like that this was an emotional thing with the Big Baby and it was stopped, and he was pretty much spanked and sent to bed for having his little tantrum. Grownups. They won’t let him do what he wants. That is significant, I think.

I do wonder whether it was Kelly or Mattis who told him NO and smacked his nose with a rolled up newspaper.

    20
  21. two crows says:

What’s ironic is the fact that, when Trump dies, all the flags in DC will be flown at half-staff — not because he deserves it but because it’s SOP. It’s what what we do for former presidents.
    ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
And Cheryl: You won the internet today!
You KNOW that’s what that press conference was all about.

    21
  22. If trump really, really wants to be at McCains funeral. the solution is simple. Since only FORMER presidents are invited, all he needs to do is resign before the services. At that point, he is another former president…..win-win for everyone.

    22
  23. I think McCain has gotten the best of Rump. And Rump can’t do a damn thing about it. I’m sure McCain is somewhere in paradise laughing, and knowing that Rump will never make it there.

    23
  24. Linda Phipps says:

Knowing how immature the fake president is, I can actually understand why A: he raised the flag, and B: assumed the crossed arm position when questioned about McCain. He is striking out at a presumed slight, but he deserved it.

    24
  25. And a oh-so-very-special “Eff you!” to White House Chief of Staff, John Kelly, a retired Marine Corps General, who allowed this to happen.
