Screaming Louie! UPDATED

October 23, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

WashPost on Republican invasion of hearing room this morning says,  “A shouting match ensued between Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) and some Democrats in the room as Schiff left to consult with the Sergeant at Arms, according to Rep. Gerald E. Connolly (D-Va.), who witnessed the scene.”

Now, Honey, I would pay cash money to see that.  Please tell me there’s a recording of it.

UPDATE —

It was the Jos. A. Banks riot.

A group of House Republicans stormed into a secure room at the Capitol on Wednesday where the latest witness in the Democrat-led impeachment inquiry was set to testify, shutting down the proceedings.

Not to be confused with the Brooks Brothers riot.

  1. I do hope the phrase, “dumbest sumbitch ever elected to the House EVER,” was used.

    1
  2. Please ignore the redundancy.

    2
  3. Ya know, somebody with a half a brain (which lets Louie out), would probably think once or twice before going up against Adam Schiff or Nancy Pelosi. I expect these fools to be depants in public. And that’s just for starters.

    3
  4. I hope someone got this sh!t on a video. Wasn’t just Louie who was screaming.

Nancy needs to get serious about having well armed guards at the doors. These @ssh**** need to be arrested, fined enough to make it hurt and jailed for breaching a secure area, obstruction, etc.

    4
  5. The speculation was that panicky cheeto told the Goops to be more aggressive which apparently meant mob Obstruction of Justice by Cheeto and his Cheeslings.

It was all they could come up with in a short amount of time.
Yo, Dems be sure to add that to the list of charges, Gaetz at the top of the constitutional incitement please.

  6. Someone commented that the only person with a functioning brain in the crowd is the woman on the stairway, in a blue dress, waiting for the tractor beam to kick in & get her out of there:

    6
  7. Of course the Republican cowards one and all did it on a day when speaker Pelosi was in Baltimore attending the funeral of her brother. Will suspect there will be repercussions for these mentally challenged Republicans once Pelosi returns.

    7
  8. LOCK THEM UP.
    ALL OF THEM.

    8
  9. From @AndrewFeinberg ‘s twitter

“[@DarrellIssa] is not a [Select] committee [on Benghazi] member and non-committee members are not allowed in the room during the deposition. Those are the rules and we have to follow them, no exceptions made.” — @TGowdySC, Chairman, House Select Committee on Benghazi, 6/15/2015

Think the media will pick on on who is, and who is not, following House Rules?

The Speaker should hold them all in contempt!

    10
  11. Not only did they barge into a committee meeting that they had
no authority to be in, but they took their cell phones into a secure facility. That is a serious violation; in most places it’s a firing offense.

    11
  12. I am no big fan of calling for political opponents to be locked up.

But these guys should at least face the charges that anyone else would have faced doing something similar. Do they get to keep their security clearances?

    12
  13. megasoid –
Thanks – – I’ll be laughing about the “Animal House of Representatives” all day!

    13
  14. Rick @ 12 Odd physical and mental similarities between the two. In the movie, Bluto went on to become Senator Blutarsky.

Gaetz went on to become Bluto.

    14
  15. Grandma Ada says:

I think it’s ironic that these GOPers will come in late, leave early or not even attend their own assigned committee meetings and yet they want to force their way into the classified meeting of a committee on which they don’t sit. Idiots!

    15
  16. The more that comes out during the hearings and outside court cases ( FOIA reveal that demented baby boy and lawyer were never even subpoena’ed) it seems more and more that Mueller was a set up from the beginning and did the absolute minimum he could while still preserving his “reputation”.
From his phrasing of facts to hand in glove cooperation with barr in misrepresenting his findings to his overly cautious concern during his testimony it appears he was more interested in protecting “institutions” and his friends then in an honest investigation.

    16
  17. We desperately need more adults in government.

  20. So now it is no longer merely a harsh rhetorical characterization, nor even an exaggeration – their predilection for the Brownshirt playbook is *affirmed.* I bet not one of those hysterical goose-steppers recognize what they did for what it is. And since we know none of them (Louis especially) are literate enough to come up with a scheme like that all by their widdle selves, what I want to know is who really called in that play?

I keep waiting for the clowns stop spilling out of the tiny car, but nope.

    20
  21. I heard that the deposition was delayed 5 hours for this idiocy. Those who were involved should be fined any excess pay that had to be paid for staff & security. Speaking of, there should be more security with handcuffs next time.

Re Mueller: have we seen what Rosenstein’s instructions to him were? Seems like he was a bit handcuffed because when he testified on July 24 he practically begged (or “suggested, hinted, inferred”, to use Kamala Harris’ language to Barr) Congress to start impeachment proceedings. He also said early in his report that his investigation was hampered by those who obstructed, lied, took the 5th, or were overseas/unavailable. That he got as many indictments as he did despite all that says a lot. I still wonder if Mueller was forced by Barr to cut his investigation early because soon before he did, he had extended the grand jury for another six months. Suspicious.

FYI: The coup is in progress. We know who’s leading it, and the followers. A firing squad or noose is too good for them, but what the hell, just get the process rolling.

12 of the two dozen or so were actually committee members who could have WALKED RIGHT IN.
    https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/addybaird/republicans-storm-scif-impeach-trump-pizza-phones

So far, none of them have been faced with the usual charges one would expect: obstruction of justice, attempting to break into a federally secured location, or (maybe) witness intimidation.

Now even MLB Umpires are getting nutsy:

“On Wednesday, ESPN reported that baseball officials are looking into a tweet by Major League umpire Rob Drake, in which he announced he was buying a semiautomatic rifle in preparation for the civil war that would erupt if President Donald Trump is impeached.

“I will be buying an AR-15 tomorrow, because if you impeach MY PRESIDENT this way, YOU WILL HAVE ANOTHER CIVAL [sic] WAR!!! #MAGA2020” tweeted Drake, who has umpired postseason games since 2010 and lives in Arizona.”

As to the naming rights for this event I would imagine, given the gentlemen and districts involved it might go in the history

Also, has anyone else given thought to Pelosi for President 2020?

    27
  28. Those jerks would have loved to be arrested. What needs to happen is taking the phones they took into that room, checking them for malware and wiping them. Then the stupid little boys can have their toys back.

  31. Funny you mention the Brooks Brothers Riot. That bit of throwing over the chess board worked out for them, didn’t it?

This can’t. It is truly unacceptable behavior.

Nancy Pelosi should strip them all of their committee assignments. For the rest of the term.

I’m telling everyone I know that felony felony charges should be filed for breaking into a secured facility, obstruction of justice, and witness intimidation. Too bad Dems lack the guts to do so as I’d love to see all of them before a court and have arrest records.

    32
  33. AlanINAustin @ 32,

    What you said.

    33
  34. @ 32 – 33 Great minds and all that boys.

Rep. Bennie Thompson, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, demanded on Wednesday that the chamber’s sergeant at arms “take action” against the dozens of Republican lawmakers who stormed a secure impeachment hearing room with their cellphones, a brazen violation of House rules.

“Our country is a game to them. Remember that the next time they use ‘national security’ as an excuse for their bad ideas.”
—Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

In a letter (pdf) to House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving, the chamber’s chief law enforcement official, Thompson called Republicans’ coordinated attempt to disrupt House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry “a blatant breach of security” that “violates the oath of all members of Congress sign to gain access to classified information” and “contravenes security controls established by the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency for the protection of classified information.”

“This unprecedented breach of security raises serious concerns for committee chairmen, including me, responsible for maintaining SCIFs [Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities],” Thompson wrote. “As such, I am requesting you take action with respect to the members involved in the breach.”
“More broadly,” Thompson added, “I urge you to take House-wide action to remind all members about the dangers of such reckless action and the potential national security risks of such behavior.

Yeah, my Congress-clown was among the rioters. Afterwards, he opened his mouth and warned that if the government can impeach a president, it can impeach any one of us. Clearly “Buddy” (good name for a dog) does not know what “impeach” means.

And today they all got praise and a chewy treat from trump, who is excited by violence as long as somebody else is doing it. This was after he rewarded Turkey for promising to maybe stop killing Kurds at some point. It was a proud day for democratic government.

    35
  36. According to a Dem (sorry, I forgot who) on one of the committees, these idiots brought pizza in with them then left the boxes scattered about when they left. They treat our national security like a joke.

Sandridge@22, all the expected suspects. Our critter Mark Amodei is a moron, just not one of the band of ***king morons fluffing the ***king moron. Meh. He’s still on our target list since he’s the last remaining Republicon in our Congressional delegation. The area around Reno/Sparks is rapidly growing, so we have a good chance of finally out voting the FLDS lunatics in the eastern portion of our district.

Gohmert, an all purpose every part of speech substitute for FUBAR. Those following Gaetz are like lemmings on steroids leaping over the cliff. Matt is a little bit Louie (st00pid) and a little bit Lindsey (camera crazy) and a whole lot of his own drunken self.
