SCOTUS Issues Surprise
This afternoon, the SCOTUS issued a one sentence rebuke of TFG in his efforts to hamstring the DOJ investigating his theft of thousands of government documents. The order, one sentence long, said:
TRUMP, DONALD J. V. UNITED STATES
The application to vacate the stay entered by the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit on September 21, 2022, presented to Justice Thomas and by him referred to the Court is denied.
Even the SCOTUS can occasionally surprise by doing its goddam job.

1The request from Trumpf’s attorneys originally went to Justice Mr Ginni Thomas who then referred it to the full court. Thomas oversees the 11th circuit court of appeals (a scary thought) and I’m sure trumpf’s lowyers knew that when they filed with that court. Amazing, Thomas must have felt it would be too obvious that he’s a Trumpf hack if he ruled himself and thus referred it to the rest of the supremes. Trumpf must be pissed. Love it.
2I also think they don’t like the backlash they experienced over a screwed up decision not too long ago. Embarrassed maybe? Redemption ain’t easy.
3Let me fix that – Even Clarence Thomas can surprise by doing his goddam job.
4There was scant conversation around the Thomas household. Poor Ginni.
5Over many decades of SCOTUS watching, it is clear that they will conviently cover their backsides when necessary. Its a lot like playing chess.
6Yeah after the leak about the Roe ruling, they probably fast-tracked it before Boofer Brett could find some kinda way to screw it up.
7Thomas referred the request to the other eight because Ginni would punish him if he refused it by himself.
