Pro Publica Just Published an Archive of Over 500 Videos of the Attack on the Capitol

January 17, 2021 By: El Jefe Category: 2020 Election, Alt-Right Racists, Fascism, Impeachment, Insurrection, Sedition

Today, Pro Publica published an amazing archive of over 500 videos of the attack on the Capitol posted to Parler by the insurrectionists who horrified all normal people on January 6th.  They are in sequential order and cover the time from noon until 6pm Eastern time.

The level of violence can disturb some, so be warned and cautious sharing this around.  This is significant work and preserves for all time how Americans attacked Americans because they didn’t like the result of a free and fair election and followed a profoundly corrupt man to the Capitol and now to jail for a long time.

Be social and share!

I just went through the Parler trove of evidence from Trumpf inciting the mob/rioters and directing the mob to the capital and then the yahoos taking their own pictures inside the capital. Lots of violence against the outnumbered police with pictures of the Trumpf mobsters doing it. FBI has lots of good pictures and evidence that can be used to prosecute them and in the impeachment trial which has to be done. Also videos of Alex Jones with his bullhorn inciting his groupies. Add him to the indictments.

  2. I defend criminals for a living, and I normally think that we WAY over sentence people in this country. Not in this case. These traitors need to go away for a long time.

  5. AK Lynne, I’m with you–this stuff turns my stomach.

I understand the orange shitgibbon is taking in thousands for pardons. Does anybody kibosh whether pardons resulting from bribery of a US official can be negated?

Henry, you were correct then, and you are correct now. 3 strikes, especially for pot and prostitution was insane law, while white collar crime had a pass for the most part. We have laws on the books for sedition and terrorism to which many of the idiots on patrol need to be given the full due process of the law on all counts. If only the “white collar” guys sponsoring and inciting the mobs don’t go free. Starting with Donnie, Roger Stone, Alex Jones and the usual suspects.

On the bright side in recent news, the billionaires who backed Donnie are realizing they could have been “next” after the Vice Poodle was nearly placed in a noose. And, if the news coming out of the 50 state capitols is accurate, Y’all Qaeda has noticed noticed Donnie abandoned them. If only they’ grab a clue about their misdirected anger and stop voting against their own interests, ie. Republicon.

And other good news, the pentagon refused to kiss Donnie’s ass with a military going away extravaganza on Wednesday morning. I hope no legitimate news network covers his event.

  8. Pardon me if this comes out crass.

I won’t be viewing those videos until someone has curated a reason for me to. Preferably that it is evidence for a conviction.

I haven’t watched the George Floyd video, and I avoid other such because I refuse to be forced to watch a snuff film. I truly resent that this is what we’ve become, despite my gratitude that FINALLY we see what people of color have been telling us, and we may be able to stop the slaughter.

I pray for the healthcare workers and first responders, because they can save people. And that’s the unseen betrayal; somehow rejecting a role in helping others has become political…

  10. Steve from Beaverton says:

I think there’s plenty of evidence for conviction on insurrection for those inside the capital on these videos, if prosecutors define the attack on the capital as such. My question now is if Trumpf will try to do a blanket pardon for those accused of insurrection inside the capital. I would not be surprised. Also, a pardon for the speakers at HIS event, including himself.

    10
  11. Can somebody explain to me how he can pardon them for something they haven’t been gone to trial for or been convicted of? It doesn’t make sense.

Of course, nothing about all of this makes sense.

    11
  12. Hmmm, normally I proofread better than that.

  13. One of our local yokels even wrote an article for the local rag…errm… RW newpaper all about his wonderful trip to DC for the insurrection …errm…”Peaceful rally”; with “1 million participants” cough cough [link and brief below].
Perhaps the FBI, et al., would like to look into this guy? Just to check up on whatever he actually was doing over there.
[A cursory look indicates he’s just an average, but fairly recent, local; given the quite low average incomes in the area, one wonders how such an excursion could be afforded…just for a little fun at a distant ‘peaceful rally’… ]

Reminds me of how the same RW newspaper ~two decades ago ran a series of correspondences with a local banker[?], who dropped everything to hie off to Florida to participate in the 2000 Gore v. Bush election ‘Brook Brothers Riots’, disrupting the presidential vote counts back then. These Rethugs sure have some history in jacking with elections.

The crowd of an estimated 1 million participants in the “Save America March” Jan. 6 in Washington, D.C., is “very peaceful, calm, and had an almost Woodstock atmosphere,” according to V W of Floresville, who was in the nation’s capital last week. “When the violence started, most of the peaceful particip…

[Notice how the RW rag has now changed their online access policies, hiding everything except a brief intro behind their paywall. Until very recently, you could access a few articles in their entirety before hitting the paywall, no more. I suspect that they found some of the “fair use” quotes of their articles that I have quoted here on WMDBS before, and thought ‘we ain’t gonna let no damned libruls quote us’.

  14. @ Sandridge 13 Hmm Guns & Glamour Boutique and Gifts has a front page story, the mind boggles

    14
  15. bananas @14, Yeah, I noticed the irony of their ‘target market’, but such things are perfectly ‘normal’ in these parts of Texass. Perhaps you’re from a saner locale.

The main frontpage item, that very sympathetic ‘peaceful rally’ story, with a huge picture of the flagwaving DC jackasses and seditious insurrectionist domestic terrorists, was the headliner for the week [it was carefully calculated too].

This rag has been encouraging this stuff for decades, and the editor/publisher is one of the most skilled propagandists you’ve ever seen [although she appears to have dialed it back lately].
Monitor the paper for a month or so, just for grins.

  16. Some courtroom trials have used film as part of evidence. Hope this happens here, especially if tRump is called to give testimony or whatever in the impeachment section reserved for the Senate. You can never be sure if the majority of the Senate have seen the film. If they have and vote not to sentence, they shoudl be ushered out of the Senate in chains.

Sandridge @15, please be sure to check your mail the afternoon of 1/19/21, there will be 3 cats in a box. Figure if we can sleep in until 9am PST on the 20th, Donnie will be gone when we wake up. tia!

WHAATF? I don’t get it??, but I sure don’t need any more barncats.
Somebody dumped a real cute fluffy gray/white kitten off a month or two ago, who joined the herd. A few others disappeared with the [fairly distant] neighbor’s idiotic Jan 1st fireworks and a big thunderstorm [some just panic and run off..].
And due to a major FedEx and Chewy order screwup, I now have hundreds of pounds, ~15-20 sacks, of catfood in the garage. Not even the raccoons could chow down all that stuff. I’m looking for a shelter to donate some to.

    18
  19. Sandridge, lucky you having those cats. If I did, the coyotes and cougars would eat them. (I can’t stand having cat boxes inside.) Sorry to hear about the fireworks. Poor cats had to be panicky. I have cat and dog envy, unfortunately, because I am not in a position to have either right now.

    19
  20. AK Lynne @19, I’m far enough out in the boonies that various predators have surely eaten some of the semi-feral barncats that hang around.
There are coyotes, dogs, raptors and owls. And even raccoons can be predatory, although I see them all hanging around the feed together. I saw an owl almost get a cat once. Kittens seem to just disappear overnight, and I assume they get caught by the owls [big owls].

I have a strikingly cute half-grown traditional Siamese/Thai/Applehead kitten [born here, half the herd are various degrees of Siamese; it has very intense seal point-body color contrast, deep plush fur, intense blue eyes] that I’m trying to find a home for, it’s very friendly [I favor it] and eats like a horse. I should let it in the house, but like you just don’t want [another…] animal inside.

  21. Yellowstone says:

The assault on the Capital was not the first time right-wing domestic terrorists attacked a government building. In 1995 anti-government extremists bombed the Federal Building in Oklahoma City killing at least 168 people many of them children. Imagine rescue workers sorting out the body parts of the men, women and children who were murdered by these thugs.

The current groups of terrorists are motivated, organized, and well-armed. Unless they are forcefully confronted by good people they will be emboldened to even more acts of violence.
