Pop That Cork

June 08, 2023 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, so I was going to wait until it was official on Tuesday before I opened the champagne that’s been in my refrigerator for a couple of years.  I dunno if Trump is gonna make it until Tuesday. He’s giving himself a snot nosed hissy fit that generally ends with a heart attack.

But this has been a fun night for crook fighters.  I’ll tell you more about it tomorrow but, after years of fighting them personally, it appears I will finally be vindicated with True the Vote and my neighbor Catherine Engelbrecht.  The story broke yesterday and then exploded tonight.

And then, and then, holy cow, Texas AG Ken Paxton’s best beau is in federal custody tonight.

So, if the Astros had won tonight, it would have been a pretty perfect day.

Wow! What a news day. Nate Paul being held, tfg to be indicted and Pat Robertson gone. I’m almost afraid to go to sleep tonight for fear I might miss something!

  2. Steve from Beaverton says:

Wow, a Ken Paxton associate and the Donald have really bad days. Probably not good news for Kenny either. In Texas and in Floriduh. How ironic is that? Repugnantican heads are exploding tonight.

  3. Great to read this in the salon! Best way to celebrate the news.

(I’ll never understand those that send money tho, as a fundraiser hit their donor list before the ink dried)

Cheers to you beautiful Juanita Jean!
    We sure do appreciate you!
I agree ~ I’m afraid to go to sleep tonight!
    I don’t want to miss a thing!

Also, Bobert sued for defamation (dunno how strong that suit is) and one or two others in trumpworld getting unwelcome mail. It’s as if a deep state unleashed the hounds of hell.

  7. Another little goody: Empty Greene may have announced on live TV that she committed a crime.

You’re not supposed to take notes inside a SCIF, and while she may not have done that – exactly – she came very close to the line and may have crossed it with both feet.

  8. When I heard that trump had been indicted in Florida (the stolen sacrosanct security documents) I counted to three on my fingers: add New York and Georgia and that makes it a trifecta! And at least one of these will be sending the Golden Gibbon to jail, probably at Gitmo!

  9. Jusr clicked the link offered by BFSMan. O.MY.GOD. Of course she deliberately did that so she could get the spotlight all for her lilttle self. Word is that the FBI have some really tough spotlights that will cook her career.

  10. Looks like True The Vote a/k/a Englebrecht’s piggy bank has taken a real hit to the gutt. Long overdue!!! Thanks for all this outstanding info, JJ! All of these specimens are as crooked as a hound dog’s hind leg. After enduring the truly nasty smoke haze here at home, this has made the day totally worthwhile!

  11. G Foresight says:

Also, James Gaius Watt, interior secretary in the 1st term of Ron R. just recently died.

“During two years and nine months in office, he was a champion of private business, including oil, coal and other industries seeking what he deemed the necessary development of public lands, and a scourge of environmentalists, who regarded his nomination as a catastrophe for their cause.”

Good news all, and thanks to JJ for (a) holding TTVs cloven hooves to the fire, and (b) for spreading the news to us!

And I know we’re not supposed to focus on looks when there’s more important dirt associated with him. But Nate Paul’s booking photo looks like the picture that next to a “never buy a used car from someone who looks like this” news article. Hell, he looks a lot like I did 30 years ago, so I definitely would not trust him.

  14. Corpulent Crime Lord has been charged with 37 felonies. 37. The grand jury didn’t just throw the book at him, they threw an unabridged dictionary.

  15. The Surly Professor says:

treehugger: I vaguely recall that criminal defense lawyers come in two flavors: fixers and courtroom trial. The fixers are the guys that try to keep it from coming to trial, typically using backroom buddies and general ooze. The trial lawyers are the wanna-be Perry Masons. Effective fixers cost big money.

So I don’t know for sure, but if the two rats departing the SS Trumptanic are fixers, it could be that their role has been played out. Of course now we get to watch them trying to get paid ….
