VP Dense pulled a not-very-sophisticted political stunt today at the Indianapolis Colts game by showing up for the game, and tweeting this picture of himself with all the blah-blah-blah about standing for the soldiers, the flag, blah-blah-blah, :

As soon as the anthem was over, Dense then IMMEDIATELY left the game, tweeting this: 

Then Trump immediately followed up with this tweet:

Just patriots honoring the flag, right?  Pence comes to the stadium, tweeting he’s looking forward to the Colts game, then immediately leaves, incensed that players “disrespected the flag” by daring to kneel during the national anthem.  Trump then confirmed that he’s a super patriot by instructing Pence to leave if anyone protested during the anthem.  A spontaneous display of flag loving, yes?  Well, no, not really.

NBC News’ Peter Alexander then tweeted that the press corps with Pence had been instructed to not go into the game and stay in the van, since “there may be an early departure…”.  Alexander then reported that Pence immediately went back to the airport and flew to Los Angeles for a fundraiser.

So VP Dense, in cahoots with Cheeto Jesus, wasted millions of taxpayer dollars to jet to Indianapolis just so he could stage a walkout from the Indianapolis Colts game to show his patriotism for his mouth-breathing base.

The stupid thing about this stunt was they thought they would actually fool anyone with this kind of amateur idiocy.  Except for the mouth-breathers, of course.

One of the rising stories in the war between Trump and Tillerson has underlined the actual issue at the core of this administration – moral bankruptcy.  We all know that Trump is a complete waste of oxygen, a Grade A Shitbag, and every other pejorative one can conjure.  What is he, though, at his essence?  At his center, Trump is totally devoid of any decency or empathy and worse (if that’s even possible), he is morally bankrupt.  The case in point is the disagreement that has been simmering between Trump and Tillerson since the beginning of this train wreck; Trump’s desire to legalize bribery.

One of Trump’s core issues is a law that he wants reversed: the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.  The FCPA was passed in 1977 in an attempt for the United States to lead the world in reducing what was then blatant corruption and bribery in international business.  The law is enforced by the SEC and DOJ and has greatly reduced corruption because, under the law, business leaders are personally liable should their companies get caught paying bribes.  For years, Trump has railed against the law, calling it a “horrible law and it should be changed.” Trump says that not being able to pay bribes to foreign officials makes us uncompetitive.

Fortunately for us, but unfortunately for Tillerson, Rex disagrees with Trump.  In a White House meeting in February, Tillerson dared to do just that with Trump after he complained about the act, saying that bribery was key to success.  Tillerson stood his ground and even related a story to him about how he refused to bribe a Yemeni state official when he was CEO of Exxon.  The deal got done anyway.

What this story reveals is not only the importance of actual adults like Tillerson, Kelly, Mattis, and others to keep Trump in check, but the critical need that they do so.  Trump is the very definition of corruption.  He is so self absorbed and completely saturated by his corruption that he actually wants to weaken US policy so HE’LL make more money.  Just thinking about having this cretin at the levers of power sends cold chills down my spine.  This man is not only evil; his corruption is a cancer on our society.

This disaster can’t end soon enough; in the meantime, as much as I disagree with Tillerson on any number of policy issues, I also see his value as the last defense against Trump burning down what’s left of our republic.  He, and those like him owe it to the rest of us to stay in place until we can excise this disease from office by either criminal charges and/or resignation.

Republican Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee was a major supporter of Donald Trump’s and was even considered for the Veep position.  He was close friends with Trump.

But, as Trump is apt to do, no friendship or marriage lasts very long.

Last week, Corker told reporters that Mathis, Tillerson, and Kelly “are those people that help separate our country from chaos.”  Corker can say that since he’s announced that he’s not seeking reelection and has not one flip left to give.

So here it is, Sunday Morning and Trump goes wacko on The Twitter Machine.  He says that Coker begged him for an endorsement.  Trump tweets that he refuse.  So Corker, according to Trump, decided not to run again because he knew he needed Trump’s endorsement to win in Tennessee.

That’s an odd story even on the face of it, but it’s not true according to people who would know.  On edit: now more people coming forward to say Trump’s tweet is a lie.

Corker, who was obviously expecting this, was ready.

Jimmy Kimmel whipped up on Don, Jr. on Twitter.  So, maybe a few folks are willing to take on a dopey guy.

If you ask me, this is proof that the whole thing was a nightmare.

Denton County, Texas, is stuck half way between Dallas and the Oklahoma state line.  It is home to the fifth largest university in Texas and Trump Republicans on massive steroids and pills that make you talk all the damn time..

The Republican County Chair resigned “due to health reasons,” after she tweeted this a week after Charlottesville.

Hendrickson later shared an article that claimed the protests and counter protests in Charlottesville were a “false flag” operation orchestrated by former President Barack Obama to cause chaos.

Bless Lisa’s heart, all she wanted to do is kill her some liberals and blame Obama for it, but then everybody got all upset about that and it finally gave Lisa a splitting headache. Damn liberals.

So, the vacuum of crazybutt leadership reeled in some spectacular catches.

At least three more members of the Denton County GOP’s leadership team, including State Representative Patrick Fallon, have claimed, or shared material that claimed, Charlottesvile was a hoax or that it was orchestrated by liberals.

Mark Roy (Denton County GOP Vice Chair of Veterans Affairs/Texas State House Candidate HD-64)

Roy, a retired Marine, recently announced he will challenge incumbent State Rep. Lynn Stucky in the Republican primary for Stucky’s seat in Texas House District 64. Roy has written on Facebook that Charlottesville was staged, Arizona Senator John McCain is a traitor to the country, and that the Food and Drug Administration is putting sex hormones into canned foods in an attempt to turn Americans gay.

And damn my luck, I just bought an electric can opener.  And here’s the scary part: the incumbent state rep ain’t exactly endorsed by MENSA or the American Mental Health Foundation.

And there’s Connie Hudson who believes that the New World Order, paid protestors, selected psychopaths, and God only know what else are all attempting to sour the mood of Americans and if there’s on thing Republicans really hate, it’s sour moods.

Connie also believes that Charlottesville was a hoax And she probably thinks it was done just to give her a case of sour damn mood.
