Trump flew into a rage this morning after Greta Thunberg, the 16 year old climate activist, was named Person of the Year by Time Magazine. He then attacked her on Twitter causing an even greater backlash.

As if that were bad enough, the Team Trump showed up to get even more petty. They tweeted out the Time cover with Trump’s face photoshopped onto Thunberg’s body:

To make it worse, they posted the picture with 4 lies:
- Booming Economy (It’s not)
- Record Job Creation (Wrong)
- Historic Tax Cuts (That are causing record deficits and slashes to fundamental programs)
- #AmericaFirst Trade Deals (Not Really. And causing the loss of hundreds of thousands of jobs)
- ISIS Destroyed (Not hardly)
- Building the Wall (Not really, and stealing money from the military in the process)
There’s no stunt too silly, no insult too low, no pettiness more petty than from Trump.

Juanita Jean asked me to let all of you know that she and Bubba were injured when their car was rear ended last night in Austin. They are both pretty banged up but she tells me they’ll be OK with some rest and recuperation. I’ll be minding the Salon until she triumphantly returns.
Please send them positive thoughts and prayers to speed their recovery.

In a court filing yesterday, the US Attorney prosecuting Giuliani associate Lev Parnas claimed that he was being paid by the Russians, too, and that he was hiding the money in his wife’s name. He received a cool $1 million from them in September. They have asked the judge to revoke Parnas’ bail and jail him.
More manure on the giant Trump manure pile.

To be honest, I am less interested in impeachment than I am the Supreme Court decision on releasing Trump’s financial records from the criminal enterprise known as Deutsche Bank.
I don’t know what’s there but Trump’s determined interest in keeping it secret tells me that he’s probably got loans secured by Russians and the Saudis. Plus, I’m willing to bet my best pair of pink boots that Trump isn’t a billionaire.
Ya can’t argue with numbers. Well, you can but it won’t do you much good.
The nice thing about the records is that it won’t be Trump releasing them. It’ll be the accounting firm and Deutsche Bank. So, that means Trump can’t sit on them and dare someone to come get them.
Thelma says the coolest part would be discovering if Putin sends out 1099’s.
Now I’m counting on Chief Justice Roberts not wanting his legacy to be Trump’s bag man. I understand that’s risky.
The other good part is that Trump can’t protect his kids from state charges. He can’t pardon them. My belief is that it’ll turn into Lord of Flies within 24 hours.

Nancy Pelosi and the chairs of the House committees that investigated are now announcing two articles of impeachment against Trump. One is for abuse of power in extorting Ukraine, and the second for obstruction of Congress.
More later.

There’s three hours left to file for office in Texas. I’m right here at the Texas Democratic headquarters and the place is hopping. There’s no surprises today but there is some fun stuff.
Tulsi Gabbard’s campaign for president filed last week. Today at about 11:00, 3 or 4 of her supporters came here with a second application. We let them file it because … what the hell … nothing gained or lost. But then, the whole rest of the day, Tulsi’s supporters kept showing up to “sign the petition.” There’s no petition. When we told them that, they seemed like they believed it was a large conspiracy to keep them from signing the petition. They did not know what they were signing except it was for something about Tulsi. They kept insisting they got an official notice to come here and sign the petition from 11:00 to 2:00. I strongly believed I should write a petition for them to sign but a couple of them looked like they might could read.
Just now, Robby Wells from Atlanta, Georgia, just filed for President of the Unites States. His campaign site is RiseUpWithRobby.com you will be … uh, something. You will be something.

Presidential candidate Robby Wells on the right and some guy who didn’t identify himself but paid the filing fee.
That’s all so far.
Okay, Kelly Stone just came by to file for Railroad Commissioner and paid her $3,000 filing fee with one dollar bills. Oh, yeah.

And she had a sign …
