I Suspect Much Higher

Twitter.  Entertaining as it is, it may destroy us.  First, you have Trump’s tweets. And last, you have Trump’s tweets.

And then the bots.  This study shows that the Coronavirus is causing more than double the amount of bot activity than anything else ever has.  It is used to spread conspiracy theories which leads to uncertainty and that divides us even more.

Carnegie Mellon University researchers have discovered that much of the discussion around the pandemic and stay-at-home orders is being fueled by misinformation campaigns that use convincing bots.

To analyze bot activity around the pandemic, CMU researchers since January have collected more than 200 million tweets discussing coronavirus or COVID-19. Of the top 50 influential retweeters, 82% are bots, they found. Of the top 1,000 retweeters, 62% are bots.

The the rightwing wants to talk about fake news?

Chatter away at the robots, Chucky.

I Just Thought About This

Do you know who is still alive?  Dick Cheney.

He’s 79 years old. He’s had five heart attacks, the first one when he was 37.  He’s had bypasses, pumps, stints, and probably a bottle of glue.  He had a heart transplant ten years ago. He shot a guy in the damn face, and a pellet or two landed near the guy’s heart and five years later it almost killed him.

And Cheney’s still alive.

That just doesn’t seem right.

Maybe it’s living proof that the good die young.

A Real Noteworthy Place in Hell

Well y’all, it looks like the man behind the curtain of the second dumbest president in history is downshifting and flooring it for first place.

Republican political guru Karl Rove is helping President Donald Trump’s re-election bid, focusing on voter outreach efforts and swing state strategies, four GOP operatives familiar with the effort told Insider.

They say that Rove is not being paid for his advice, which is overpriced if you ask me. He just wants to keep his name in the forefront for the 2024 race when campaign managers are needed.

Rove, for his part, says that while he advises the Trump campaign from time to time, he is not an advisor.

Yep, that’s how you know it’s Rove talking.

Bexar County, Texas, is where San Antonio lives.  They have a Republican Party in Bexar County that is become suicidal.

I can prove it.

This is their county chair holding a press conference and then hugging and licking on some men she asked to stand behind her.

The Texas Supremes

May 22, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself

God works in mysterious ways, and I can prove it.

The Texas Supreme Court is about to hear a fight between people who have brains on one side and the Texas Governor and Attorney General on the other.  It’s a real clear cut line.

The right to vote by mail if you are afraid of catching a deadly disease while voting in person is being challenged. It’s been upheld by district courts and one federal court but Republicans took it to the Texas Supreme Court because every damn justice on the Texas Supreme Court is a snake oil Republican.  Every. Damn. One.

In Texas you can vote by mail if you are over 65, will be out of the county during early voting and election day, are residing in a county jail awaiting trail, or are disabled.  Texas does not define disabled.  In Texas, you are disabled if you say you are disabled.

The run-off election is July 14 and early voting will begin July 6.

Everybody knows the Republican Coven of a Supreme Court we have in Texas will rule for extremely long lines to vote on new machines that no one has used before.  Yesterday, they stayed the decision of a lower court.

And then … then

The little print says, “We began to exhibit symptoms last week, despite diligently complying with stay-at-home rules,” the justice wrote.

Justice Debra Lehrmann and her husband both got the virus.

Now it gets interesting.

Lehrmann’s doctor has told her that it takes at least 10 days to recover from the coronavirus but that she must track how she feels and be symptom-free for three days before being sure that the virus is gone. She is now on her 10th day of having the virus, and her husband is on his 11th day, she said. But they’ve both measured a fever this week, which means the infection is still there.

.
Would somebody please send her the math on this?
