Well, crazybutt Lin Wood is double pissed at Texas’ John Cornyn, which puts him and me on the same team. The only difference between Lin Wood and me is … well, everything else.

Lin Wood
Lin Wood is on a tear over Cornyn because Cornyn said he did not believe that the election was stolen. Wood has about 800,000 followers on Twitter and he’s urge them to be heard by harassing Cornyn ahead of the big Walloping Rattlement in Washington January 6th.
Sunday he turned his ire on Cornyn, tweeting, “I would not trust @JohnCornyn any further than I can throw him. Cornyn reeks of Deep State stench. Let him know how you feel Patriots. Time for your voices to be heard by ALL.”
Honey, that stench you smell on John is pure caca del toro, not deep state. He has sold Texas down the river to feather his own nest and that of his oil buddy friends. John is a shallow tic of a man, just sucking up the money that floats to the top for him.
Now, I can’t feel any sympathy at all for John because he built this damn thing. He loved these same people as long as they did exactly what he said. He knew they were crazy but the thought he could control them. He couldn’t.
Thanks to SGray for the heads up.

Oh Y’all, oh. oh. oh.
Louie has sued Vice President Mike Pence. In court. Where lawyers hang out. No kidding.
This is all about the Vice President’s ceremonial role on January 6th, consisting of having the Congress count states’ electoral votes and finalize Joe Biden as the winner of the election.
But the Republican lawsuit, which was filed against Pence in his official capacity as vice president, asks a federal judge in Texas to strike down the law as unconstitutional. The GOP plaintiffs go further: They ask the court to grant Pence the authority on Jan. 6 to effectively overturn Trump’s defeat in key battleground states.
Now, not even getting into the constitutionality of this, think about what happens next – if this is the new law, then one party has the power to overturn every election from now to eternity because they’ll just keep appointing themselves after the election.
But, if you want to get into the constitutionality, we can do that. I’m pretty sure that the constitution does not allow the vice president to overturn an election. Pretty damn sure.
Thanks to Kyle for the heads up.

Glen arrived in Georgia with two House Mothers who will keep things safe and do the cooking. They will be stationed in Savannah and are working in conjunction with the Georgia Democratic Party. The kids will start canvassing today.
Making lasagna last night.

Here are some of the kids checking in and getting their official “uniform.”

They have promised an update tonight.

This kinda makes you wonder if Trump seriously doubts he’s gonna be inaugurated at the regular date and time.
It used to be that the reservation form for the Trump Hotel in DeeCee looked like this, with the day surrounding the inauguration blanked out:

But over the weekend, it changed to this: Click here to see the big one.

It opened up. Rooms around the inauguration are still top dollar, but look at the prices around the 6th when Trump is planning his “rally.”
Now I know that this is about as accurate as reading tea leaves, but ya gotta wonder if trying to disrupt congress certifying the election is just another scam to fill his pockets and that he knows he’s not going to be president.

The NY Times is reporting that Trump just signed the pandemic relief bill with funding for the federal government through September ’21. To be continued.

So, let’s bring back an oldie. Fun With Guns.
There’s some rules: (1) the shooter or the victim has to be doing something stoopid, this is often, more than you would suspect, the same person. (2) We take preference for stories from the South because people in the South have the proper tools to be funny – goats, an empty thermos bottle, a trailer of residence, meth, or roller skates. (3) Nobody can die. That’s not funny. We also don’t like loss of limb or digit, unless it’s the shooter and he had it coming. We once allowed a story about a woman shooting herself though the ta-tas because, come to find out, they weren’t her ta-tas to start with.
Today’s story comes out of California so you can bet there’s no goats involved.
The day after Christmas, Gerald Jacinth of Las Vegas, decides to go shoot his brother-in-law in California. Gerald is 75 years old and his victim is 77 years old. He drives to his brother-in-law’s house, parks across the street, and waits until he comes outside.
Wearing a disguise, Gerald approaches his brother-in-law and tries to hand him a package. The brother-in-law wouldn’t take it. Gerald holds up his bag of presents and shoots his brother-in-law twice. The injuries were non life-threatening. The victim did not recognize his brother-in-law because he was “wearing an over the head mask resembling Donald Trump, white long curly beard and a Santa hat as he made his way up the driveway.”
Well, damn, would you take a special delivery package from Donald Trump Claus?
The police arrived in a minute and since the victim was able to take a picture of Gerald’s car as he drove off, they nabbed him still in the same neighborhood. We don’t know what caused the gunfight, but we are going to add Donald Trump mask to our list of funny tools shooters have.
