One of Our Own

Dale, Texas, is beween me and Austin if you get lost around Lockhart and drift east.

It is also home to customer Scott, who wonders, “Couldn’t we have our cake and the moral high ground too if we just found a better job for Ted?”

Hell, I’m game.

Scott promises to let us know if anybody messes with it.

I don’t think they have an HOA in Dale, Texas.

Thanks to Scott for the great work!

  1. But but what did ciba ever do to us to deserve having canadian rafael foisted upon them.

I meaan they got rid of that trash once when they booted daddy out now they would be faced with this again.
    hardly fair.
Ambassador to Canada would be more just.

  2. How about the Entertainment Coordinator on Princess Cruz Lines Winter Caribbean & Gulf “See Where The Illegal Immigrants Live” Grand Conservative Tour?

Sorry, for your safety, no port excursions.

Not so fast there K – Canada is far too nice a country to have Cruz back. He was an anchor baby but is now a true red American citizen and I’m sure Canada has pulled his citizenship by now! They don’t want him back!

    3
  4. Yeah 1smartcanerican I agree but with legalized pakalolo they might be able to deal with him.
Plus wasn’t it Canadian universal health care that paid for rafael’s birth.
A variation on the Pottery Barn rule. You paid to birth him you are responsible for him.
Maybe if they have a second chance at him they can inject some sembelance of humanity into him.

  5. Maybe if Cruz went to Canada and smoked some weed he’d calm down. I’m not speaking from experience myself, but if it works, I think a lot more GOPs in Congress should light up. And stay home and miss votes and not bother us with their bills. And forget to file for re-election. I just want to see Mitch holding a roach clip and giggling.

  6. Diane Duffy-Patyjewicz says:

Do you think his family could afford a second home in Cuba if he becomes Ambassador?

And what about those family values? Whose watching the Cruz’s 2 daughters if mom is working 70 plus hours a week and dad’s in Washington????

  7. About the only job Rafael is qualified for is Port-A-Potty cleaner.

    7
  8. Bob Boland says:

Mike – I think that your comment makes assumptions about Rafael’s qualifications that are unfounded. Just because the man spouts BS, that doesn’t mean he is qualified to clean it up.

Rick, please don’t ever stop writing! Your comments are precious.

  10. @Bob
I was thinking more of him being the mop.

  11. Susan on the Left Coast says:

Seems there are right wing fans of evolution: Cruz, who condemned his GOP colleagues as part of the “Washington cartel” during his presidential campaign, is now stumping this week with John Cornyn, whom Cruz refused to endorse.

    11
  12. @10,7 Mike, @8 Bob,

To paraphrase the immortal Monty Python: After five years maybe they’ll give him a brush^…

Checking the reddit for my old home town (Fort Worthless), found a Ted Cruz relevant post. Read the second or third responsel, from user chacha_9119

Ted Cruz Ambassador to Cuba? That’s a terrible idea!

Ted Cruz Ambassador to anywhere is a terrible idea. Seriously, why would the US ever want to do something so heinous to another country that they’d hate our guts forever?

No, I think the opposite strategy would be useful. Hold old Ted in reserve, and threaten to send him to any country that’s making trouble for us. That’s right, world. One of you steps too far out of line, and we unleash the Ted Offensive.

    14
  15. Surly Professor, that post is disgusting. And I don’t mean the language around it, which is entirely justified though not for mama’s eyes.

  16. Off Subject

But wanting to ask of people closer to the event.
With demented donnie’s threat to send military to the border and the caravan getting larger, with reported deportees joining in, and pehaps a bit more determined one must ask Is there going to be an armed (way predominatly on one side) standoff along the border as we near election day?

Are the border areas democratic or thuglican? Assuming any sort of “Jade Helm”( couldn’t help myself) militarisation of the border from doddering don might screw up traffic and access.
How could it affect turnout etc.
    Just curious.

  17. Stand off I was thinking water protectors v. merc’s in North Country.

Oh and lets not forget a potential hurricane Wilma ( 4 edgeing on 5) sweeping in just to add a frisson of gothic horror ambience to the whole drama.

  18. @Mike #7:

IDK, Cruz might be a suitable employee to be a rectal thermometer tester.

  19. Jane & PKM says:

K, the fight is between making America GOOD again versus Donnie and the snacilbupeR grating the hide off what truly has made us great in the past. How we respond to the plight of refugees in the next weeks, uphold national and international laws, and most hopefully rediscover our inner decency can and should be the turning point to restoring our place in world leadership.

Two weeks. We vote. We can either kiss good bye health care, social security and the rule of law or we can elect Democrats. Beto, Jacky & Kyrsten will be a good start along with control of the House toward checking Dotard45 and his maladministration. Clear choices.

Global warming. We can do something about that, too, once we kick the science deniers and Koch style corporate hogs out of the equation. Clean coal … I’m not laughing as laughable as that idiocy may be. Rates right up there with ‘safe’ nuclear and other right wing myths.

    19
  20. Jane & PKM says:

Papa @18 and Mike @7, maybe if those bears are properly riled Kodiak bears, Teddie Crooze could be somewhat useful with a rectal thermometer. Dayum. Finding a useful occupation for that twit is a challenge.

    GO BETO!

  21. COmtnLady says:

Awww…. We couldn’t do something like that to Cuba or Canada. How about Siberia instead? He would be closer to the guy who’s calling all the shots, make it easier for him to sidle up to dear old Vlad, plus, with no climate changes it would be a comfy spot to live in. Yeah, Ambassador to outer-Siberia seems better.
