Okay, That’s a Start

February 16, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

The Mueller indicts 13 Russians for interfering in the 2018 election.  The indictments say that Russian defendants’ operations were “supporting the presidential campaign of them-candidate Donald J. Trump.”

The indictment alleges Russian meddling in 2016 election began as early as 2014, and Russians conspired with “persons known and unknown to the Grand Jury,” suggesting other suspects are out there.

  1. I wouldn’t recommend looking at the comments posted to the various news sources that have this article up already. But I did for some reason.

“Nothingburger” is probably the most tame and least delusional post I have seen. From there it runs all the way down to “this proves Trump did not collude!”

As if being a total fool is somehow exoneration.

  2. Great news thanks JJH!
For starters known ‘other members’ are diabolical traitors Pence, Sessions, Ivanka, Melania, McConnell and Ryan.

  3. Jane & PKM says:

“persons unknown” aka the roster of the Dotard45 campaign, transition team and current/former staff. “Unwitting co-conspirators” is a cute byplay on Dimwit Jr.’s Secret service code name, Halfwit. No doubt Jughead Kushner’s covfefe is also entwined in the evidence.

  4. 1) Indictments
    2) Porn star
    3) Playboy bunny

Quite the start to the weekend. Wonder what Trump’s golf score will be with all that on his mind?

    5
  5. “Unindicted co-conspirator” in 1974 was code for “Nixon.” Here we go again, I hope not. Indict Trump’s ass! Or are we saying he’s too stupid to be part of the conspiracy around him?

Promoting pro gun messages. Maybe we can find where the Russian contributions to NRA went.

  7. What are the actual options for hauling these people (or company reps) in? If they are Russians in Russia, isn’t the investigation stymied right there? If they are in the U.S., I can see a way forward, but how does it go from here? Or is this another link in the chain?

  8. How long must we wait for Mueller’s team to uncover
    1. money laundering by Kim Jon Drumpf and his children
    2. Kim Jong Drumpf being coerced by Putin or his satraps

    9
  9. Drumpf is pretending to be vindicated by the Mueller indictments, as if the entire thing is over. Not by a long shot.

    10
  10. I saw a lot of uses of “unwitting” to describe Jared and Kellyanne in their participation. Does the GOP now accept “incompetent” as a valid reason for screwing up???????

    11
  11. bernie Spencer says:

So, the alt right response boils down to:. They were too stupid to know they were being used.

    12
  12. Chloe Bear says:

Where is the indignation from the Rs. No action on legally required Russian sanctions.

We were attacked on a large scale based on pages and pages of evidence, Americans were conned, lied to, and defrauded and nothing is said or done beyond a self-involved, egocentric tweet.

What does it take for the R controlled Congress to take action to protect our election process?

    13
  13. Perhaps if we expanded the parameters of The Voter Fraud Commission we might get to the bottom of this. What? The commission has been disbanded?

    Timing is everything.

    14
  14. It is typical of well trained Russian agents to start an operation well ahead of target date. It can be 10 years ahead or two. So Trump is not in the clear on that 2014 date. As for proof of no collusion, not so. Just because Mueller did not mention collusion does not mean Trump is in the clear. Mueller is taking the gloves off one finger at a time! It is going to be one helluva spring!

    15
  15. AlanInAustin ... says:

Intelligence chiefs brief Congress about past & ongoing Russian interference in elections. Now Mueller is returning indictments and guilty pleas associated with that interference. Trump, of course, says it didn’t happen and sanctions aren’t really necessary. GOP Congress effectively shrugs its shoulders and walks off the job.

I’m less concerned about Russian interference right now than a totally corrupted GOP Congress & administration which rolls over with nary a word of protest.

    16
  16. e platypus onion says:

Rick, maybe this is why the commission disbanded. Maybe they knew what was going to be uncovered. And yet the word out there is still no sign of collusion and nothing points to Drumpf.

Mike Pence said a couple days ago there is no evidence of Russian influencing the election.

    17
  17. e platypus onion: In Pence’s defense, he is usually the last person to know anything.

    18
  18. Chloe Bear says:

The Commission disbanded because it got all the data it would ever receive. The Commission received voter information from 20 states gold for the Rs.

    19
  19. Linda Phipps says:

As it was pointed out in this morning’s news/opinion Trump is still more concerned about himself rather than the damage done to our country.

    20
  20. Reading the indictment one thought that comes up is that Hope Hicks must be reconsidering her confidence that “those emails will never ger out” ( which emails?)
If Mueller can get internel emails/text out of Russian Gov. agency and personal accounts what makes one think that the drumpf campaign can hide their’s?

    21
  21. e platypus onion says:

Drumpf tweeted Russia started this campaign in 2014, long before Drumpf decided to run for Potus, therefore, he is innocent. Except Drumpf announced in Moscow in 2013 he was running for Potus.

This guy never learns to keep his mouth shut because it WILL come back and prove he is a liar.

    22
  22. Do I get this right. Trump didn’t start running in till Putin told him to.
Puppet Master Putin, pulls the strings.
And Puppet Traitor Trump dance’s and sing’s.

    23
  23. I wonder how much money — Nunes R Ca, Biggs R Az,
Gohmert R Tx, and Gaetz La. Got from Russia, and or Trump and the RNC.

    24
  24. Opinionated Hussy says:

e platypus – “This guy never learns to keep his mouth shut because it WILL come back and prove he is a liar.”

It doesn’t matter, because he, his backers in Congress, and his base all believe that if he says it, it is the TRUTH….in SPITE of being proven to be lies. It does not matter to any of them if Reality does not match their opinions and statements…they press on, stating the opposite of the Truth, and nothing stops them.

  25. Charles R Phillips says:

Since this evidently is part of a conspiracy to break Federal election law, and shows strong evidence of corruption, why are we not thinking “Civil asset forfeiture?”

Every administration and campaign member who is part of the conspiracy, every organization, such as the NRA and RNC, el. al., can be rendered penniless if that part of the RICO statute were enforced.

Cities, counties, states, and the feds have all been using that to avoid taxes on locals for years. Now would be a good time to use it for what it was meant for; disabling corrupt persons and organizations.

    26
  26. Charles R Phillips says:

I guess what I was saying is, don’t attack the people involved, attack the money.

    27
  27. I’m still not convinced this started in 2014.

How long ago did the deep divides in this country begin? Before President Obama was elected — or even a candidate for president.

When did computers become ubiquitous in this country?
    The 1990’s.

I’m betting that, if we take a serious look as far back as the Clinton administration, we just might find Russian fingerprints in our politics. That’s certainly when it came possible on a widespread level — and I have no doubt that Putin wanted to do it even before that time. So why wait till 2014?

    28
  28. addendum:
imo, 2014 is just when Putin got good at what he was doing. Not good enough to hide it, mind you, but good enough to be effective in swaying elections.

Just wait. He’ll get better at hiding, too.
