Okay, Texas, Them’s Fighting Words
As most of you know, Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen sleeps with one eye open watching to big money boys organizing at the Federal Elections Commission.
He found us a fun one.
Come to find out, the treasurer of this PAC is the president and CEO of Angry Otter Productions, LLC, an independent film company, with a whole lot of job openings.
Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.
Um. I believe there are more job openings than they would have you believe.
Ferinstance:
Barbara Prcin. How can this be a person? Can she pronounce her name? I’m betting that’s a picture lifted off Photobucket or some such and given a name that can’t be traced because it doesn’t exist.
David Malone is straight out of the ClipArt library.
And take Kevin Martin SalZburg, shave off his goatee and — presto change-o! Michael J. Felts! Who doesn’t even have the gumption to make up his own name.
Hint: stealing the name of a movie star and changing 3 letters doesn’t make you into him. It. Just. Doesn’t.
I will give them this: if they want to make horror movies, this PAC is probably a good start.
1I would “gasp” but I’m too damned tired from sighing. I take issue with that Confederate thing, though. Damn fools will always be damn fools.
2Well hells bells, they get one like. And Yorktown did so well that the public is demanding a sequel.
3New Confederates Party? NEW?!!! Why? Cause the OLD ones sucked?
Whatever………
4ARRGGGHHHH !!!
5two crows and other TWMDBSInc,
“Prcin” could well be a local surname, most likely Czech or maybe Polish; the area to the east and southeast of San Antonio was settled by many of them (including Yorktown, Panna Maria, Pandora, Papalote, Schulenberg, Praha, Falls City, Poth, Runge, Victoria, El Campo, etc.), I’m pretty close by, know a number (crave kolaches…).
As far as “Felts”, I checked some local county RE tax records, there are a number of people with that surname listed in/near SA but no Michael. One car dealer, probably wouldn’t get away with the Confed stuff publicly.
.
I remember the ‘buzz’ about the “Yorktown” movie, pre & post, Angry Otter must have been a one hit op; seems pretty moribund now. Spooky old hospital, we kids years ago did stuff like that ;] .
I’ve been in Yorktown, pop ~2K, not much there…SA NOAA WFO (EWX ofcl weather) often refers to it when detailing thunderstorm activity, etc., coming up from the Gulf.
One famous Marine was born there, CPL Harlon Block, who was one of those raising the (second, famous photo taken) Iwo Jima Mt. Suribachi US flag. He was KIA a few days later. Block grew up in Weslaco, TX.
6His remains were re-interred at the Marine Military Academy, in Harlingen, TX, next to their flag-raising statue (actual model for the official one at the ANC, D.C). I remember that too, both the installation of that statue and the re-interment. I used to live a few blocks away from there (worked in many places mentioned too).

hmmm, this gets even more interesting – seems there’s a wedding for announcement for Kevin Martin Salzburg & Michael Felts – was it legal in Texas back then?
