Okay, Real Snake Oil

July 28, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

This morning, Donald Trump, Jr. got himself temporary suspended from Twitter for tweeting Totally Crazy Cure Lady from Houston who says she can cure Corona Virus with hydroxychloroquine.

I’ve seen Twitter. Think how crazy you have to be to be considered too crazy for Twitter.

But Don, Jr., is just that crazy.

Well now somebody found that Totally Crazy Cure Lady says all this germ stuff is just crapola.

[Dr. Stella] Immanuel, a pediatrician and a religious minister, has a history of making bizarre claims about medical topics and other issues. She has often claimed that gynecological problems like cysts and endometriosis are in fact caused by people having sex in their dreams with demons and witches.

It’s amazing I’m still alive, y’all.

But, seriously, there is an upside to this.  Both Twitter and Facebook banned her video and she was none too happy about it.

Immanuel responded in her own way, declaring that Jesus Christ would destroy Facebook’s servers if her videos weren’t restored to the platform.

Well, I guess Jesus slept-in this morning.

  1. “cysts and endometriosis are in fact caused by people having sex in their dreams with demons and witches.”

Not to get to far off the subject of her crazy video, but asking for a friend, are the cysts and endometriosis a result of ménage à trois sex (or greater) with both demons and witches at the same time? Or can one practice safe sex with a single dream witch?

Stella should know. She dreams of having a threesome with DUHTrumpf and Ivanka. Is that ok to say here? Maybe that’s too graphic even for us adults, so sorry if I’ve offended anyone. Let me know Juanita. I’ll probably get scolded by my wife, too

  3. They’re just coming out of the woodwork these days.

  4. Jane & PKM says:

Has anyone found any evidence that this woman is a licensed pediatrician as in actually board certified. Or, as a matter of fact is the lady simply certifiable?

She’s the type of ‘religious’ that makes me wish at least 50% of their fantasies were real. If being struck by a specifically directed lightning bolt was in the cards she’d still be safe for a few more months as the deity responsible for that miracle would be too busy in the DeeCee area taking out Donnie*, his maladministration, Republicons in Congress and 90% of K Street.

Jane and PKM @4 I raised that question on Wonkette, and another commenter looked her up and said she’s a licensed pedi in Texas and Louisiana. Board cert we don’t know, but I’m guessing she’s been in touch with Rand Paul about how to create your own medical accreditation agency, which will of course accredit their one member, as long as that member can pass the gyne-demon examination.

  6. Very difficult to get info about her, went to medical school in Africa.

  7. Could it be that Rump and his minions are the product of demon sperm?

    7
  8. And how the bleep does this woman still have a medical license?

  9. Kate Dungan says:

An American, she graduated with a medical degree from a university in Nigeria. She seems to be something of a gypsy doctor, moving from hospital to hospital and town to town.

The crazy. It’s not limited to the US. The hydroxychloroquine scam has jumped the pond and Europe is now fully infected. Millions upon millions of likes and spreading of the virus — uh, I mean video — to other websites all over Europe.

I don’t know whether to be happy that we’re no longer alone on the planet or to feel despair for the human race. I’m leaning toward the latter.

is her md in primary shamanism? probably a firm believer in fgm

She’s crazy. No need to cure the corona virus. As we all know, it just went away — all by itself, without a vaccine — in April.

Or at least that’s what Trump said.

Yet here we are, dying at the rate of 1,000 a day in the U.S.A.

    That’s 365,000 a year . . . and accelerating.

Trump said he didn’t know what country she’s from but all those shithole countries look alike to him.

As for shutting her down on FB, she showed up on my feed (from a friend who loves quackery) with an order to read “before it’s taken down.”

My best friend long ago had a wife who developed paranoid schizophrenia. As he said, there is absolutely no entry point to work on that. I did not use to think that paranoid schizophrenia was contagious, but I was wrong.

  14. Jane & PKM says:

Brad in Dallas @5, Kate Dungan @6 and others, thank you. It seems the AMA is doing as crappy a job as the ABA and corporate interests at “policing their own.” And other good reasons to never trust unregulated capitalism or police unions to ‘supervise’ police.

The rule of law is worth exactly what the ‘respect’ Republicons show for it – a big fat zero.

For all her crazy the ‘pediatrician’ is slightly less lethal than Donnie* fluffer Birx without the scarf. Not that any ‘doctor’ like the infamous Ronny or any of Donnie’s* medical miracles should be doctors any more than Bill Barr should be an ‘attorney.’

So when he was asked about his embracing Dr Stella’s bonkers conspiracy theory about hydroxychloroquine and other even more bizarre things, he stomped out. Before leaving, he actually asked why people don’t like him. He said it must be his personality. Wow, he’s coming around. This would be a good discussion for us. Why don’t we like him (except Bret Favre seems to like him now)?

  17. Sam in Superior says:

Her ideas are BS but not any crazier than Steven Hotze’s “hormonal” cures at his clinic.

    17
  18. The school she attended in Nigeria appears to be legitimate. US medical schools produce plenty of cranks. No need to be looking at her origins or the school she attended for explanations. She just happens to be a nut.

  19. Alan Johns, MD says:

i just posted this on facebook about my recent experience with demon sperm:
I was in the operating room yesterday. My patient had the worst case of endometriosis I have seen in a few years – lesions everywhere, adhesions, it was a mess. It took a herculean effort to get the uterus out without injuring anything. I sent a couple of the lesions to the pathologist for a frozen section diagnosis, wanting to make sure it was actually endometriosis and not clear cell adenocarcinoma.

The pathologist came into the operating room, pale, wide-eyed, and nervous. I thought “oh shit, it’s cancer. Everyone stopped, eyes fixed on him. In a quivering voice he said, “Dr. Johns, it’s demon sperm”.

“Are you certain?” I asked. “Yes, no doubt” he replied. “Every one of them had 7 heads and 7 tails, the middle head had a large red “D” on the head. No doubt, demon sperm”.

After we all caught our breath, I called for the hospital exorcist who, fortunately, was immediately available. She came into the room, dressed completely in black. Holding a silver cross over the open abdomen she spoke loudly in perfect pig-Latin “Hey, you in there, cut that crap out” while waving the cross over the bed.

A thousand butterflies flew out of the open abdomen directly into the wall suction and disappeared. As I caught my breath, i looked into my patient’s abdomen and, much to my astonishment, saw a completely normal pelvis (except for the missing uterus). Grasping what had just happened, I quickly put the uterus back into place and tried to close the abdomen, but it healed quicker than I could move.

Minutes later my patient got up off the operating table, smiled at me, and walked out of the operating suite to her car and drove off.

Weirdest case I have ever seen, but definitely demon sperm.

It’s a semi-true story, believe it or not.

  20. Andy Hall says:

She graduated medical school in Nigeria in 1990, and did a residency in pediatrics in Brooklyn in 1995-98. She appears to have been practicing in Louisiana from 1998 to 2019, when she relocated to Houston and was licensed (first temporary, then full licensure) in 2019. She does not appear to have any board certifications. I could not find any disciplinary actions against her listed in any of those three states. Her strip mall clinic in Houston apparently has three advanced practice nurses working there.

So yes, she’s a real physician, at least by a minimal definition. But we have a lot of crazy people in Texas who are also licensed to practice medicine. See also: Ron Paul.
