“No one has ever asked us to lie about anything,” a Trump campaign official told The Hill in a statement on Tuesday. “The poll in question shows President Trump beating a defined Democrat opponent.”

4This is my real problem with his lies – he believes them. What will happen when he loses in 2020 (please God)? He will say he didn’t lose and just carry on!

8Jane and PKM, don’t forget that we saw his whole slimy, bullying, misogynistic self on display in debates against Hillary, and he still won. Don’t put toon much stock in the debates (if he even agrees to any).
9I remember an interview with Karl Rove on NPR immediately before the 2008 election. Polls gave Obama a comfortable lead, 6+ points, but Rove insisted Obama would lose. When pressed, Rove countered you have polls, but we have THE poll (or something to that effect).
I’m sure Trump can find a poll he likes too. Or have someone in the West Wing lie about it, or skip the middleman and lie directly on Twitter.

11I remeber at the time that the story was that “anomymous” had prevent the gop from rigging vote count in ohio and another state and rove was waiting for his pre-agreed upon vote counts to show up.
Among the digital, and voter machine watchdogs, this was wide spread and with more then a little supporting facts, evidence and behavior was given credence. I beleive even Spocko ( I could remeber this part in error) was interested in this and barring definitive proof either way ( no official investigation) was inclined to beleive it
The media decided to relagate this story to just another “conspiracy” theory.
Of course since 2 black men supposedly wearing Black Panther (political group for the young naifs that may read this) “uniform” showing up at a voting site somewhere was way more important.

djw@9, IQ4.5 went through the Republicon debates being a total jerk. Not limiting himself to low energy Jeb, Little Marco and Lyin’ Ted, he abused the moderators, too. Really unfortunate that Hilz didn’t have a son. A boy to drag Donnie off the stage and whoop him for lurking that close to Hilz.
If Donnie is still around in 2020, I’d be happy to act as a surrogate son to either Senator Warren or Senator Harris. Similar to never hitting a woman, hitting an old man would be wrong. But Donnie says he’s exceptional…
From the time he descended the escalator every name he called others and every misdeed he accused others of committing, Donnie laid down a roadmap of the crimes he and his maladministration would be committing.
I owe Rexxon Drillerson an apology for thinking he’d be the worst of the bunch. In my defense, who in their fondest nightmare would have anticipated Rex being the good guy of this maladministration? Albeit he dismantled the State Department and probably discouraged the next ten years of graduating talent from considering public service. But at least he didn’t steal the office furniture, reroute the budget to his personal offshore account or grab a C-32 or three as a parting gift to himself.
