Oh, The Republicans Are Wishing They’d Have Put That Guy On The Supreme Court

Oh Honey, Merrick Garland just called TFG’s bluff.  That sucker was cold as a snow cone in the Klondike.

It’s the OK Corrale and TFG blinked.  TFG doesn’t want his troops to see what was taken from his home.

And the good news is that TFG’s lawyers make Alex Jones’ lawyer look like a genius.

Have watched that clip several times today, and it is just perfect! Wonderful! Inspiring! Got the impression he edited that speech ferociously to keep the fury & disgust tightly controlled.
(My favorite BIL is a retired FBI agent.)

  2. “… TFG’s lawyers…”

How does he keep finding them? Do they work pro bono?
We must be keeping close to the day that he uses public defenders exclusively.

  3. J.J.,
I know you hadn’t lost the fire in your belly, but it’s been a rough couple years at TWMDBS. It hasn’t been this much fun at the shop in a while. Enjoy your upcoming Grammaw or Memaw, or whatever you Texans call an Abuela, and remember there’s a reason YOUNG people are the ones who have the babies. Pace yourself!
Also, thank you for the All Little Bubba, all the Time side channel. It as good as 24 hours of A Christmas Story.

  4. Rumors are flying that the docs in question involve NUKES! There is truly gonna be Hell to pay!

Hey, does anybody know Trump’s t-shirt size?

I was gonna buy him one of these:

  6. Trump had the power to turn over the warrant, affidavit and list of documents taken, to the press, while his Rethug minions berated the FBI for daring to retrieve the US classified documents, including nuclear docs! Instead he, once again, played the victim and incited the outrage of dimwits.
Now Garland’s motion to make it all public makes it Trump’s decision whether to object or proceed. Either way he loses.

    Added motions filed:

    * CNN, joined by the Washington Post, NBC News and Scripps, asked a court on Thursday to unseal documents connected to the FBI search of former President Trump’s Florida residence this week – including documents not covered by the Justice Department’s own bid to unseal a selection of the warrant materials.

    * Similar requests filed separately by the conservative group Judicial Watch, as well as the news outlets the Times Union and the New York Times, have prompted a magistrate judge to order that the Justice Department respond to the requests by 5 p.m. on Monday.

  8. Slipstream, the 5XL ought to do it.

  9. Her orangemess probably got the idea from Rick Perry, who knows everything about the nuculars

  10. Don`t need to be a genius to know Cry Baby won`t pay his lawyers . Cry Baby – “I don`t pay people who work for me, I`m TOO important” .

maryelle @ 6 trump don’t got the affidavits. I would expect Justice to resist releasing them unless there is an indictment.

Wally: in my younger days the terms for an Abuela would have been la anciana, la vieja, or if referring to the evil old bats that infested the neighborhood in my youth, la vieja bruja. But none of those apply to anyone at the Salon, and certainly not to its proprietess.

[In my defense, the worse of those neighborhood terrors openly called themselves “the three old witches”, but in Spanish. Every summer morning us boys would be rousted out and packed off with tow bags to fill with spilled grain from between the railroad rails near the local grain elevator. Which rats fed on, and got as big as grain-fed rats can get. Which in turn attracted rattle snakes, coyotes, and bobcats … and boys 5-12 years old dragging towsacks behind them. Nowadays it’d be called child abuse; those days it was called feeding the chickens.]

  13. Buttermilk Sky says:

Trump just hired Drew Findling to represent him in the Georgia criminal investigation into his “perfect” phone call with Brad Raffensperger, so maybe the indictment is coming soon. Findling, who once called Trump a racist and “pathetic,” is known on Twitter as #BillionDollarLawyer, so maybe he doesn’t need to get paid.
