Oh Hyatt, That’s Cute
Okay, so Hyatt Hotels issued a statement saying that symbols of hate are “abhorrent.”
That’s really nice of them for saying that as they stand in their hotel’s ballroom looking at a giant rune used by the Nazis and CPAC. Ya know, tsk-tsking at Nazi symbols while stuffing money into your pockets really doesn’t count more than about a 2 on the 100 point sincerity scale.
The ceiling of the conference room featured a lighting display in the same shape as the stage, according to Reuters photographs.
“abhorrent” “unavoidable” … how about uncorrected, Hyatt? By definition temporary staging can be removed quickly, thus replaced. That abomination was identified prior,/i> to the opening bell, yet was not removed from your hotel.
So yeah, Ms. JJ is correct: “Ya know, tsk-tsking at Nazi symbols while stuffing money into your pockets really doesn’t count more than about a 2 on the 100 point sincerity scale.”
1So, what does Hyatt intend to do about it? Banning the American Conservative Union from all their hotels forever would be a nice start. But that would cost them money, so it’s not likely to happen.
2Why would they even rate a 2? Give them a zero. Trumpf is as much a symbol of hate as anything could be (along with many of the speakers).
3Remind me to take the hyatt off my list of places to stay.
I like to know the companies who donate to or abet the GOP in their crazed actions. One more on the list.
4Just guessing here, but the fuss about this got more attention than the offense. I had never heard of this before and I am pretty well educated.
5I think the stage should be called exactly what it represents. A Odal/Othala Rune, 100% Nazi symbol. CPAC was attended by at least 10 US Senators and about 20 House members. What are they thinking or they maybe they’re not.
6So once again, a rather ancient symbol. Technically a symbol for protection in some of its origins is ruined by Nazi association. Like the fylfot (swastika).
If you really want to piss off CPAC, accuse them not of Nazism, but that they are using Pagan Germanic symbols proving they are not really Christian in faith. That will actually set their hair on fire in a different way.
7Star @7 while your concept is excellent, “Pagan Germanic symbols” would go flying over their pointy little heads. At a minimum it would require tying them to their Christmas trees and torching them as the attention getting step. Irony as with most things is lost on the QOP.
8Like tRump himself, the CPAC mofos are telling, showing, flagrantly demonstrating, -exactly-, proudly, who and what they are.
Their millions of slavish follows, no matter how self-ignorant, get the symbolic devices and allusions used by the christo-fascist propagandists who control the GQP.
Democrats always think of things in much more concrete factual terms, and are often slow to catch on what their unAmerican enemies are really up to.
.
Here’s another brand that needs an all-out boycott: Goya products [mostly canned goods].
Goya’s CEO is a rabid tRumpanzee, and spoke at CPAC. His remarks were extremely offensive.
I’m wondering if his forebears were possibly Spanish nationals who were probably close to fascist Generalissimo Franco, maybe even his liasspns to Hitler and the Nazis.:

9Sandridge- yes, yes, yes. No, no, no Goya big time (just like no my pillows). In fact, if anyone has any Goya products, take em back. I’m also mailing my hyatt rewards card back in little pieces (except for my name).
