Black while birding? You know what kind of people do birding? Not violent people, I can tell you that. Put your damn dog on a leash whether you’re white or not because it’s the law.

1Regarding the bird watching call; I was just as shocked at the treatment she had towards her dog & was very pleased to know it has been removed from her house, hopefully to a loving non-collar choking family.

3Thank God for cell phone video. “There’s a black man threatening my life by videoing me.” Jesus. And her treatment of her dog is just all of a piece. I, too, am finding it embarrassing to be old and white.
4No crime too small to become a major felony while black. The white ‘splaining on the internet has been a lesson in white privilege. The sister of the man set up for execution by cop NYPD style has been questioned as to why she felt the “need” to defend her brother. Yeah. That. As if we haven’t seen the character of the victims assassinated in court multiple times. Or, gee, I have no idea why she or any person of color might think to video tape a record of events. Then the co-worker and friend who via Twitter described Mr. Cooper’s impressive resume only to have it go completely over the heads of white ‘splainers, as if tweeting were the latest crime while black. They so missed the irony of little Miss Amy and her presumptions about a black man and her assumptions about her own “superior” white privileged ignorant self. Irony doubled down and tripled.
Yeah. That. In John Robert’s “post racial” America. Followed by the murder of George Floyd by cop in Minneapolis. Again video tape hoping that justice does not continue to elude citizens being murdered by those “sworn to protect and serve.”
Black men, women and children being murdered by white people calling in hits and/or ignoring what is happening. Next time we see a person being pulled over in a traffic stop or for the crime of walking on a street, we need to pull over our own selves and start recording.
5I lived in St Paul for over 2 years and often drove by where one of the murders by police occurred. There are at least 4 murders committed by police in the area in 3 years., perhaps that is explained by:

6Mr. Floyd died because he apparently resembled someone they were seeking for passing a counterfeit bill at a deli. Just as Amadou Diallo died for resembling a man sought for rape. Being black can be a death sentence.

Earlier, I read an El Jefe post about the Minneapolis cop murdering a black man, now it’s gone. Was it erroneous in some way?
Meanwhile , protesters of this heinous event get teargassed, while Anglo Nazis nationwide protest and threaten officeholders and government entities, and get treated with kid gloves… WTF?

There are some people who never damn learn. Lessons can be happening all around them but they do not absorb anything. The Minnesota cop has no excuse, nor do the other cops around him. At least some people among the observers were objecting but if they had butted in they could have been arrested or worse.
