My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
I read Mike Crowe’s execrable comment and loved the replies to it. He’s like the Grinch; his heart is two sizes too small.

2Excellent article, J.J. Your ability to summon up the colloquial jargon of those ‘colorful’ Texans just draws the reader in:
3“bucketfuls of sanctimony”,
“turn 18, get drunk, buy a gun and vote…all on the same day”
“Grandpa would swear by his suspenders…”
“mean enough to eat bees…”
“asshole brigade”
“Ignorant sumbitch”

I make a point to read all of your OutSmart pieces but there’s a problem; the full article refuses to show up on my phone. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but the article just stops about 3/4 of the way down, then a long blank space, then ads. I’m using an Android phone and Chrome so that right there may be the problem. I usually have to wait for a trip to the library and read it there on a PC. Odd… just happens on the phone. Hmmm….
But what I can get I liked!

Randy is from Houston and went to Sterling HS with me unfortunately for me. He was a cheerleader who barely made grades to stay at it. He skipped classes daily. He was a class clown. He graduated in 71 or 2 I forget. I was out in 70. He moved to Pearland with the white fight in the 70s. So many of my old schoolmates did that some earlier in 68 when the flight started. He is supported by Nixon Repugs and was barely making a living in the AC business when he ran for office. Typical. Sterling was a Jr Sr in those days and a big school. Randy has name recognition withe at least 2,000 maybe more due to church affiliations. His peers are in their 60s and established and “white” so he had a fairly easy time getting elected. Also going against the idiot O’Day from Pearland he had an easy primary. He lives in S Pearland or Alvin or did. Of course he hit it big so he may have even moved to W Pearland to a McMansion. He is a mini Trump with real religion.
