Mitch is in one damn celebrating mood!
The Kentucky Farm Bureau helped, and Mitch’s campaign couldn’t be prouder.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s campaign tweeted out a photo of satirical tombstones over the weekend, including one featuring an election opponent’s name, hours after the mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, that claimed the lives of 22 people.
The tombstones named Amy McGrath, his main Democratic opponent in the 2020 Senate race for Kentucky, as well as Judge Merrick Garland, whose nomination to the Supreme Court he blocked during the last year of Barack Obama’s presidency.
And just in case you didn’t get the “We want to kill people” thing, they had backup from a bunch of future Brett Kavanaughs.
Yes, they are pretending to strangle Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez while groping her.
She asked Mitch:

Conspiracy theories are running amok! There are not a few people suggesting that the injuries to Moscow Mitch and crazy Rand Paul are so timely that neither one of them will be able to attend any townhall meetings or otherwise meet with their constituents. Like either of them was looking forward to that!
I’ve even heard the suggestion that Ol’ Mitch may decide to hang it up to stay home and count his rubles, rather than run for re-election.
I can’t help but wonder if all those chickens are finally coming home to roost for Moscow Mitch. Not a minute too soon, either.

Do Kentucky farms raise anything that’s been affected by Trump’s tariffs? Are Kentucky farmers getting any of that socialized cash?
3A few weeks ago there was a Twitter thread called #RIP45, about the young Angels pitcher who died (it was his number). The Trumpanzees had a fit, accusing “leftists” of celebrating Trump’s demise — obviously they didn’t even bother reading the posts. It’s only funny when they post headstones, rifle sights, and proposals to rape female politicians. Civility, please!

7AOC is truly bang-on in her use of Twitter. She has slipped up a few times, but almost always she hits back quickly with the right level of scorn and disgust, and corrects the outright falsehoods the RWNJs spew on social media.
Remember Bill Clinton’s 1992 campaign, where his team made it a principle that they would respond immediately to any attacks? And to do something no Republican would ever do: when he was wrong, they admitted it, apologized, and moved on.
Social media gives the ability to carry that out that cycle in minutes instead of hours or days. Sadly I don’t think any of the DNC, DSCC, DCCC are capable of realizing this, and are more likely to hand over the tweets to the campaign consultants who have spent their entire lifes sucking up to Wall Street and big donors in Washington. AOC’s kind of rapid response requires intelligence and quick wits, neither of which the national organizations have.
And not to sound prejudiced or anything, but those knuckleheads look like frat boys in the larval state. In 38 years of teaching at a university level, EVERY case of undergrad cheating I’ve had has been either frat boys … or sorority girls.
8Suzanne, farmers are supposed to be getting financial help due to the HIT they took from tariffs. The money is based on what their major crop or livestock is. It looks like a lot on paper but the first time around some selected farmers such as dairy operators got damn near nada whereas cotton and soybean people did better. This the the second go around for financial relief for the farmers. What they would really like is a free market and none of this tariff jazz.
