Message to Robert Mueller: Hurry Up
The White House released Jeff Sessions undated resignation letter today, throwing the government once again into absolute chaos after a frenzied election day that ended less that 12 hours earlier. After forcing out Sessions, Trump named a radical partisan talking head, Matthew Whitaker as interim AG. Whitaker has often talked on television about how the Mueller investigation is too far reaching and that he would have indicted Hillary Clinton for her emails. What a great choice as the US’s top cop. The drinking game continues where you name the absolute worst person Trump could name for a top job, then when that person is named, DRINK! This is how the day began (after he threatened to use his political power in the Senate to retaliate if House Democrats dare investigate him for his numerous violations of the rule of law and common decency.
It’s clear now that Trump is going to try to shut down the Mueller investigation. I’m hoping Mueller is about done, if he’s not, he better hurry.
Tomorrow, we’ll be talking about Trump’s meltdown during the press conference today. That’s worth a post only about that.
You don’t by any chance have part ownership in a Rehab facility, do you? Just thinking about that much alcohol makes me ill.
Trump…the job creator.
145 isn’t the only deplorable on team GOP: “Georgia’s secretary of state Brian Kemp doxes thousands of absentee voters” ^
Why on Earth would he do that, outside of proving his incompetence?

2You can be sure the the impeccably careful and precise Robert Mueller has already shared all pertinent information with state prosecutors in every jurisdiction.
No presidential pardons for state criminal convictions allowed.
3Sideshow of outrage, but I need to vent. According to this New York Times graphic (little numbers on left and right just above the map), Democratic candidates for US Senate got 46 million votes, 57% of the total, and GOP candidates got 33.6 million, 41% of the total. But the GOP gets at least 51 seats and control of the chamber, despite winning *12.4 million fewer* votes.
It’s as if the whole ****ing COUNTRY is gerrymandered.

4Whitaker is far worse than you have suggested.
He has written that Marbury v Madison was wrongly decided.
He was deeply involved in a fraudulent company that was eventually fined $25 M, but he left two years ahead of the reaper.
And he wrote this:

and he thinks we should lock her up :

6A theory for you. Nick Lampson who is a former democratic Representative and was running for my county judge, said that the response to hurricane Harvey was ineffective because there was no preparedness plan in place.
I respect the hell out of Nick and what he’s accomplished (which is a lot).
But my theory is that the response to Harvey was totally planned.
Years in advance.
Lots of folks from Port Arthur were rescued from flooded homes by helicopter, put on planes and sent somewhere else. Lots of them haven’t come back. Port Arthur is predominantly populated by minorities, with a lot of African Americans.
I remember after Katrina, a lot of folks relocated, lots went to Houston. And didn’t go back.
Thereby changing the electoral map.
Just like what happened here.
Naomi Kline talked about Katrina in terms of opportunities for the rich to scoop up real estate cheap. Maybe she talked about government sponsored relocation of voters, I don’t remember. But it would be interesting to see a study of where disaster victims were relocated to by FEMA under repugnantcan administrations. Not just redistricting, but repopulating. Lakoff talked about repugnantcans investing in infrastructure for decades. Think tanks.
Kline talked about them plotting contingency plans for any disaster, and making it look like great governance. Helping the poor.
When in reality they were laying the groundwork for lining the pockets of the 1%’
I just find it interesting that it appears to also weaken Democratic strongholds
But that’s just my opinion. And I’m just as full of sh*t as anybody else.
Stick a quarter in the slot in Whitaker’s head and he will say and do anything you want completely without conscience. Gee! Did I just say that?
7Whittaker is an unconfirmed highly partisan political “appointee.” Robert Mueller has well respected creds acknowledged by everyone but the most partisan hacks of which Whittaker is one. Bring it Matt, we dare you. It goes without saying that Old Scratch McConnell will be of no help to Team Mueller, whereas for the most part the Senate judicial committee functions on a bi-partisan basis and the House is soon to have a new Sheriff. Thus if Donnie really wants to keep his dirty laundry secret, using Matt to provide cover could backfire bigly. Round 1 – Mueller refuses to hand any documents over to Matt because Matt has vocally in his own words proven he can’t be trusted. Round 1 and ensuing rounds 2-10 to Team Mueller based simply on the reality that every document they are forced to hand over becomes public at some point or another. The first & most if not all leaks won’t be from Team Mueller, the House or the Senate; not with this WH that leaks worse than the Pontchartrain Levee District during Katrina. The “quiet” Donnie seeks and a “gun battle” are mutually exclusive entities. Dotard45 as Elmer Fudd, let the fun and games begin – if you dare, Donnie.
8Once again I beleive that the media, and much of the public, are misreading demnted donnie.
9he is neither scared or depressed rather with a supreme court majority to block any evidence gathering, a propaganda network and a senate majority who revels in their treason he is feeling his oats and finally cutting loose now that he doesn’t have to worry about thugs in the house.
Look for it to get much much worse.
I agree with K that Trump just threw a temper tantrum; Steve Schmidt said that Trump would just ignore the reality of the Democratic takeover of the House. Then to pull that stunt with Whitaker as acting AG without any confirmation by Senate. He’s constantly pushing the envelope waiting to see how much we let him get away with. He has no conscience and cares less about the country and its population. He functions more like a “thing” than a human being.
10I had a substitute teacher ( not a good pick) in the 6th grade who used to tell students whose behavior she didn’t like that “she’d just pinch their head off and tell God they died”.
11I was astounded at the time but thinking about Trump’s behavior it doesn’t sound half bad!
Making a unlikely assumption that senate thugs would find confirming whitaker as Ag would be a bit to much. But for a chamber that has confirmed a number of “unqualified” (by ABA) senior court judges how difficult would it be for them to approve an unqualified partisan hack as AG?
12But let us assume ( econ training) that whitaker is not named. Who is next on the list?
a lot of people are floating chris christie but I think not.
My guess is kris kobach.
They can pretend that he doesn’t have any association with russia probe, that christie does have, and thus can NOT be asked to recuse himself from russia probe.
Also, considering the judge’s comments on the last trail he ran, where judge ordered some remedial training, has the proper ignorance and contempt for the law that would appeal to demented donnie.
