My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.

4May I add my Holiday Wishes (whichever holiday you choose to observe!) to everyone else’s here. We have awakened to temps well below freezing and a dusting of snow, and my family is waking up to the smell of roasting bird (I went back to bed after popping him in the oven at 0-dark-thirty). May we all have a better 2018 than 2017….life, health, happiness, and the election of more progressives!

8Very, very nice gift of music for this Christmas day! Just what I needed when the sirens woke me up this AM. Someone down the street was already burning ripped up wrapping paper in a wonky fireplace. Am upright now which means onward and upward and hoping to remember which comes first! Merry Christmas!

11As we celebrate in our individual ways, we celebrate diversity. We don’t need MAGA because America is already great thanks to the diversity of individuals. In the spirit of Black is Beautiful, we need unifying hats for 2018: America the Beautiful. Let’s make 2018 the year we celebrate inclusion and the love of everyone under the 14th Amendment. May equality be the mantra that moves us forward.
