Matt Who?
This morning, during one of his now famous Helicopter-Whining-In-The-Background press gaggles, Trump disavowed even knowing Matthew Whitaker, who he had just appointed as acting Attorney General of the United States. That’s right, folks – Donald Only the Finest People Trump just appointed a guy to the Justice Department that he says he doesn’t know. Which is funny, since Whitaker has visited him several times in the Oval Office.
Trump has been receiving withering criticism from all sides for Whitaker’s appointment which jumped him over a number of highly qualified professionals in an unprecedented move to obstruct justice, since as a Fox Noise talking head, Whitaker has argued vehemently that the Mueller investigation should stop and that Hillary should be in jail. What a sweetheart.
Anyhoo, the fat lady ain’t sung on this one yet, and I predict it won’t end well, for Whitaker, anyway, since everything Trump touches dies.
C’mon down, …. ___ Matt. You’ve already been fined $millions for fraud. Step on into the bright shiny lights of scrutiny where we can turn up some prison time for you. Guaranteed that if you spend as much time at DOJ as AG as the Mooch did in this maladministration as whatever it was Hope Hicks didn’t do, you’ll walk into some John Mitchell style obstruction of justice charges.
Bob Mueller has to be laughing. Lordy, he didn’t have to subpoena this one. Donnie sent him over there via appointment. Twice. Friend of Donnie, Jeff and Sam Clovis – steeeeeeee .. rike three.

2Trump does know Whitaker, and has spoken about the Russia investigation with him. “As Sessions’s chief of staff, Whitaker met with the president in the Oval Office more than a dozen times, normally accompanying the attorney general, according to a senior administration official,” the Washington Post reported yesterday. “When Trump complained about the Mueller investigation, Whitaker often smiled knowingly and nodded in assent, the official said.” Last month, Trump told Fox News, “I know Matt Whitaker.”

As for Whitaker stopping Mueller, he is waaayyyy too late. Mueller has been at least 12 steps ahead of everyone else ever since he took the job. Look who has been indicted. They include fathers and sons. And Trump’s Stormy Daniels payoff lawyer is still singing. Plus with the Dems in control of the House, Mueller’s report can just go straight over to them where they can decide to just simply report it out to the public and maybe go even a bit further with procedures. Otherwise, Whitaker is tRump’s eyes and ears at the DOJ. Wonder how many people are going to stay away from his office no matter what.
