So I’m thinking this NYT story is good reporting, but based on information leaked selectively to convince everybody that his tax returns prove he lost a lotta money.

These f**kers have had a long time to scrub/cover up who knows how much Russian money/influence that woulda been uncovered if his returns had come out before they were there to prevent it.
Thereby making it seem like Donnie Douchebag being a giant loser financially is the big reveal of his returns.

They’ll find a way to paint this as some kinda genius plan that he deployed to propel him into his current position of protector of everything White male Protestant.

We’ve been imploding for about fifteen years now*. I suspect the end will be quick, and soon. Unless the Democrats can erase these muthaeffers in 2020.

We began to waste trillions of dollars then, literally pissed it away in the sands of Iraq (over propaganda lies about WMD’s).
And much more importantly, allowed the Chinese (Red) to thrive, and overtake us as an economic power. The Chinese were able to concentrate on technology, research and developement, productive capacity, and a thousand other things. They wrought a true economic miracle in just 20 or 30 years. I measure by my own knowledge of several largely hidebound in comparison US industries, and a comparison of the tremendous growth of a number of US cities that I’ve seen, which pales against China’s cities. And yet the Chinese have done a hundred times as much in many fewer years.
All the while knowing that their biggest economic and military rival was standing in a pissant Middle East country and ‘pissing up a rope in a windstorm’. Literally trashing the ‘national patrimony’ for yet another Republican feverdream.
Then they nearly crashed the whole world economically.
It was up to President Obama to partially clean up some of the mess, not very well IMO (no ‘financiers’ were ever prosecuted, for one thing), and his and our enemies, those Rethugs, were cozied up to for the sake of ‘bipartisanship’ (which died long ago).

12The NYT story is all about decade-old filings.
Trump and Mnuchin still stonewall the decade before 2016.
One assumes they have reasons.
But the NY State government is moving to pass a law that directs the NY State tax authorities to comply with the House request for filings, and one assumes that if that passes, we’ll get the NY State version of the mcguffin he’s trying so desperately to hide.
13I remember Cohen saying he had several years of Trump’s financial statements that he was going to disclose. Anyone here know anything about that?

20I got so damn sick of watching them cheerfully selling us out on the news interviews [PBS Newshour]. Especially US Trade Rep Carla Hills [under GHWB] selling our industrial base out to the Chinese, and of course SHAFTA [where WJC lost me].
