Lookie What You Did
Thanks to your help, Operation Matthew 25 jumped from it’s original lofty goal of 25 backpack to 50. Cindy sent pictures. Click the little ones to see the big ones.
The first arrivals came from Fed Ex.
And then the Post Office sent a truck just for deliveries. Everything in the truck except the letters is for the backpacks.
Over the past week, Cindy’s house came close to qualifying for a Hoarders episode.
.
And then the unpacking started …
Thank you, Cindy Cole for putting the snowball on top of the hill and giving it a shove. Thanks to all of you for showing love, compassion, and generosity in a world where it is much needed. As we say here in Texas, “Good on you!” Smile all weekend because you’ve earned it.
That is great news. Kudos to Cindy for giving us the opportunity to help.
1Cool. Makes my weekend! A great round of applause for Cindy and crew for stepping up.

6Sweet Crabby, thank you for the repeat of the link and the update. The NV fans of The World’s Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc. would like to do more without burying you in boxes.
Would it be feasible to send checks to a PO Box for you, so you can purchase locally your more immediate needs? Please let us know what more can be done to assist the efforts to welcome these children.
In the words of General Colin Powell, ““You break it, you fix it.” The situation in Central America is on the CIA, Bush1 and Reagan.
But heart transcends politics, so until our foreign policy reflects the heart of the American people, we’re ready to do what is ever necessary to help the families. It’s the least we can do, so please, don’t be shy about asking us for help. We love and thank you for what you are doing.
7BRAVO! Thank you Cindy. Hope there are enough folks to take in 51,000 other children. If you haven’t seen the article about it in TEXAs OBSERVER, you might like to look there.
8What a cool idea! Thanks for sharing this here. Gonna do a little shoppin’ now….

20Being even a small part of this labor of love has been absolutely amazing. Love to Cindy & Victoria for their inspiration and hard work!
21Cindy, thank you for the addresses to Catholic Charities, as they will need support for the long term. You know us boys and our toys, so am very anxious to learn what we can send them that is most appropriate to their available space. My wife wanted to ask them about the number of fruit baskets that would be needed to assure every guest has a couple of pieces daily, then decided the best way was to send them the money, as the local fruit would be fresher and definitely more abundant than baskets.
Here in NV, we are in our infancy getting on board with our own program. We have the space, the resources and it would relieve some of the burdens on your courts. Working with Senator Reid’s staff to cut the red tape to sponsor families here and transfer their political asylum hearings here. These women and children have traveled far from their homes. They don’t need to be sent back and forth to court. Maybe even our Senator dean Heller will get on board, as there is money to be saved on travel expenses.
22I have a bunch of clothing suitable for boys or small men. Jeans with 34 waist and also some women’s clothes that can might fit teenage girls. I live in Houston. How can I arrange to donate some of these clothes?
23Glenn Beck says he’s sending a trailer full of stuff. I am glad to hear that, and I hope he’s thought to coordinate with Catholic Charities, as Cindy has done. He’ll get publicity — he’ll see to that. This reminds me of how luxury coach buses from North Carolina pulled into Austin last summer amid fanfare and cameras, while we shared cars with strangers and slept on floors to gather at the Capitol. We are gathering again, one by one, to be heard through our contributions to care for kids, moms, preteens all alone in a strange and frightening place. Every donation tells our elected officials what matters to us. Please, share the project and share our goal to care for these refugees.
