Limbaugh Dead at 70

February 17, 2021 By: El Jefe Category: Gleeful Cruelty and Dickishness, Traitor

The sky got a little brighter today when Rush Limbaugh died at age 70.  He announced sometime ago that he had stage 4 cancer and died from that today.  Limbaugh spent almost 30 years spewing bile and hatred over the radio waves culminating in Trump ruining the reputation of the Medal of Freedom by awarding it to Rush last year.

I’m not shedding any tears.  If that sounds harsh, it’s intended to be.

I just watched video of the trump trash palace hotel and casino being dynamited in Atlantic City. Then I turned on the news and saw that Limbaugh is dead. This may be the best Ash Wednesday ever.

  3. Chuck from Vancouver, USA says:

They can bury him wearing his Presidential Medal of Freedom.

  4. Sam in Superior says:

A cold dark day suddenly got a lot brighter.

  5. Harry Eagar says:

I laughed out loud when Brian Stelter said that, all things considered, Limbaugh’s death is a real blow to the Republican party.

When you lose a mean-spirited, racist junkie and that’s a bad thing, you really should fold your tent and go away.

    5
  6. Finally. No tears here. I’ve always thought the idea of not speaking ill of the dead is utter nonsense. He was evil while he lived. He deserves every condemnation.

  7. Steve from Beaverton says:

And now we have more ftucker carlson to infect our society and fill that void.

  8. It doesn’t seem fair that the people in Texas are freezing, yet
Limbaugh will be roasting(in hell) but hopefully the Texas
power will come back on soon while there will be no end to Rush’s torment. Poetic justice for a man who spent his life
tormenting others. Wonder how Bubba Jr. is feeling today?

  9. Catherine Riley says:

Today is my 70th birthday and as a gift from the FSM, Rush has left the building. Thank you! He was 70 as well, so I feel good to be outliving the scumbag.

    9
  10. Day to mark in the calendar: a Trump Tower (sadly not the right one) imploded today and a vile fascist has died and gone to hell.

Think I’ll pour myself a glass of bubbly.

    10
  11. Marcia in CO says:

Thank God and the Big C the bastard is gone!
    No tears here, either!

  12. A quote from Moms Mabley: They say you shouldn’t say nothin’ about the dead unless it’s good. He’s dead. Good!

    12
  13. I’m sure to the very end he enjoyed the best medical care that he would gladly deny to anyone not privileged like himself.

    13
  14. It’s probably best that his grave is sited in an undisclosed location.

    14
  15. @ Catherine Riley,
Happy birthday! Glad you’re with us.

As to Limbaugh, I hope he encounters more love and mercy than he ever showed to others.

  16. thatotherjean says:

My condolences to his family. Apart from that, I can’t work up an ounce of regret for his death, except that it took so long to happen.

  17. To honor the departed:

  18. Good.

    18
  19. Ironic. Rush of all people doing something decent for Black History Month.

  20. dobleremolque says:

Some people improve the world by having lived. Some people improve the world by having died.

I leave it to you to categorize Limbaugh’s death. But I know which statement I agree with.

    20
  21. His tombstone should be a toilet seat.

    21
  22. Robert Williams says:

A comedian from my youth, I think it was Moms Mabley, once said in regards to someone vile who died, “You should only speak good of the dead. He’s dead. Good.”

    22
  23. One down; a whole lot more to go.

    23
  24. Are there any other comparable sludge monkeys to take his place? Otherwise, fare whale…

    24
  25. Old Tenn Vol says:

I haven’t been doing the happy dance because that would just be tacky. However, I will be 98 years old in a couple of days, and that is the best birthday gift this old gal has ever received. Maybe I will do the happy dance after all.

    25
  26. As an atheist and non-believer in heaven and hell I think Rush just stops being. On the up side he is going to infect far fewer people with his vitriolic and malignant brand of hate and paranoia. Recordings may linger on a bit but Rush was never philosophical enough for his insights and propaganda to have anything but a very short half-life.

On the down side, no hell means he, as a living being, will not suffer any more. Even though he richly deserves to for what he has done to the world, this nation, the political life of this nation, and the mental health of its citizenry.

    26
  27. I just read that it’s National Random Act of Kindness Day today. So, many thanks, Rush!

    27
  28. Another positive, he never spawned.

    28
  29. Grandma Ada says:

I bet his interview with Saint Peter is interesting!

    29
  30. My Alabama daddy who died in 1997 said that Rush was just a shit ass.

    30
  31. Ormond Otvos says:

Shucks! I wanted to water the poison ivy on his grave…

    31
  32. @ Catherine Riley – Congratulations, Happy Birthday. I hit 7-oh next month; glad to see it can be done!.

    32
  33. As someone once said, I wish death on no one, but I read some obituaries with great pleasure

    33
  34. charles r phillips says:

In times like these, the untimely death of a celebrated personality, we should reflect on what we truly believe in.

I believe I’ll have another beer.

    Lagunitas Little Sumpin’ Ale, btw.

    34
  35. My southern upbringing taught me to speak only good of the newly dead.

    Rush is dead. Good.

Waking up to that and the video of one of Trump’s casino towers in AC being demolished put me into a good mood for the day.

    35
  36. Don A in Pennsyltucky says:

In the mid-1980s I had a job that entailed a lot of windshield time and I enjoyed listening to Paul Harvey. Before he came on there was this other guy — who turned out to be Rush — and I remember thinking “This guy should be careful; some people might think he’s serious.” That’s how far off the wall he was back then.

    36
  37. Harry Eagar says:

I rarely heard any of Limbaugh’s show, and when I did he was mostly trolling unsuccessfully for callers. At his peak he reached only about 1% of the population.

It was the pass-along that gave his views such potency.

He outlasted Beck and O’Reilly; although there are gazillions of these jerks on the air, only a handful have hit the big time, and the attrition among them has been high.

Several people on Facebook have mentioned something I did not know about: that he used to read the names of people who died from AIDS with celebratory bells and fireworks.

  38. “They say you shouldn’t say nothin’ about the dead unless it’s good. He’s dead. Good!”

  39. Mark Schlemmer says:

We called him Rush Limpwad. As someone suggested he really should be buried in an unmarked grave because there has to be far more people than me who will seek it out to piss on it.

If former president dumpster actually gets a library built perhaps they could be buried side by side. It would be awfully convenient
for some of us. Just saying . . . .

    39
  40. Richard @ 21,

His grave should be under an outhouse. May he roast in hell.

    Mark Schlemmer @ 39,

I convenient place for your dog to relieve itself.

  41. Love ending my day with a smile like this.

    Make that

The Rush Limbaugh Memorial Porcine Waste Treatment Plant

and locate it in the back corner of the nastiest factory farm you can find and you’ve got a deal.

    42
  43. My thoughts were that at least he will be warm where he is at now.

    43
  44. Aghast in Austin says:

I love the smell of rancid, racist fat frying in sulfur in the morning. Adios, Rush.

    44
  45. Steve Schlackman says:

    Good riddance to bad rubbish.

    45
  46. Dick Schoonover says:

That smug mug’s epitaph can appropriately read, “Forgettable”.
