Like, They Had Vans and Stuff

Nick Carraway making fun of Republicans —

So, this woman in the tweet said that she worked for 24 straight hours on election day. That’s from 6 AM to 6 AM. She made it very plain that this was 24 hours for those of us with only ten fingers and ten toes. The Twitter machine is having a field day with that. It appears as if she is having difficulty reading the script. Either that, or they plucked her right after her 24 shift.

There are also some bold fashion choices going on there. There were some mentions of the B-52s on Twitter. That brought me back to my high school days, but let’s move on. Apparently, they didn’t feed all of the election workers in Michigan. Some vans came. She couldn’t see what was in them or what they brought out of them. They brought stuff out of the rear of the van and she knows it wasn’t food. That’s it. They’ve caught us red handed folks. Can someone please give this poor woman a donut before she passes out?

  1. The best people, and the best witnesses too!

In other voter fraud news, Texas Lt Gov Dan Patrick offered $1 million for proof of voter fraud. The Pennsylvania Lt Gov had a proven case where a man asked for an extra ballot for his dead mother. The man engaging in voter fraud was caught and you’ve probably already guessed – – he’s a Republican.

No word yet on whether the $1 million check is in the mail, although the post office for some reason has its own problems:

Miz Juanita, you still got that info on the Republican couple voting in Fort Bend County, Texas, and in Pennsylvania? You oughta get that million dollars from Dan Patrick. As I recall, you showed us all pictures of the relevant paperwork.

  4. Maybe Fox can broadcast the money transfer ceremony at the same time they air the segment showing Hannity making good on his promise to show national audiences that waterboarding isn’t torture by undergoing it on nationalTV.

Bet Fox would get a bipartisan viewing bump for that broadcast.

Fantastic lies haven’t stopped repugnanticans for months, even before the current election fraud conspiracy effort. They are running out conspiracies to throw against the courthouse walls. And Trumpf knows it finally by some reports. Yesterday, according to Politico, he held a “staff meeting” whatever that is in this current WH. Not about the exploding coronavirus, but more of the same election bullshit. Trumpf threw out there if they could get red state legislatures where he is behind to choose electoral college electors to vote for him instead of Biden. Been expecting that movement by his operatives. After Arizona was called again today, they’d have to get 20 and likely 36 electors to violate their state results.
I listened to the attached video by Neal Katyal yesterday which gives me some relief that this repugnantican plan won’t work. If you’re interested, take a few minutes to listen to a real attorney. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CHbs4IH67H/

  6. Decision-derision 2020. The decision was made Donnie. Voters demonstrated they were tired of your derision and erosion of democratic principles. You’re out. O-U-T! Out, a good word. Not too big, one syllable and hopefully within Covidiot* 45’s limited vocabulary.

The twitter battle goes to two wits today, Michael McFaul and Bruce Padget who both nail down Donnie and the GOP.

Remember four years ago when people called 306 a landslide, a blowout, a historic mandate, and urged everyone to stop being sore losers? I do.

Sorry to say the site I copied in above for Neal Katyal’s podcast video on Twitter would not open. Trust me to say, he says based on law and the Constitution, attempts for state legislators to try and change how EC electors are chosen cannot be done after the election. Had they legislated changes for their state before, it could be possible. That doesn’t mean there won’t be some rogue electors that will try (2 did it in WA state in 2016 and were heavily fined).
Oh, and Georgia was just called, so Biden hit 306 EC votes!
The fat lady is singing as they say at the old ballgame.

She doesn’t know that many vans are loaded and unloaded from the “back of the vans”?? She sounds like she thinks that’s suspicious. We have a big ol’ van and we never put hay in or out by the side door…or lumber…or PVC pipe (we’ve dug a lot of ditches and installed sewer pipe to improve drainage so we can get from gate A to gate B without losing boots in wet weather. Also, if you’re a horse nut like me, sewer pipe makes great ground poles and jump poles.) Taking stuff in and out the back means not interfering with passing motorists or pedestrians.

I get the idea she’s a suburban princess.

It is the production values that get me. Even when you call into a call in show there is a screener that gets the gist of what you plan on saying beforehand. You would think a television segment would have more scrutiny beforehand. You got the idea that poor Dobbs was led to believe this woman had real evidence. Midway through the segment he seems to realized he’s been duped by his producers. And we are cutting to commercial….

  10. Nick Carroway says:

    Yes.
Fox News is well known for posting “polls” with response categories that add up to well over 100%. Or maps with state names labeled incorrectly. (A particular pet peeve of mine as I correctly wrote in the names of 48 states when given a blank map of the US – – in 2nd grade.)

But Fox BUSINESS news? Isn’t that a program for people who are bucks up and have money to invest? A show where supposedly time is money, and the devil is in the details? And their guest is the best witness available, who somehow as you noted made it through a pre-air interview screening? I wouldn’t invest a penny in a stock or bond based on a Fox Business recommendation if this segment is an example of their research and analysis ability.

  11. Wayne County Circuit Judge Timothy Kenny just rejected the GOP lawsuit for an audit of the county’s votes. He called the lawsuit’s interpretation of events in the counting center “incorrect and not credible”, even went so far as to scold the GOP challengers for not attending the training for observers.

The affidavits submitted with the lawsuit were laughable, or would be if they weren’t so racist.

    11
  12. Steve from Beaverton says:

Nick, poor Lou Dobbs? You give him way too much credit. He’s as crazy as they come, and to be called a journalist is a sick joke (not that you did). Maria Bartiromo is in the same mold. Can’t believe even fox “news” doesn’t see that. Take that back, not surprised at lol. Might as well make Giuliani a news anchor, too.
And to think fox would ever scrutinize segments for truth or legitimacy is, well, never going to happen.

    12
  13. They have a long history of “mis-labeling” video segments that purport to show one thing but are actually footage of some other event either years before or some other country even and often both. Jon Stewart used to catch them out all the time on his show. When they admitted it (which wasn’t always done) they generally blamed it on a “production error.” For a multibillion $ company they sure do have a lot of “production error” going on.

    13
  14. Doesn’t matter how whacked the “witness” is. The is fodder for the True Believers. The more ridiculous the claim, the more the Trumpies buy it. Keep the rabble roused and the dollars following into Trump Inc.’s latest flim flam scam.

    14
  15. Honey, no way that princess coulda worked for 24 hours straight. Those false eyelashes woulda been so heavy…well, maybe that’s why even though she could not see into those vans she just knew there was no food in there.
    Huh?

    15
  16. Nick Carroway says:

Of course Dobbs has no credibility. I was flying my sarcasm flag high.

    16
  17. Oh, man! I dropped 10 IQ points watching that.

  18. #12 Rudi a news anchor? Only if you don’t secure the “bitter end” of the anchor line when you release him.
