Lest We Forget
Yesterday the NYTimes published an annotated video documenting in extreme detail the events of January 6, 2021, where thousands of insurrectionists attempted to stop the Electoral College certification in an effort to overthrow the US government and install FG as dictator. It failed spectacularly, but, since one of our major political parties is trying to sweep this effort under the rug and continuing to pay homage to the criminal who incited the entire attack. This is a must watch for the entire 40 minutes. Send this link to everyone, especially those peddling the lie that this was “nothing”, because it most certainly not nothing.
I viewed without sound inasmuch a I can do some lip reading. 1. I am grateful there are enough judges in this country who will not put up with this stuff and have remanded captured rioters to jail. 2. The FBI is hell bent to round up every last one of these boot lickers and has racked up a pretty good score at the moment with more to come. 3. Bring back firing squads for traitors, including those on the Hill that are still supporting this living hell. 4. And if the firing squad idea stalls, there is always Gitmo – for the rest of their fleabitten lives.

Hitler’s beer hall putsch failed spectacularly, too. Hitler himself went to jail where he was given all sorts of perks: a private, well appointed room, freedom to spend time with Rudolf Hess and the time and leisure to write Mein Kampf, and then there was the shortened sentence.
Fast forward to 2021: a woman was permitted to take her planned vacation to Mexico; many people were allowed to go home on their own recognizance while awaiting trial. And then there are the selfies with the Capitol police during the insurrection itself.
Oh, and we must never forget the shenanigans of the GOPpers in Congress —- far too numerous to go into here, but we all know what they have done and continue to do. They are not only giving aid and comfort to the insurrectionists, they’re arranging things so that, soon, they will be the largest voting bloc in the country.
We are NOT out of the woods.

4A front loader could have cleaned up the mess and a huge lawn between the Capitol building and the Washington monument for an unmarked mass grave.
