Leaked Recording of Trump Ordering GA Secretary of State to “Find” Enough Votes

January 03, 2021 By: El Jefe Category: 2020 Election, Trump

Here it is kids, in all of its glory, a recording made last night of Trump berating Brad Raffensberger for an HOUR, wanting him to “find” 11,780 votes so he could win Georgia.  Let’s be clear here – it is a federal CRIME for a federal employee or member of an agency to interfere in any way to change election results.  This is exactly what Trump did, LAST NIGHT.

Trump is desperate, couldn’t care less about the rule of law, and most certainly doesn’t care if you live or die.

Welcome to January, 2021.

  1. It’s not about WINNING!
    It never was.
    It’s about CHEATING!

  2. Cannot wait for January 20th to come. Letitia James has indictments unsealed at a minute past noon. I may move to NYC to cook for her, clean her toilets, and rub her shoulders when she is tired – so she can get it all done. Until then, I will be building her statue in the backyard. The squirrels are worried about my mental state.

    2
  3. The smell of treason is in the air.

  4. Steve from Beaverton says:

Like his saying he could murder someone on 5th Avenue and nothing would happen. Repugnanticans will just brush it off again, like crooze just calling it a distraction. It’s a felony that he won’t be held accountable for until after 1/20, but then needs to be prosecuted so it cannot be repeated by the next repugnantican president. Enough is enough. Raffensberger needs to file a complaint with the federal elections commission for starters.

    4
  5. Good thing Raffensberger had someone else on the line listening in – the state Attorney General. The charges are piling up so high against tRump!!!

  6. Can you imagine how many calls like this Trump has made over the past four years that we don’t know about? Can you do me a favor then?

In retrospect though Susan Collins was right, Trump did learn from it, he learned how to do it again.

Anyone who has ever studied democratically elected authoritarian regimes understands that the mantra is: one person, one vote, one time. All that it takes is one election to install someone who has absolutely no intent on leaving.

An equally troubling story, over at the Washington post, “All 10 living former defense secretary’s: Involving the military and election disputes would cross into dangerous territory.”
By the way that even includes Cheney, so ask yourself why do they feel a need to go on record now?

The next several weeks are dangerous.

    6
  7. ‘Hundreds of thousands’ of votes were illegally counted, lol is Trump talking about his crowd size again!
While it is not surprising Treasonous Trump pulls this crap, it’s what a psycho malignant narcissist (aka sadistic shithole) does, it is surprising a Republican didn’t support and encourage him.
Thank you GA Secretary of State for your honestly and loyalty to our rule of law and constitution!

  8. @Deb 6: The real news in this story is that a recording survived. Don was so desperate he forgot to make sure he wasn’t being recorded.

    8
  9. Trump sounds like Captain Queeg:

“Ahh, but the strawberries that’s… that’s where I had them. They laughed at me and made jokes but I proved beyond the shadow of a doubt and with… geometric logic… that a duplicate key to the wardroom icebox DID exist, and I’d have produced that key if they hadn’t of pulled the Caine out of action. I, I, I know now they were only trying to protect some fellow officers…”

  10. thatotherjean says:

Sedition on the one hand, and vote tampering on the other. In the words of the old song, “Sixteen Tons,”

“If the right one don’t get you, then the left one will.”

    Make it so, Georgia!

    10
  11. To paraphrase James Comey, “Oh, Lordy, there are tapes!”

    11
  12. Steve from Beaverton says:

Trumpf’s description of his call to Raffensberger- “it was a perfect call.” Sound familiar?

    12
  13. RepubAnon says:

One thing – this eliminates any possibility of the Biden Administration’s Attorney General declining to investigate Trump’s misdeeds. The downside to Trump’s negotiating style is that it only works on the powerless. Make someone with power angry enough, and they’ll come after you with everything they’ve got. I expect Dominion’s attorneys have a defamation suit against Trump all ready to be filed and served…

Plus, Trump’s failure to keep his mouth shut has again landed him in deep sewage. Had Trump not decided to Tweet his outrage that the Georgia Secretary of State was not bowing to Trump’s will, it seems unlikely that phone call would have been made public.

    13
  14. Grandma Ada says:

For some reason, when I heard this, I thought of David Whitely in 2019 saying that 95,000 voters were fake and started trying to get them off the roles.

    14
  15. Harry Eagar says:

RepubAnon. While I agree that his statements were actionable I do not expect any prosecution.

    15
  16. I bet $1 Trump says “I am not a crook” (or a close variant) in the next three days.

    16
  17. I can’t imagine it’s not a state crime also. And he can’t get pardoned out of that. Both Cruz’s and Cornyn’s answering machines were full any way I tried them. I left one for Nehls saying the impeachment should start on the next working day.

    17
  18. Sandridge says:

One of Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s first acts tomorrow should be to begin Impeachment II on the Mobster-in-Chief.
House judicial staff should be working feverishly overnight to have the paperwork ready when Pelosi gavels the 117th into session. Sure, it would be a largely symbolic effort, but one with a critical message that must be delivered.
Attempting and extorting election fraud, et alia, is also a major crime in Georgia, so the Georgia Attorney General should be all over this [and no federal pardon possible].

    .
And more outrageous bullshit: tRump will be ‘awarding’ the ‘Presidential Medal of Freedom’ to… Devin Nunes and Gym Jordan.

    .
    17.1 days left…

    18
  19. Steve from Beaverton says:

The medal of freedom is about as prestigious as a Cracker Jack toy under Trumpf. The pillow guy is next. Surprised he’s not also giving out his Nobel peace prizes. In his mind he has 2 of those, too.

    19
  20. slipstream says:

I took an oath to uphold and defend the constitution of the United States of America.

Trump is attacking the constitution by trying to subvert the secretary of state of Georgia to defy the voters who elected Joe Biden as the next President of the United States.

    My duty is clear.

    20
  21. Elizabeth Moon says:

Slipstream: And so say all of us who took that same oath, understood it then, and stand by it now.

Sandridge: Agreeing on impeachment proceedings. Need to make it crystal clear who supports the lying, vicious, lawless (and demented) criminal toad and who supports the Constitution, REAL law & order, and the country.

    21
  22. The best thing — actually the only good thing — about this call is how much space Stacy Abrams is occupying in Trump’s head. You actually have to listen to the whole hour to hear it but it is driving him crazy that he got beat by a BLACK WOMAN who might even be a little overweight. I love it. She has his number. He keeps coming back to talk about her because he can’t imagine that she beat him and is about to do it again tomorrow.

    22
  23. DaddyWasATexan says:

Could not wait to hear Stephanie Miller, etal tackle this one as they’re back from their Christmas break. Treason wasn’t the only thing stinking up the call. There’s actually audio of Trump farting and then reflexively saying Excuse me. Backs up what other people have said about his loose bowels.
